What gelcoat and tooling resin are you using to achieve 120c cure? Most ive seen only go to 90c.. Any warping of the moulds going to higher temps? Also what is your post cure cycle for the fibreglass moulds? Meanwhile, great work!
Hi, Thnx! These are full vinylester moulds. Most of the tooling resins they sell are Polyester! Like the unimould tooling from Easy composites this is vinyelester gelcoat , vinylester coupling and the tooling is polyester! This stil can perfect work to 110°C or even 120°C but only when your postcure is done perfect. I Installed a panasonic PID temp controller in my curing oven and also an intustrial grade temp sensor. This changes alot. you can do the normal postcure as they reccomend but you really got te be sure your temp is correct! I also like to make the dwell times 1 to 2 hours longer for each temp stage. This because it takes alot longer for vinylester moulds that are most of the time pretty thick of materiaal to get to the temp you want. tempcontrole is key in postcuring, also in producing prepreg in vinyelster moulds.
Yes, I dont really pay attention to it, I try to put the paper side to the mould for patern alignements. but this was a first test part in the autoclave. I found out in the autoclave it wont make any difference. out of autoclave you do better put the paper side in the mould.
Nice, I was thinkig to make inside mold with prepreg otside of the mold...

How come I haven't found you before, such a professional in making carbon fiber?🤣
Can you make an episode on how to create molds?
Thnx, I'm waiting to start making the new 2023 m1000rr moulds as soon as they come I make new videos
@@Republicofcomposites Splendid! I eagerly anticipate your favorable tidings.

Very nice result! How much time was it for all the prep work and bagging?
Thnx ,little over 1H
Did I see correctly that you are sticking the blue side into the Mold? Why?
