Grizzly Magnum I like the original better but banjo tooie is a great game I just don't like all the backtracking also it it made a water level fun so props there
I agree!!! I love the fact the worlds intertwine, made it feel kind of like Metroid a bit. Kazooie was streamlined which was fine, but it was just so much more fleshed out and in depth in Tooie.
I have kind of the opposite opinion but both are super awesome and both have amazing songs. Scariest song in either game though is the deep underwater part of Clanker's Cavern.
Yes, respect for Grunty Industries exterior! I like it so much more than the interior, which unfortunately is what you hear for the vast majority of the level. I love the instrumentation of the exterior so much, it's Grant Kirkhope crushing it.
In my opinion Banjo Tooie is better than the first for 4 reason: 1. There are Boss (in the first there weren't any except the box in rusty bucket bay and the final boss Grunilda). 2.There is the multiplayer. 3.There are more characters (and in my opinion better than Banjo Kazooie). 4. It has a better graphic (not much but it's however better).
10. Kind of depressing... 9. Not bad. 8. OK. 7. Tally-ho! 6. Hm. 5. Oh yes. 4. I hear bits of Weldar's theme. 3. Creepy. 2. Nice remix of Angry Aztec from DK 64 xD 1. Cool. I'm kind of surprised there are no boss themes oO
I just started to try and speed run, 100%, old Rare games. Kazooie, Tooie, and DK64 are all within my top 10 games ever. Maybe even top 5. I can't tell you how many times I have beaten these games and still fully enjoyed them. Thank you for the trip down nostalgia lane, Klagmar!
Do you think its weird that in the first game, nobody ever died. EVER. even if you lost (this applies to the enemies since i guess they are being knocked out). Then in Banjo Tooie. When you lose every1 in the island lost their life and also in the boss battle when u lose you technically die. I wonder why Rare wanted it to be more dark, dreadful, and fatal.
My favorite song in the game is Glitter Gulch Mine near Witchyworld, combines the best elements of both songs. I love the Hailfire peaks songs, too, they're probably my seconds favorite in the game. I love how hot lava themes sound like desert music but with more bass and drums.
I think the reason I liked Tooie much more than the first one is because the levels are expanded more over a huge Over World. Kazooie's levels are confined in this one Lair. Even though I could get turned around in Grunty's lair sometimes. My 2 favorite tracks of both games of all time are The Hag 1 final boss music from Tooie, and Grunty's lair theme from the first.
Fun n' Games, Mayhem Stadium/Lobby, Wumba's Wigwam, Bullion Bill's, Tower Of Tragedy, Mingy Jongo, Mumbo's Hut, Cloud Cuckooland, Chilly Willy/Chilli Billi, Terry, Atlantis, Racing With Mary, Old King Coal, Targitzan, Weldar, Hailfire Peaks Icy Side, Jinjo Village/Happy Jinjo House/King Jingaling's/Zombified Throne Room, Master Jiggywiggy's and(Party At)Bottles' House: AM I A JOKE TO YOU
How come the objectives of the games go from saving Banjo's sister, to preventing the whole population of the island from turning into zombies (ZOMBIES, FOR PETE'S SAKE!!!), and finally competing for Spiral Mountain? (Not including Grunty's Revenge, which I didn't even know existed for as long as I can remember.)
Then you prefer a short game without minigame and bosses (except the final boss and the box),without multiplayer, with less characters, with worse graphic and music?
I personally think that banjo kazooie had the better music. It's been a while and I don't remember what the levels were called, but the best ones were the first level and second level. They're all amazing but those are my personal favorite
My number 1 has to be glitter gulch mine. The theme just fits the level so perfectly and better than any other world themes, only thing i dislike was glitter gulch is the second world so it come and goes so fast...
@Klagmar Hm, I had a completely different opinion when I played through it. I viewed every level besides Mayahem Temple as boring and uninspired. None of them grabbed my attention; I just grabbed a few Jiggies and left as soon as I could, hoping that the next level would be better. I think I only got about 5 Jiggies in Terrydactyland because that level just bored me to tears.
@Klagmar Also, i liked the character development better in Banjo Kazooie, the arguments between Bottles and Kazooie, Gruntilda's rhymes throughout the lair, the funniest final boss battle ever conceived, the bullying ants, Loggo the toilet and of course, EEKUM BOKUM.
@Klagmar I can see why you prefer Tooie to the original, the levels are more diverse, and its a huge game. However, i think i myself am a complete sucker for originality, give me Banjo Kazooie over Tooie, give me Goldeneye over Perfect Dark. I played the original Banjo first, which helps. I wouldn't have liked to have played Tooie before Kazooie). I imagine being a Tooie fan, you also liked Donkey Kong 64? Man, Rareware were the dogs bollocks of gaming back in the days!
@Klagmar I disagree with you.. I prefer Banjo Kazooie over Tooie... the levels, the music, characters and gameplay are better for me... the only thing better in my opinion on Tooie are the new movements.. but still being a great game.
I wish you could have added weldars theme or mr. patchy's theme or some boss theme cause I thought those where the best. Other then that its pretty good FOR Banjo Tooie. I didnt like the soundtrack much.
#10 is comically depressing. makes no sense i know. its like its depressing, but in such a cartoony and over-dramatic way its funny. probably my two favorite world music was cloud cuckoo land (just because of the plain wierdness and originality) and mayahem temple. hailfire peaks was also a good one. i despise glitter gulch mine, both the music and the level itself.
I prefer a game with a story that grabs you, with fewer characters but better, no minigames or bosses (actually I do not care), without multiplayer, the music isn´t better in banjo-tooie (neither worse) and graphics can be improved, but do you really notice it?
I guess my extremely negative opinion of this game colors my feelings, but I really only liked the Mayahem Temple song (also the only level I really liked). I felt Banjo Kazooie had a far superior soundtrack.
very nice choice dude! I love this game so much... i think everybody agrees that nuts and bolt sucks but banjo kazooie and tooie will always stay in my mind =( since rareware was bought my microsoft, they'v only made shit =-=
In my opinion, I consider Banjo Tooie as the best game in the series
Grizzly Magnum I like the original better but banjo tooie is a great game I just don't like all the backtracking also it it made a water level fun so props there
well in mi opinion banjo tooie & banjo kazooie are the best games ever :)
l think that this top 10 is the fairest l've heard
WTF ARE YOU DUMB? THE BEST GAME IS OBVIOUSLY NUTS AND BOLTS!!! GREAT HISTORY, COOL CHARACTERS AND IT'S A RACING GAME!!!
I agree!!! I love the fact the worlds intertwine, made it feel kind of like Metroid a bit. Kazooie was streamlined which was fine, but it was just so much more fleshed out and in depth in Tooie.
I like Banjo Kazooie's music better, but in my opinion Banjo Tooie is an overall better game.
Linkfan99 i rather play banjo tooie than gta v or halo or cod its just to classic to beat
Linktothe_Awesome Banjo tooie is cerebral, great. Better than Kazooie for me too.
Banjo tooie tambien tiene buenos soundtracks mas q el de kazooie
I have kind of the opposite opinion but both are super awesome and both have amazing songs. Scariest song in either game though is the deep underwater part of Clanker's Cavern.
Klungo: minion with a drinking problem.
Banjo-Tooie and Donkey Kong 64 has some of the best OST I’ve ever heard.
x2
Yes, respect for Grunty Industries exterior! I like it so much more than the interior, which unfortunately is what you hear for the vast majority of the level. I love the instrumentation of the exterior so much, it's Grant Kirkhope crushing it.
You did not mention Atlantis and Jinjo Village. These are the most beautiful themes of all the N64 games.
Atlantis sucks dude
+SaltyDan TheGravityfallsman That's Grant Kirkhope's personal favorite theme in Banjo-Tooie, just that you know...
The Best
When did he say this. Im interested because I thought i did all my research on him
You drunk? Its the best in the game, and possibly a top 10 nintendo song of all time
Thank you for all the music you have provided over the years. It really makes an awesome day listening to all this!
Sobre todo tiene un buen top con las mejores canciones
My favorite track is Witchy World too!
Freezeezy Peak, Gobi Valley and Click Clock Wood are my favourites. I never finished Tooie so I don't know half of the songs from it
Sakura Akuma those are from banjo kazooie not tooie you are possibly mistaken.
Isaac Jewell I meant that these were my favourite songs from either game
Sakura Akuma oh well in that case I was partly correct for saying I might be mistaken
oh my GOD this game had great music
Yes
I love how you add pics of levels the songs are in. Helps me reminisce. :)
This is so nostalgic!
In my opinion Banjo Tooie is better than the first for 4 reason:
1. There are Boss (in the first there weren't any except the box in rusty bucket bay and the final boss Grunilda).
2.There is the multiplayer.
3.There are more characters (and in my opinion better than Banjo Kazooie).
4. It has a better graphic (not much but it's however better).
yeah, I like how you can play as Mumbo in this game....it opens up sooooo much more possibilities that the creators took full advantage of.
And you can roll faster 😂
And music
And worlds
And dificulty
10. Kind of depressing...
9. Not bad.
8. OK.
7. Tally-ho!
6. Hm.
5. Oh yes.
4. I hear bits of Weldar's theme.
3. Creepy.
2. Nice remix of Angry Aztec from DK 64 xD
1. Cool.
I'm kind of surprised there are no boss themes oO
My favorite is the Cloud Cuckoo Land theme.
Man this game brings back memories. I got my first copy when I was four and I still have the box after all these years.
x2
Excuse me, but where is the Hag 1 theme?
It deserves to be mentioned in the runner-ups, at least.
I just want to know the song during the intro. I was jamming to that!
Grunty Industries
exactly
Great selection of songs you have :) I think all the ones you chose are great too
Rare did good work on the games. But the man you have to thank for the music is Grant Kirkhope. Just Incredible.
old memories..... i need to start playing some n64 games again.
I think UNDERWATER JOLLY IS THE BEST THING EVER ♥
Do you think its weird that in the first game, nobody ever died. EVER. even if you lost (this applies to the enemies since i guess they are being knocked out). Then in Banjo Tooie. When you lose every1 in the island lost their life and also in the boss battle when u lose you technically die. I wonder why Rare wanted it to be more dark, dreadful, and fatal.

Kazooie Kid Look at this. What do you think?
That's because you've seen the Top 10 Banjo Kazooie songs list video before.
yes of course it's beautiful isn't it
I think the reason I liked Tooie much more than the first one is because the levels are expanded more over a huge Over World. Kazooie's levels are confined in this one Lair. Even though I could get turned around in Grunty's lair sometimes. My 2 favorite tracks of both games of all time are The Hag 1 final boss music from Tooie, and Grunty's lair theme from the first.

Thats a Personal Opinion but for me its gotta be tooie
YESSSS!!!!! YOu have Lava side of Hailfire peaks as your number one!!!!!!! :D :D Bless you!!!! haha
my favorite track was Atlantis.
Miss the old game in days.
My cousins and I get stucked in Grunty Industries so we couldn't finish the game, I still love it
i enjoy the tooie songs a lot more
Then you prefer a short game without minigame and bosses (except the final boss and the box),without multiplayer, with less characters, with worse graphic and music?
I personally think that banjo kazooie had the better music. It's been a while and I don't remember what the levels were called, but the best ones were the first level and second level. They're all amazing but those are my personal favorite
yes BK has better music then BT
Designing video game music must be so difficult. You have to make music that is good but doesn't get dull after hearing it for hours in end
This is just my opinion but I think Kulngo should be much higher than just 9.
Lower excuse me.
Michael rogers Or err... better rank.. XD
My number 1 has to be glitter gulch mine. The theme just fits the level so perfectly and better than any other world themes, only thing i dislike was glitter gulch is the second world so it come and goes so fast...
Once again, didn't agree with you about a lot of them, but number one is spot on.
Your intro is way too long imo. Otherwise great video. :)
In my opinion, it’d have to be a tough choice between Jolly Roger Lagoon and Hailfire Peaks
I know right and jolly ranger more higher, and soem boss theme are very good but he only added klungo one
I think this had better music
Wait. What... no old king coal boss fight : /
Fuel Depot Connection to Witchyworld. My favorite #1 Banjo Tooie song!
I think rare makes the most creative games, mostly because cloud cuckoo land has a view of the entire map :)
I live there too :P
If i was Banjo, i'd rather go somewhere else than participate in the Tower of Tragedy quiz.
Fortunately, I'm not Banjo. Hurray! Although I'm a coward.
You forgot Jinjo village.
So suprised Atlantis didnt show up AKA Underwater Jolly
@Klagmar I can see why you prefer Tooie to the original, the levels are more diverse, and its a huge game. However, i think i myself am a complete sucker for originality, give me Banjo Kazooie over Tooie, give me Goldeneye over Perfect Dark. I played the original Banjo first, which helps. No HAG-1?
Tooie better
disappointed to not see Atlantis and/or Cloud Cuckooland. And I prefer the interior of Grunty Ind. But great list and its your opinion. Amazing game
12:33 mi favorita
@Klagmar I disagree with you.. I prefer Banjo Kazooie over Tooie... the levels, the music, characters and gameplay are better for me... the only thing better in my opinion on Tooie are the new movements.. but still being a great game.
Jolly Rogers lagoon #1 i'm telling u man that song is the best (glitter gultch mine #2)
kazooie for music and nostalgia and tooie for better game
i like the intro
Tooie is better
I wish you could have added weldars theme or mr. patchy's theme or some boss theme cause I thought those where the best. Other then that its pretty good FOR Banjo Tooie. I didnt like the soundtrack much.

Throne of the Zombie King should of been on here.
Grunty industries is my fav
my favourite game
I'd actually reverse that statement
Needs more click clock wood
This video was made for the 2nd game, Click Clock a Wood was in the first
TheRobloxian09 NEEDS MORE CLICK CLOCK WOOD
tooie is better infinite
En mi opinion que nadie pidio
1. Mr. patch
2. Grunty industries inside
3. Cloud Cuckooland
I guess my extremely negative opinion of this game colors my feelings, but I really only liked the Mayahem Temple song (also the only level I really liked). I felt Banjo Kazooie had a far superior soundtrack.
my top:
10* Glitter Gulch Mine
9* Jinjo Village
8* Jolly Roger's Lagoon (spite the homosexuality of Jolly)
7* Klungo (sounds like Clanker's Cavern)
6* Mr Patch
5* Grunty Industries
4* Hailfire Peaks
3* Atlantis
2* Cloud Cuckooland (very banjo kazooie)
1* Hag-1 (far darker n' epic than Gruntilda Battle, this sounds more like Gruntilda War)
Probably Tooie in my opinion.
I don't think the intro is nessassary
That pun and profile picture... Lol
+NDRJ05H Gaming lol
i love Grant Kirkhope
I. Have. The. Trial. Game
I also like hilifire peaks best
I love you.
tooie is better
very nice choice dude! I love this game so much... i think everybody agrees that nuts and bolt sucks but banjo kazooie and tooie will always stay in my mind =( since rareware was bought my microsoft, they'v only made shit =-=
+SPACE the space cake yooka laylee thought that's gonna be sick
Nah. Tooie's my fav game and I think DK64 is unnecessarily long and tedious.
good soundtrack, though
Miss the old game in days.
