1977 Maico MC440aw restoration day 12 HPI ignition installation

Happy 2022 to you all! 1st day back on to it today and am keen to make faster progress with this #maico #mc440 #mc440aw #restorationproject anyway todays little task is the installation of a new #hpi #electronicignition system let’s hope we have less problems moving forward with this now and we can get a clear run at it!

Feel free that’s what it’s all about! I don’t profess to be the best restorer in the world just hoping to provide some insight and probably show people some of the pitfalls I’ve fallen into!!

The most accurate way is to use a dial gauge, also when you place flywheel on taper knock it on with socket, then it dosnt move.
