Internal Bearing removal with.... Bread!
Well today hasn't been going so well. I've a couple of small internal or #blind #bearings to remove for this 94 #kawasaki #kx250 #motorbuild and my #bearingpuller is #knackered
So what now?
Well I've never tried it before but I'm going to try the #bread - yes BREAD method of bearing removal!
Bear with me I'm not going totally mental! It actually works - it works a treat!

Here we Have a beautiful 1990 #Honda #cr250 i think the 1990 CR's had amazing classic styling and look amazing. Honda had also got the upside down forks to work well! This bike does need a few jobs doing to make it rideable but that's why it's #forsale for the price it is at! If the jobs were done it would be a lot more #money Anyway take a look at this lovely looking and sounding #2stroke #sup...

Had to keep watching to see if was true! Never seen that.
Honestly it's true! I had thought it was rubbish but a great trick i will definitely use it in the future!
Doh!
Ha ha I was gutted when the puller broke but the toastie loaf came to the rescue!!!
@phoenixmotos9712 Seriously though, would plasticine or blu-tac work too?
I reckon they would yes
Great insight!
very nice...that's wild! I thought it was a joke! I enjoy your bike reviews and videos!!
Thanks so much! Yeah I had serious doubts but it is a real winner!

Would you have any engine parts?
How much for a new frame I hear it comes without numbers?
I'd repair it

I had one back in the day, great bike, but I think this is the year Honda started losing the plot by painting the frame white, and the almost orange plastic. The older Hondas looked much better, deep red plastic and frame
😊 happy new year buddy and family 😊🎉🎉🎉🎉 great like bike old is gold 😊
Happy 2025 Chris Hope you are well buddy? Gonna be a good year for some amazing bikes!!
Is that the Elsinore 125/250 . I had the green tank 1973 model as a kid. Awesome bike that never once broke down. I still love my long gone cr125 elsinore.🏍️
It is a 1980 125 elsinore yes with the red engine twinshock bike last of the air cooled!
I had a green tank 73 too - wish I still had it
I have loved the look of these frames since around 1972. I always will. Hi from Brisbane Australia 🦘🌏
Hi From Preston UK! They are a really beautiful looking bike and being honda they are built great too!!
Is that stock?
Stock apart from K&N filter and the pipe! Sounds awesome doesn't it - it has a lift kit and wheels but guess you are talking about the noise!!
Your truck sounds great!
It's so cool man!
Sounds okay
It sounds super crisp mate
Love hearing the sound of a 2 stroke cold start. Cleaning it out was the best part of warming it up
It was already warm to be fair so clearing it out was no risk - it seems to be jetted a bit rich
I enjoyed your videos on both the 1986 and now 1987 Honda TLR200 Reflex bikes. I have been a 1986 reflex owner for a few months although I stupidly talked myself out of buying a new on in 1986. Great bikes. You mentioned how someone had mounted an "enduro fuel water bottle" on the handlebar cross bar. I really like the design of that little bottle but searching in the internet shows nothing of that same design. Wish I could make out the label on the top of the bottle seen at the end of your ride on the road. I will keep looking. Keep up the great work. Take care. Jim Molloy
Thanks mate
I don't have that bike any more I'm afraid - try preston petty!
Do you ship to the states ?

Acabo de restaurar esta misma moto aqui en españa. Amazing bike!!!
They are beautiful!
Wow the bike is a beast
Really is! It's going to be raced by it's owner in April at the Westmorland classic scramble if you want to see it in the flesh!
Brilliant ❤ very helpful, l was able with your help to service my 1940 original Aga, the oil feed pipes were clogged with carbon after l drilled them out, everything worked well very pleasing, result.
It's a very satisfying (and not that difficult) job! And aga cooking makes food taste great I think!
Where are the vin numbers on these? I have one and can’t find it on the steering neck to confirm what it is. It’s at least a 87 since it’s a disc rear
Yeah they are in the steering head - normally right hand side- if it's been powder coated it can cover the vin up
@ I will hit it with a wire wheel to see if it reveals it. It was stripped to be coated and never was so it’s rusty now

Hi, kannst du mir sagen was genau du für einen Vergaser mit welchem setting verbaut hast? Grüße Frank
Unfortunately I sold the bike
You're 180 out on that disc homie
Pretty sure from memory it will only go on 1 way
@phoenixmotos9712 rotor should be closed as piston comes down to shoot the charge up the transfers. If the valve was open as piston came down it would just push fresh charge out the carb. Yours is working backwards currently
@@aaronbright5028 ah OK- so when the piston is at the top the crankcase is a vacuum so the valve opens at the point when the piston is at the top. This way the most fuel and air is drawn in. Then the valve closes and the piston travels down compressing the mixture in the crankcase. Then when the transfers open when the piston is near the bottom the charge which is compressed rushes to fill the cylinder which is now in a state of low pressure. Does that make sense? The valve has to open when the piston is at the top rather than the bottom - if it opened at the bottom it wouldn't work.
@@phoenixmotos9712 valve opens at bdc and closes right before tdc so on its way down it can blow the charge into cylinder. On the way back up it reopens and then closes again to return down. Your video has it backwards
Cable goes into the Valving of the rear shock and it goes to the brake pedal so when your riding fast into a corner and you hit the brake pedal it pulls the cable and it actually stiffens the dampening inside the shock
That's right yes
hey i do you sell parts on ebay?
Not really parts but what you after and where are you??
Looks like a 1981 cr250r only f up !
Not sure about that-

Yes mate

We need to bottle two-stroke smoke and sniff it for inspiration!!

@phoenixmotos9712 lol
Sounds so good
Sounds amazing doesn't it!!!
What year is that piston from I really need to know bc I have a cr60 that I think that I need a Top end and the gasket please
The KX65 piston is the same from 2000 onwards but also the Base gasket you have to make with a thicker material as the 65 piston is slightly taller
@ thank you sir
@MatthewOrtega-u6z hope that helps buddy
Huuuu, I remember that CR250 Elsinore with mugen Kit.. My God, stradivarius sound , only bike i remember goin up hill goin 3 4 5 up, when the others brands were 5 4 3 at same hill and time .....Marvelous
Wish I had amugen kit for my rocket!!!
My favorite bike. Very versatile bike can ride off-road then go ride ponca city mx on my 79 yz250
Really great bikes!!
I can’t wait to start my bike I’m about to go put coolant and oil in it to get my break in period
Ho do it and post a video
@ I’m waiting on radiator hoses now , I will though ho 😂
Dude, my dad took me for a ride on his when I was younger. That thing vibrated so much. It made my nuts numb.
Ha ha ha
Wow that is a great collectors item!! Kent Howeton’s weapon of choice!!!
Yeah it's so original it's unbelievable!!
i did a hpi for my 1980 pe175. i found the timing markings on the stator a bit confusing. A zoom in showing the markings used to time it would be helpful. My concern for other bikes with large fly wheels if I would loose low end chugging. On my Can am which has a 4 lb flywheel the HPI seems smaller weight wise.
I'm going to be doing a new installation video - the hpi definitely has a lighter flywheel than a lot of stock ignitions it generally has a faster spin up and more top end. You're right the bottom end will suffer
I often have difficulty relighting the AGA. It fires up fine, but burns out after 30 minutes or so. It sometimes seem to take several relights , hours or days apart before it catches. Any tips? Thx!
That sounds like it could be an oil supply problem- can you get your supply lines checked?
@@phoenixmotos9712 Thanks for the reply. Spent the morning testing things. Yes, it was a supply issue. I adjusted the cistern height (couldn't figure out how to adjust the float) - I'm now getting 4ml p/min at low, but only 5.5 ml p/min on high. The AGA is on now (cold snap). I've adjusted the screw by the controller as far as it can go.
At least it's on but only 5ml/min is too low it should be more like 10 on high. I would say more investigation needed to improve the flow
You shouldntbe making these vids….you have mafe airroutes directly thru the gaps in the wick you slopped in…they have to join/overlap and not be in line with each other to prevent air rushing thru….yellow flame and smoke and fuel wasting will follow
That sounds so good
Yeah really really good
Had a 490 years ago, would love one of these now ❤️
