    How did you modify the red backing plate to fit?

      I basically drilled out the slot for the bolts so I made a greater diameter for the bolts to go through - do you have same problem as I had?

      @phoenixmotos9712 Yes it seems so. Did you have to open up the slots? Widen them? Grind on the actual case?

    Do they have that kit for Motoplat CDI on old European bikes ?
    I never knew CR had points that late ?

      Yeah they do have kits for euro bikes too. Just need to check specific models. You I was a bit surprised about the points that late too though I knew they were points in 74… I suspect they were points until the red rocket in 78..

    You seriously need the stator in place before you do that , you also have to LAP the rotor to the crank stub,

      Hi - I’d lined it to the right are and then just needed to get the exact position right. Regards lapping it - I’ve done hundred of these and never had 1 slip & never lapped them
