This shows what it can do with real tires installed, not the factory tires that most videos use and show it cannot do much. What I suspected. Thank you for filming this!
While it is no Rubicon, the CX-5 surprised me with what you had it going through. I know cameras tend to flatten out hills, so I'm guessing some of that was a lot steeper than it looked. That thing hardly spun a wheel. I was impressed enough that I just bought one. I'll never put it through that difficult of terrain so it should fill my needs very well.
I live in Virginia right next to where TN and VA come together--- i've been all over the Blue Ridge Parkway- and never seen any of this... where did you access this at?? I'm looking at a CX-50 meridian- and will probably put a 1.5 FACTORY lift on it... would be great for this.
First you start at the mile high campground, then one of the forest roads, then a blocked off road takes you to the thick overgrown part. Honestly would of probably got in trouble if a ranger was out there. We found out the road was closed due to a tree/land slide
Shold have had someone else along driving their vehicle too-- never "offroad" alone-- incase of breakdowns, accidents etc.. you have another person and another vehicle to help you correct issues.
@@alx-ares Ended up going slightly bigger yesterday to 245/55r19 and they fit perfect. No rubbing at all could have possibly gone a little bigger. Just trying to help in case you're trying to go bigger. Stocks were 225/55r19
We have roads like that around here--- except they're called DRIVEWAYS.. and some are much worse... I use to drive places like this a LOT - in my old 66 VW-- all stock. BUt that thing would climb and go better than any jeep..

Oh yeah, some of those were probably out of the Mazdas league but it handled it fine
Just like old times of trails trucks beer and fire pits that Mazda handles pretty well too you need a cooler for the drinks haha
I can’t wait to take my CX-5 on adventures. What year and trim is this Mazda, and what modes were you using?

Wow! That was brave of you guys to take that CX5 on that kind of road. Been looking for videos about CX 5 doing this. Did you guys had any problem?
The only problem was that we were to scared to actually damage my wife’s car so we didn’t send it harder :)
It’s actually an off-road beast. 7in of clearance is pretty good. And the AWD never let us down.
Let’s see the CX 5 go through a flood area
That's great!
Which year model this GT is? 2019?
GT reserve 2019

We like to risk the bisque ;)
What is the Pin for this place?
Sorry didn’t get the pin at the time but I can tell you where to start. Blue ridge parkway then start following random Forrest roads
Any opinion on if this trail would be manageable enough with FWD on this CX-5?
Wouldn’t try it
Is this a turbo model?
Yes
Do you think a mazda 6 FWD can handle this road?
😅 probably not
What size tires did you put on it? Did you do a lift?
Everything stock
OK, but the tire size?
What’s the tire size?

This is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
How come?
You did that with your wife's car?? Brave man. 😄

The Mazda proved to be incredibly capable, more than we expected
@@TNTINDUSTRIESLLC I'm thinking CX-50 with the 1.5 FACTORY lift-- and meridian...THANKS great to hear!!!
A street car with a low front air dam. My 2013 Forester eat every square inch of this video for lunch
But they look real ugly. Shame really.
So where is the off-road part?
Really?😅
@@TNTINDUSTRIESLLC :D
my saloon car can handle such without much effort
