Ask away in the comments if you have any questions. I left out some pointers but soon I’ll make a good video covering the finishes we use and how we use them. #handmade #woodworker #woodworking #carpentry #finishing Clean armor 757 @cleanarmor

Brilliant
Should have sold it for more honestly
Thanks for this video. Very informative. I don't own a festool sander but have used one. I was impressed with how quiet the vacuum is. Can you tell me if the Bosch is as quiet? Thank you.
Really cool pal. No crap about it.
and no the domino 500 cutters wont work on the 700. and vice versa unless you buy the adapter. if you want to make your own dominos or get cheaper festool style cutters for your 500/700 google "find buy tool"
I have the same Jet Edge sander its a Beaut Clark
May I ask what is the purpose of that? Just wondering if it helps with hiw the grain looks? Thank you
Can I use this on my vehicle headlights after polishing? I'm looking for UV protection so they don't deteriorate and get hazy too quickly.
Wish I had the smarts to come up with something like that
Okay. Let’s see what you cook! I’m here for it.
ffs I hate the format.. please make "ordinary" versions... I watch tech stuf on a big screen not a stupid phone. I would LOVE to see things like this in landscape and not "short" (time).. It's perfectly fine if you record it on your phone... but use landscape format :-)
I looked up the ingredients in Rubio Monocoat. It's mostly linseed oil with several types of waxes. THIS Armor crap was very difficult to find info. I found some. This is just a type of polyurathane. I am trying to get away from poly finishes. I make my own using tung oil and melt in beeswax for about $90 per gallon. This Clean Armor, just like Rubio Monocoat, is about $500 - $600 a gallon. Ripoff.
your goals clearly differ from those interested in this product. Tung oil's several week cure time may work for you, but it doesn't for many others. Just because you're incapable of conceiving how a finish CURING in mere minutes is $$$, doesn't mean others are.
@@ritzypatrick8577 That's crap, tung oil beeswax finish will cure in a few hours if applied with a heat gun. I've done it. And tung oil is not toxic like that UV polyurathane poison.
@@samadrid6321 you are absolutely not curing tung oil in a few hours. Dry is not cured. I do accept that you think it's cured, however.
I came across this video researching the Bosch sanders, but I noticed something and just have to ask. Is that a gator skin apron? Because that’s just freaking awesome!
On the inside of the bow or the outside?
I had the same problem. Very disappointed
I was very disappointed with their boots. I had two pairs the first one I bought and second pair was a replacement. They did not lasted long.
You should alter the hammer head so the cross peen would stretch out the steel.
You should use it for growing medium! You can easily fill garden beds with it, or inoculate and grow mushrooms in that hardwood!!
Sick stuff fr. But where the money at?
Which dust mask you guys using?

What color stain is that?
385 nm is a quite dangerous wavelength. I hope Clean Armor advises people to wear protective clothing, eye protection, and even sunscreen when using these lights. The potential increase to skin cancer rate from that wavelength of UV light is so extreme that even a single use of a tanning bed in a lifetime increases risks of skin cancer *significantly*.
I'm a dentist and all our resins used on human teeth are cured with blue visible light (never UV light). It is very safe. The dental field abandoned all UV cured products over 30 years ago. The visible spectrum lights we use to cure resins can cure to 4 mm in less than a minute. I believe CleanArmor could be reformulated using a safer non-UV method for curing.
Very nice
just don't buy a dewalt router! I've burned out two of them in a router table. it's like they aren't designed to be run upside down, it's weird. avoid dewalt
No surprise seeing how new and shiny the Bosch sanders were. I guess Christmas came early. You can’t trust any review anymore on YT.
A flywheel would improve the overall performance.
why would you sand in the same place you are spraying?
That’s all my space 🤷 no where else to go for now
Bro just did a speed run of wearing out his jointer head 😅
5:24 Brooklyn guy has a son?
Your work is always what you value it at. It looks good. Nice finish.
IS THAT EASTERN AROMATIC CEDAR!? 🤩🤩🤩
As a shipyard worker, i buy cheaper workboots then build up the toes with bootguard. My Origins are strictly for casual wear, lookn good. Out here all workboots astetics get destroyed in about 2 weeks
where can I buy in New zealand?
Sick
I've been reading all I can about this product and am keenly interested in using it. While it is stated we can get 3x the coverage vs conventional finish (e.g. polyurethane??), what I am more interested in is real-world results. Let's suppose I am finishing a 12"x12" board, 3/4" thick on both faces and all 4 edges. Using your spray gun, how many of those boards could I realistically expect to be able to cover with 1 gallon of CleanArmor 700?
Buy a small bottle and try it out. You won't get an answer on youtube.
You literally get out of woodworking what you put in, if you put in the effort and time, create things that are original and well made and you can put whatever price you want on those types of pieces and providing you have put time in to marketing your brand and the right type of people are seeing your work, then they will sell no matter what. Be original Make quality products Know your customers Know your limitations Build a brand….. Do the above and you won’t need to worry about money again.
Too expensive!!!
You’re too expensive!!!
Great job
do we get any sound effects with that darth vader mask?
Good job Kreg! lol j/k
Just purchased Makita 6050 750W. Lately, I have been spending my money on that very brand. It seems extremely good.
what's the shelf life of the product??
In my experience, over a year if you shake them. My shop stays around 75-80 degrees. Gloss lasts longer than matte
@@TNTINDUSTRIESLLC that's a bummer if your just doing a random finishing piece once a year or so. waste of money and product unless it's your job or something. thanks
I agree, those outsoles detach because there is no mechanical attachment. I've seen it happen on similar boots. Recently (July 2024) I saw on Origin's site that they were screwing the toe of the outsole to the leather--it was on a boot with the Vibram lugged outsole, not the Christys. The last thing I have to say is that you are incredibly abusive to your work boots. You are a hard worker though, and I don't want to insinuate that the failure of the Origin boots is your fault. The way I was trained was to clean and maintain boots after every day of use. It was mandatory duty because footwear was part of a regulated uniform. Your boots will last a lot longer if cared for on a frequent schedule--a very frequent schedule in your case. They last even longer if you can rotate their wear. I am guessing your friend's boots (Thorogood boots maybe?) would look close to new if maintained daily. None of that will help the outsole separation of the Origin boots--again, you're right. You knew that already, I bet. That looks like fun property. It's good to work on property like that. Thanks again for saving me about $320 to $350 on boots my friend! This type of user report from the field cannot be purchased anywhere.
Caught that machinery at 1:16. Sorry.
