Not 100% Happy with this video, life had a bit of fun kicking me around for the last few days so I was unable to work a little longer than expected, expect normal video upload times and regular campaign gameplay by the end of the week! Nothing majorly wrong or anything, just a lot of little issues messing up my time available! :)

Science class continues with Lathrix. He keeps up so many surprises with the introduction to his army of two smaller but all the more terrifying "ships", at least for the 'Flayers. The first of which is a basic missile submarine with quite a sting and granted the abilities to summon the previously designed nuclear drones. Just by the description of the craft, my imagination came up with a name for that very vehicle: the Necromancer... I have way too much time to kill. Anyway. The second craft on the drawing board of the Blood Guard is an unnamed hover, which begs the question: have the Lathrixians taken inspiration from the Scarlet Dawn? Who knows... It carries a decent gatling cannon and is on top of being tough a quick vessel. Overall, two fine additions to the Lathrixian army and they will probably be given attention in the shipyards of the Blood Guard.
How does these news impact the Watch? Honestly, not a lot. But I do see it as an occasion to wipe the evil off Neter. And if you don't get it, I of course mean the Twin Guard and the Steel Striders... Why am I talking to a diary like a person? My derpness often takes over my mind... Well anyway, such a decision to stand up to the "Entente" would be beneficial to everybody. And the Watch could very well use this technology in exchange of our sweet, sweet oil and iron. Though the cliché of "the men of the Watch have a constant fear of heights" does prove itself too real and might impede the use of the witchcraft that is hovering. Look at how many Eyries we currently possess... Just a detail I now noticed. We just have to wait what awaits.

Lathrix, you were worried about using only a 75mm AP advance cannon? I need to show you my 2000 rpm 54mm AP advance cannon that cut right through ANYTHING, excluding heavy armor, in this case you need more time than a single pass.
And it can fire even faster...

May I interest you in 348mm Railgun shots at 2500 meters person sec using Sabot Shells. They can pierce through 3 layers of Heavy or 6 layers of metal *or 15 wooden layers*
Oh, and those cannons take 15 sec to reload, and during that time, cruise missiles will be slamming into your armour and any plane you send will be decimated by 76mm Flak shots and 30mm Frag shots

Again, the suicide vehicles are just a more expensive missile even if it looks cool. Also make the submarine sandwich out of wood.
Well.... yeah, the drones are just filling the role of a nuclear missile, as nukes cannot be used on their own yet or attached to missiles in the game - If you want to have fun with them you need to make vehicle for them :)

I realized that there was another awfully outdated design in the game. The Steel Strider fortress known as the Forward Operating Base. If you do end up fighting it then I ask that you try cutting it out of your videos or just not focusing the camera on it for very long, and if those don't sound good then mention that we have it on the list for replacement.
Other news, devtest has progressed to another stage. I thought we would get a stable update once the 5.6 unity port happened, but the devs decided to tackle a few balance changes before sending to stable. There are balance/mechanics change issues with lasers and missiles right now that I'm hoping don't take too long to handle. Once those and a few other bits are fixed I'm hoping that we'll finally have another stable patch.
Well the SS are a bit away, but there's not long to slip a new Yggdrasil in :p

Of course not, it just clearly isn't up to standards. My most generous assessment of its age puts it at having been made in early 2015, possibly even 2014. The layout is far too simple and blocky to be presentable when compared to almost every other design we have.
Hopefully he wont get that far. But knowing lathrix, and his tendency to either 1: Draw out a series for a long time. Or 2: Quickly speed run through the campaign. it could end up either way. I do hope we get to see the new design, but i doubt he wont focus on it once he gets to it. If he does see this, which im sure he already has, im sure he will comment about it being outdated, and to be updated soon.
The Damascus's 2000mm quadruple is actually rather laggy for me. But then again, I guess that's just because my PC is more mid-end.

lathland how about adding some control blocks that turn on and of every idk 3 sec and increase the lift trust to 100% causing the tank to basicly bunny jump and thus avoidng alot of shells

That size was what most of the more common tanks by 1943 were using, examples such as the M4 Sherman, panzer IV, T-34 43 models or earlier

maybe in the next campaign or as a standalone series, you should make a massive ship like the capital ship you made maybe a year ago. huge guns, massive torpedos, a submarine bay, fun for the whole family!

They're Khornate civilians, though. While yes, Khorne cares not from whence the blood flows, only that it flows, that second clause still matters: if you're on his side and haven't murdered anyone in a given day, you're in trouble by the end.

Kentrum1 the problem is that they are quite overpowered because the AI has a lot of problems aiming at something in space, I think that's the main reason he hasn't really build anything like that

*@Lathland,* Can you put a shield projector on one of the turrets that your nuke drones use to ster to it's target?
If so, then you can use 1 shield and have it turn towards the nearest threat (assuming you can target missiles & bullets with it?), and you can put that shield turret on your other creations.

Lathland, you should build a a tactical nuke suicide drone in this campaign or a future campaign that will go under a target ship. The drone could have drills such that it will burrow its way into a ship and then explode, or you can simply have it explode one it touches the bottom of the ship. If you do make a drone like this, a good name for it would be "the Leech" or "Vampire" in the spirit of the blood god. Blood for the blood god!

I just saw your earlier hovercraft attempts. Man, you've gotten really good at them.
I would like to say though that the Bloodthirster is probably technically a hovercraft as well as it's essentially a super big PID craft. It doesn't act like a traditional flier, instead as a floating battleship.
Lathrix can you bring back Ark as there has been a new map added in the form of the Rangrok DLC? If not then you're still my favorite TH-camr since December 2015
its fine is you go back to basics, and its not bad if you lose units that are tiny. I play FTD with almost exclusively small built units..its pretty fun to take a 100 block craft and take on some massive beast like a shadow of colossus situation
its never uncommon for me to outnumber the enemy 5 to 1
Here is something a tiny bit different, a minigun-like railgun. Perhaps 3 or 4 guns on a spinblock with stagger fire?
You could make a laser, missile and Cram cannon hover tank just to add variety to The Grunts of your fleet, just a suggestion ;)
Graviton ram rounds work well with slow firing guns, best used to keep an enemy from getting weapons on you when it comes to ships with cannons... ( never try them with a rail gun, the phrase " team rocket blasting off again" applies in said situation)

Might I suggest you keep one tank or just add a tiny secondary gun on the tanks with a Disruptor EMP APS? That should help with sheilds and keep you off Frags for a little while longer.
I started this game just this week because of your videos, its been slow learning with the updates throwing me off, and trying to understand how the games engine interacts(i somehow made a battleship shell that displaces all water at its rear, and thus is incapable of prop-based thrust... their might be a trick or two one could do with that), but just today i finally got PIDs to work as intended and made a nasty sub(at least against marauders). Bigger and better they come and as the muse sings, i make more and more different models, hopefully, i'll one day understand it enough that i can start working on cosmetic designs as well.

New mode for FTD
Campaign Reclamation
Lath beat the Neter campaign and set up defenses, try to uncapture as many tiles as possible
Put the side spikes of the blood parasite on spinblocks so they don't contribute to drag
Replace the turret of the tank with a cram cannon. This way you can spawn a lot of cannons even if they are not accurate you'll have a lot of them, one will hit... probably...

Use am mix of HE with Flak And loose fragment. Then it'd prolly work well on weak things, and weaken the armor of strong things, so that your bigger ships can punch through.

Lathrix, you need to build a khornified center creation from season 3. You made it in the sandbox mode, but it was never but in the campaign
Lathrix... could do a tutorial series on basic ship building, advanced cannons, cram cannons and so on. (just bought the game would like learn how to make real effective guns and things ^-^)

Graviton rams would work great when set to only fire at melee ships that get too close.
