When Wilcox fumbled notice how many teammates consoled him and picked up their brother. Sign of a good team, no matter the stakes or the moment. I was impressed by this at the time it happened (and I'm a Gator).
It was an honor to be a student during the wacky three years that saw UCF go from winless to undefeated. Frost and Milton were two monster additions to the team. They went on to beat Memphis, and then Auburn in the Peach Bowl for a perfect season.
looking back on this game in 2020, really proves how epic the ucf story was in 2017. This game was one of the most exciting games I had seen at the time, and is still one of the best games I have seen.

This is why they NEED to make a 16 team playoffs. If they have a 16 team playoffs then teams like UCF can get in at a low seed just so you can give them a chance. Having a 16 team playoff would also make it easier to actually put the best four teams in the nation in the playoffs, there hasn't been a year yet where the playoff committee has put in the best four teams. They need to give teams a chance with a 16 team playoff
How about an 8 team playoff, with the champion of each power 5 conference, 2 at large teams (two highest ranked non champion teams from any conference) and 1 non power 5 conference champion.

I was at this game cheering for my team UCF. This was an amazing game. I think UCF and USF fans both left the stadium feeling like they were going to throw up after all the exciting play by both teams and nail biting drama in this game. In the last few minutes especially the crowd was losing their minds. This game was insane. In the end I think everyone probably felt that it was almost too bad that either team had to lose. Both teams gave everything they had and left it all on the field. Both teams were determined. Both teams were talented. What a wild and wonderfully terrifying and exhilarating game this was. So, glad we were there to experience it. In the final minutes the crowd was literally bouncing off each other and completely losing our minds. What a great game this was.
