Honestly, whatever you want it to be. I don't think films, and short films especially, have to be totally understood. Understand it in the way you feel it and so on - in class I got many different emotional responses and different reactions as to what people thought it was about, from suicidal thoughts to breaking up with a partner to the joy and calming effect of nature. a big part of the film is the girl that appears in three shots in the dream sequence, but is then unattainable as the camera cuts away. She is the same girl at the end. Take this as you will and again, it is more about the feeling and emotion than "getting it", I believe. thanks for watching!
