Hey dude, your story is really inspiring, I'm going to the doctors in the morning to speak to them and to try and understand how much my dyspraxia is affecting me and to see if there is any support I may be able to get. I was diagnosed at a very young age but it was sort of forgotten whilst I was growing up now at the age of 21 I feel as though it may have affected me more than I realised and still does, anyways thanks for taking the time to talk about your story and experiences with living with dyspraxia it really helps people such as myself that don't really have a good understanding of it but live with the condition!
Thanks very much Sam. I hope it all went well at the doctors the other day. I am glad my video was relatable to you. I hope you have a good Christmas too. All the very best.
brilliant video. I definitely empathise with so many aspects of what you said. I'm finding it tricky to maintain optimism at the moment towards myself and my future but I find seeing people like your self who candidly admit that dyspraxia has it's hardships but also maintaining such a good spirit towards life so so helpful! Thank you :)
Hey thank you for your video :) I was also diagnosed through university so wasn't aware in my childhood, instead of getting learning support I developed coping mechanisms which lead to an anxiety disorder. Congrats on your 1st also. Just seeing proof of people my age with the same disability always makes me feel better
Thank you for this video! I have dyspraxia and dyscalculia and have many of the same symptoms as you. It was really inspiring knowing that someone who struggled with English, just like I do with maths and science, could go on and do so well at uni like you did. I'm doing GCSEs at the moment, and I didn't think I could ever pass maths, but watching this video, i now think that maybe I could!
Aww thank you Maddy, I am glad my experiences with Dyspraxia have inspired you. I wish you the best for your GCSEs, believe in yourself. I wish you all the success for the future too.
I have to say, thank you. I can relate entirely with everything you have said. It has helped greatly as I know that many has the same issues and this same type of history. I would say however that I am glad I have Despraxia as It has made me who I am today, your video reminded me of that. So thank you very much.
Thank you very much, I am glad you found my experiences relatable. Dyspraxia does shape us as individuals and I would like to think for the better too. The condition makes us determined, creative and empathetic people. All the best to you.
I experience the same difficulty regarding one to one social interaction. But I have no problem if the social interaction consists of at least 4 persons(including me).

Thank you for your kind words Gillian. I am sorry to hear of your tough times, but glad you also received some support during your time at school as well. All the best for the future.
I did a word processing exam in college. my late dad had to go back to my secondary school and get a letter from my remedial teacher. I read the letter and discovered that they knew I had what they described as global motor Dyspraxia. I hit the roof. other kids in school got educational support and I did not. but they knew very little about it in Ireland. I was diagnosed with dyscalculia when I was a child. I received no support in primary school and none after 4th year in secondary school. I had to get an exemption. in the 1990s there was no disability support in the third level. in Ireland. but received a whole bunch of certs. my barrier to getting a job is dyscalculia. no employer will hire someone with a numeracy issue. disclosure Is a big issue.
I was bullied in primary school I got locked in a bathroom I found English aswell I did well my Leaving Certificate though I wish I did History instead of Biology for my Learning cert I was bullied in Secondary in 3rd yeah I was called a lesbian I not into girls only boys

Some of the things you describe does seem to relate to ASD, as they both overlap.
Although they are two different hidden disabilities, they do share some similarities. Thanks for commenting. I hope you have a great Christmas.
Do yourself a favour, don't go to Wales; land of nightmares and misery.
