a relationship will not save you

  • Here’s the disclaimers :)
One: relationships can be incredibly healing, nourishing and worthwhile. What I mean is that until you can meet yourself with love and acceptance, there will always be a feeling of “not enough” - and you are the one who can answer that call in your heart. You are the person you’ve been looking for.
Two: my opinions/messages shared are always out of my own current understanding. I am never upholding my views as the absolute truth - we are growing and changing together, in every moment. And that’s okay :)
Three: the idea of healing yourself can feel incredibly overwhelming. but it can be as simple as looking at yourself in the mirror and asking, “how can I love you today?”. Listening and taking action on the little things is what will form the whole picture.
I love you! Happy Sunday 🌸

WWOOFING is such a cool idea. Seems like such a good way to learn about another culture, about how to live sustainably, and travel the world on a super low budget. Or even working at a National Park like Yellowstone, Yosemite, or Shenandoah Valley. When I was in Tennessee I visited Douglas Dam which was part of the Tennessee Valley Authority project used to revive our country and increase work opportunities. Imagine working on the Appalachian Trail? I’ve dreamed of traveling the U.S. by road in a camper state to state to state just to experience change and meeting different people.

This resounded with me as I’m 18 months past a long term relationship.. 12 years … trying to figure it all out and be patient 🙏🏼
    Thank you ❤️

This talk was very enlightening. “All I want is to be free” and to have peace. And your logical thoughts on how a relationship won’t save you is helpful. We have to be good with ourselves first. You have some very deep thoughts. Your words are very golden! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Thank you so much for sharing how you resonated with this 🩵 relationships can be incredibly important and challenging in so many ways but yes, I think that’s always the root - being in tune with yourself and what truly gives You peace - comes from your inner self 🤗 have a beautiful day

@@SophiaJosephine relationships is a privilege and blessing, just as children are. No one ever belongs to anyone else, we just share our time with others. Sometimes we don’t get what we want, but we get what we need and must learn to be content even if our desire is not met

I like how you want to travel and do your own thing. There is one thing in life I know for sure: economics drives activities. You need money to do anything, even just to exist.

Very true. Working to find a balance now in my life…of supporting myself from genuine flow rather than a mindset of needing more. It’s a difficult thing to find in a world that pushes so much consumption :) let me know if you have any more thoughts on it.

@@SophiaJosephine hi Sophia, I always have thoughts on money. I finally figured out how money works, and I think with industriousness, and patience, and making your money grow above inflation, you can make money in a sustainable way. Well, first you amass a bunch of money just via sheer work, then you put those monies in 5.+ CDs or S&P 500 index funds (I like CDs right now because they are no risk). So from your income, put into your investment fund 20% of your paycheck, and just keep this up as long as you can. Eventually your pile of money will grow and earn 5% a year and you will make enough to live off the interest! This method does take time and work but you will eventually have a sustainable income, and try not to buy new cars (good used cars are good) and the purchase of a home can be good but I don’t know anyone who can afford a new home these days.
