- $5000 MOBILE HOME RENOVATION - PAINTING STAINLESS STEEL SINK! . I didn't feel the stainless steel sink quite fit with my mobile home bathroom renovations. Considering I had a white tub and white toilet. So I thought I would give Rustoleum's Appliance Epoxy Paint a try. This was the only color I could find at the time so I thought I would give it a try. I think the results speak for themselves. I also pick up a $10 faucet from Walmart and finish my Laminate flooring.

I'm watching this at 12:15 am. I must really be into your channel. Good job!
LOL thanks Jay Cee!
One more thing done. Progress made. Keep setting ur goals and keep moving forward. Look how far u have come. The sink is so much better white. Very good choice.
I have never seen stainless steel painted, it turned out well
Yeah I've used it on an old Art Deco Medican Cabinet I restored. Held up great! Bathroom is looking nice. I'm also gonna use that same type of flooring in my hall. Carry On! ...Newk from Kentucky
Hi Marty, sink looks good. How is it holding up after a few months? Asking cause would want to try it on a kitchen sink.
Thanks for sharing this.
Have you tried it yet?
Hi no I didn’t. Let me know if you do.
Wow ! bathroom is looking really cool marty! 💯👏😍
The sink looks good it's coming along great. Jamie's looks relaxed
She's a hot mess
Wow, that looks awesome! 😀👍🏻
Wow I love it
Great job. There paint product are great
Update I’m trying this my sink pls
Awesome
Love it
That looks great. Just a thought, if you do end up bolting down the corners,,, leave the metal finish on them rather than paint em. It will add to the rustic look and, match the finish on the faucet and, drain hardware.
I like the countertop.
Rustoleum spray is good stuff !
I spray paint everything and I agree It’s the best brand.
Hello do you have a review on how it held up ? A contractor told me it was impossible but I really want to paint my sink.
Do you have an update video on how the sink color held up ?
Yeah, I'm impressed too. I wouldn't have thought to pain a stainless sink. But what a great look. You've done an incredible job of your beautiful home. Very happy for you! I may have missed a video, so what are you going to do with the counter there?
Any update on durability?
Great job. It looks like it was ment to be
This is really cool! I love Rustoleum products, but I didn't know you could do this! Thanks for posting this!
Um no u can’t I’ve tried same product and it scratches right off , and other paint . It does not stay or adhere to primer or paint
If you haven't already finished the countertop, Rustoleum makes a "Stone Creations" line of spray paint. Maybe a "granite" countertop to go with your new white sink. Just a thought.
How does the paint hold up to use after using that spray paint?
I’d use a primer then this paint. Then let it cure or dry for at least a week or a month. Whatever you can do. The longer it dries without use the better!
@@mermaiddiyartist8119 what primer you used
@@shaunehemphill3259 you can use rustoleum automotive primer (spray can)
Hi want to paint my kitchen sink gold can you tell me what should i do or what kind of paint i can I use
You could stain or paint the vanity top real pretty..then cute and place piece of glass over to fit..
Do you think this would hold up in a kitchen sink? Just wondering... thanks! Oh and dollar store has flat rubber stoppers it would work for ya
There are clips that will keep that down from underneath.
Is the smell bad? I need to paint my double sink in the basement which has limited windows. It is so big too and taking it out is not an option.
Zero F's were given by the dog 😂
The sink looks great, but I don't think I would put screws though it, just glue it down.
Can’t believe how well that came out mate, looks like a proper enamel sink...good job mate!..atb, Mark
No it doesn’t work !!! I’m so frustrated with these utube dyi projects, I’ve use it on my sink and it scratches right off .
Sink looks great.
Great choice on the white! We had an ivory one with all white everything and I did the same thing- it makes a difference!
MDC- Nice job!
Can you please tell me approximately how long it took to dry?!
I have a tenant and I aim to paint the sink but I need to know approximately how long this dude needs to stay away from the sink.
Thanks,
Allan
The sink looks GREAT! I have missed your video's, was glad to see a couple this morning! Stay safe and warm, and always love seeing your Dog as well. :::::waving from Texas:::::
Silicone bead underneath will help seal it and make it flatter.
The sink turned out great! I like that you think outside the box .
How is this holding up?
What brand of spray paint is it?
How's the quality holding up? Does it stain or fade?
How is this holding up after 3 years?
Well that sink came out nice, love it💙👍😆...
Some that lived here before me decided they would paint the kitchen sink. Everyday I use it I curse their existence.
That's so funny. Maybe you could repaint it with this Rustoleum Epoxy and see how it works for you.
😍😍😍
Is the bathroom floor vinyl planks ? The reason I asked is laminate in the bathroom unless it’s waterproof, will be a problem if it gets wet..
Yes it is vinyl laminate planks
Marty's Damn Channel ..I figured it probably was.. thanks for the information on the appliance paint..
Does rustoleum need a protective coating
No but if I was to do it again...I'd go about it differently
How has it held up today?
Not too good about 14 weeks later it started to peel but I think if I would have used a self-etching primer beforehand it would have been okay. Now it did stain a little bit for me having extremely greasy hands a lot of days from working on stuff.
Doesn't it get scratched when you drop spoons and dishes?
Eventually it does but I didn't prepare the metal at all. I think some primer before hand would have helped alot
@@MDC2020 Thanks for the reply mate
bro. you could have gotten a better faucet sicne you were at the hardware store hehe
but that looks clean. does it last? let's say it's a kitchen sink, with consent silverware?
Aren’t there clamps available that are mounted untethered sink...... love the channel.
I thought if you painted your sink to match, you'd paint the faucet to match or not be silver colored. A color like brown (bronze) or a color to match something else in the room.
I have a stopper, never use it.
This paint scratches right off !! It doesn’t work I’ve bought the same and this is so frustrating to watch !!!!!
This did not work I bought the same paint your using and the paint scratched right off . So I’m so frustrated with this how to videos and doesn’t work . I m trying desperately to paint my sink black and not pay for new sink that cost over 200$
you should have painted the accessories to match ,
Burn the wood and use polyurethane.
That's different I'll look into it.
@@MDC2020 it's called so sugi ban. It's a Japaneese thing.
Yep, I know of it. I dated a Japanese girl about 10 years ago and her dad was a traditional Japanese wood worker.
