Most Rustoleum paints and primers can be recoated ONLY within 1 hour or after 24 hours (some 48 hours). If you don't follow this rule, the second coat will cause the first coat to pull away -- DISASTER. When Rustoleum says that you can recoat within an hour, they really mean that you should FINISH recoating before the hour is up. It's unlikely that you complied with this rule (which is hard to do under any circumstances) because you spent time trying to smooth the first coat before applying the second. Also, trying to remove tiny bubbles with a hair dryer may have shortened your working time window even more. I learned this this rule the hard way myself. Now I NEVER attempt to recoat any Rustoleum paint product until after waiting the full 24 (or 48) hours. Even if it's a small project, you never know if your phone will ring or some other little thing will cause you to miss that window. Hope this helps someone.
Thanks Karen! I appreciate it. I was surprised at how difficult this stuff was to work with when everyone else said it was easy 🥴 Hoping this helps someone else out.
Soooo thankful you posted this, Yami! I’ve seen others use it, too and contemplated. I would’ve used the product you used since spray in a house is no joke, but I’m thinking those with the most success used the spray version. Thank you for sharing!
2 problems and they reinforced each other: - sand the bare countertop first so the paint can adhere better - you said to put a thin first coat on, then started literally pouring the paint on. With a thin coat, you'll see lots of the countertop showing through. This is what you want.
Agreed, this so-called "fail" was a result of not following the very basic instructions to do a very thin coat. She even admitted she was putting on "a nice thick coat." Then she started adding a second coat more than one hour and less than 24 hours after the first one. Folks, don't expect the product to work if you don't follow instructions.
Multiple thin coats are way better than heavy coats they cure faster and use a velour roller next time it’s all about being patient especially when you see the first coat doesn’t cover .
I recently DIYed my sink with the Rustoleum appliance epoxy spray since I have my sink top oitside. Ended up using 2 cans due to some trial and error, sanding, and bugs. Overall the two cans cost about $20 and it turned out pretty good BUT I do notice that something, likely toothpaste residue or soap residue, has caused some areas to wear away the epoxy. Will likely need to apply another layer of epoxy but this time will not paint it on since the sink is now installed inside.
The first time I utilized this product I had excellent results. My first coat was so thin it was blotchy. Of course it dried quickly. When I saw you pouring product on the surface I thought 'no way is that a thin coat!'. Thin coats allow the proper chemical reactions that leads to faster and thorough drying and curing times.
I wished I had saw this before I got the idea to repaint my kitchen sink. As you, I've done many DIY projects in my old age and this is something I've never done. But after researching and watching countless video on other people's success, I did my kitchen sink. Followed the instructions, waited a WEEK (7 days) before using my sink (yes, while I lived here) and my sink looked amazing for about a couple months, then, because of the high usage, the paint/epoxy started pealing and now my sink looks worse than it did before I painted it. So, thank you for your honestly. I didn't see any negative result video before I started, which I wish people would post so they will know it always don't go as planned!!! Cheers!
Well you tried. I believe the problem started with the “pouring” of the product as opposed to applying a thin layer as the directions indicated. Also, applying a second application before the first layer dried only complicated the problem. The first application actually looked pretty nice. But it was not a total failure. You ended up with a NEW countertop and a valuable experience. Lesson learned. Thanks for sharing. 😊
I have been watching many videos and reading tons of blogs etc and even the alleged “1 step process” without sanding or priming somehow turn into projects that will require 3 tools I’ll never need and can’t afford and 2-25 tools from the 15th century. The most common lessons are by people who have been flipping thrift store items since birth and they don’t faint at the thought of removing and replacing hardware or having arms they can’t feed themselves with anymore because they were sanding for 37 hours using 4 different tools and 9 different scratch levels of paper. I love your truth and I will probably be happy getting a new top or a new sink and vanity (don’t get me started on a quick slap of paint with chalk, epoxy or dried rhinoceros amygdala cells. You made my day Lady! Thank you! ❤❤
I did this and it worked great! Used the spray can version of this same paint and it gave an excellent consistent finish. I used 120 grit to rough up the surface first and used plastic sheeting to cover everything in the bathroom as it dioes throw overspray. One can did the trick with lots left over. I sprayed the surface probably 5 times. It looks great.
I love your honest approach. Even though you are incredibly frustrated, you learned a lot, and in turn gave your community a great knowledge share. Thank you for a real life peek into the way this product performed in your space - as always, I appreciate all you do to make your channel great!
Everything else you and Nelson have tackled has turned out beautifully. So you had one fail; thank you for being real. I appreciate your candor in evaluating a product for a specific application after following the manufacturer’s instructions for use. I know you’ve saved me some time, trouble and frustration. Love to your familia. ❤️
I appreciate you showing what doesn't work as opposed to what one sees on 99+% of TH-cam videos. As you learned, one has to be VERY careful reading the instructions provided by the manufactured on the cans of paint. There is a BIG difference between dry to the touch (e.g. 1 hour for a thin coat), dry enough to handle (24 hours, again for a thin coat) and fully cured. Again - drying time is not curing time - they are 2 different things. Usually paint cans DO NOT tell you the time time it takes for paint to fully cure, which can be up to a week for oil-base paints and epoxy paint. Luckily, this information can sometimes be available on-line. I have found the best way to apply this paint is thin coats applied with an airbrush or airless sprayer. Like any paint or epoxy glue, the thicker it is, the longer it takes to cure and the manufacturer-supplied instruction are for paint applied in thin coats like they say on the can.
I have a motto that I live by. “There is always a way” Sometimes things don’t work out or go the way that we think they should but there truly is always a way we just have to find the right one and yours was being real with us which I appreciate so much. Though you were frustrated you found another way and that’s what my motto is all about. So 👏👏👏for you and jumping right in to try something new and different. Also you really do have mad skills . I am new to watching diy’s on TH-cam and I love the projects you do. We have the same taste in home decor and I
You were the first channel I subscribed to . I also have got my husband watching some of these DIY‘s with me and we both love when you and your husband work together so keep it up and we can’t wait To see what your next project will be . there are no failures only lessons learned. Remember “there’s always a way.” The way this time just happened to be getting a new countertop all together nothing wrong with that ha ha ha.
I also have a motto...there's a solution to every problem. In this case your solution was to replace the entire unit! Believe it or not, in 1979 a product came out such as this. Being in its infancy, it was not a great product. The house we lived in had a horrible colored sink in the kitchen. I thought I would give it a try and after a week of using it the peeling started. But I'm not giving up (45 years later!) and after watching this video and others I will give it another shot. Thank you, beautiful girl, for showing a fail...I love it!
Heads up! First, I want to thank you for doing the video as I learned a lot in the comments..I just did my sink with the first coat very thin using a narrow paint tray and a sponge roller..I used a 2 in brush to do the outer areas and the corners first then filled in the rest with the sponge..immediately repeated the process for a total of two coats..stuck around to catch any drips with the hour..there were none as there were thin coats but would rolled them if there were..or brushed them if in a corner..when I did use the brush, I rolled after if the roller fit..my sink is beautiful and looks like ceramic..it can be done..just go slow..stay focused and time yourself..thin coats, watch for drips within 1 hr. and leave it alone. It does work. I sanded first. Thank you for this video!!🤓
Thank you for saving so many people from the same frustration! I was considering trying this in our RV (we live in it full time). Could humidity have had anything to do with it? I think some epoxies can have issues with curing or applying properly if it's too humid.
Thanks for your candor and information. So many times I see DIY projects go so smoothly and when I attempt it…yuck or more work than anticipated. I know driver error can be the reason but I also know that some of the fails may be left out.
I agree! I’m sure I could have done much better myself on the application, even though I felt pretty confident going into it with the amount of painting I do. 🤷🏻♀️
I'm glad you weren't afraid to post this. It's nice knowing I'm not the only one who has had fails. Regular epoxy works works well for countertops if you ever decide to try again.
Honestly… you are gonna be glad that you just went with the quartz countertops anyway. I actually have used two different countertop epoxies in the past… Pre-TH-cam… and while I was able to get a decent looking finished product. Neither of them lasted more than a year and they looked like trash super fast and I ended up replacing them. That’s why every time I see somebody painting their countertops or people suggesting that I paint my countertops I just cringe because I know that people are going to regret it. Maybe they’ll look good at first… but give it six months to a year. I think the only time it would look good is if you didn’t actually use your kitchen or bathroom. 😂 enjoy your new countertops!
Thanks Natalee! I see so many people refinishing their granite countertops with epoxy and they make it look so easy and from the phone lens it looks good. I am not sure what it is!? Maybe this is the one thing I am not cut out for. LOL
I have used this product in all 3 of my bathrooms. I followed the instructions to the letter. I think where you went wrong is thinking that the first thin coat wasn't enough and you then poured on the first coat where you shouldn't have. So because your thick coat at one hour would just slide off so to speak. Those are only my thoughts. I had excellent results. Less is more type of thing. I am really sorry it didn't work for you.
yea this is like the 10th video i watched on this and when i saw her pour it on the counter i was just screaming, o nooo!!! lol but its a lesson learned for all of us because when i do mine now i know to do thin coats.
Thank you so much for putting out this video and being honest. I was going to try to save money and do the same thing to my personal bathroom’s countertop. I had decided to put my money into the main bathroom that everyone uses and then just DIY mine. I was going to paint my countertop with the Epoxy and just paint the cabinets. I won’t be doing it now. I will probably still paint the cabinets and drawers, but I think I will just move to buying a new countertop and sinks. I do believe that the other people that say it was perfect most of the time it’s not as perfect as they say but they just put that out on their video. All thr work you and your husband have been doing Has been wonderful and I guess this is just the one time it didn’t turn out. Don’t be discouraged, you regrouped and made a plan and that’s what you needed to do. But again I do appreciate your honesty and really letting everybody know the real things that happen in all of your DIYs. It is not always a bed of roses.
3:00 Oh yes, most definitely point to the mask. I have only used the tiny 0.6 ounce bottle and the fumes are terrific. I didn't use a mask for this tiny bottle, but watching you use the quart can I can only imagine the smell. What did you do for ventilation? Also, I am using the little bottle just around the drain area which is rusted. It will be interesting to see how this epoxy holds up under exposure to water in the long term and how well it resists the rust underneath. The paint will not be submerged, but will be exposed to water. My expectations are low, so this will probably be a good thing. Thank you for making this video!
I used the rustoleum glazing for the bathroom tub and tile and it did great. You have to do a VERY light coat (do not pour) and mine was ready for second coat in 1 hour. Also the little bubbles dissolved from the foam roller on their own before second coat. Sorry it did not go as planned for you, always so disappointing!
@@brendamcalpine1341 I did not have any putting. It was a very smooth surface. I don’t think this would be a good product because it has to be applied so THIN and I think it would fill those areas and then crack or bubble when dried.
suggestion who planing to do it room temperture is very important- surface prepping is needed(lite sanded). apply one coat a time allowing 24 hrs inbetween coats.
I always enjoy your videos because you do things to a high standard. Oh, So sorry this happened. I epoxied 2 sinks like yours (and a fridge) with the Rustoleum Appliance Epoxy but used the spray cans even though I didn't want the mess of overspray etc., but I am very happy with the results. I can't wait to see your next project.
The spray is really messy. You need to cover everything around. I would suggest to do multiple thin light coats with that paint…and 12h-24h between coats. It worked for me.
@@TheLatinaNextDoor The spray was so easy and did an amazingly smooth job. The actual painting part takes no more than 5-8 minutes, spraying evenly 12 inches from surface. It’s the prep time with sanding & masking that takes the most time. *Wear a mask!* 😊
It was an expensive lessoned learned. Thank you for this honest cautionary tale of what not to do to save others for making the same mistake. I always appreciate your humility.
Querida Yami! 😱Wow how frustrating! I'm so sorry the epoxy didn't work for you. That thing is tricky! Someone told me that the level of humidity in the air could also affect. Thanks for sharing. I had to remove the vanity because a problem in the wall behind it, and I was pondering my options for a little makeover. Thanks to your video painting the top of the vanity is not in my options anymore. Thank again! You save me from making a mistake.
How frustrating!! I've done it using the "countertop" version of epoxy in my bathroom with positive results. Is the "appliance" epoxy supposed to be better? Just curious why you chose one over the other. Thanks for always keeping it real!
Yami, I'm so glad you did s video on this. I love your honesty. I was just talking to my husband about getting an epoxy kit to do our kitchen counter tops I have never worked with epoxy so I'm just going to wait a little while and buy some new ones. i hope you show more of you fixing this bathroom and the reveal when it is done.
Good morning Yami, you and your hubby are amazing in doing your DIYs. Thank you for the video and showing us how to do and not-to-do expoxy projects. Have a lovely day 🌞
what do you think about using this product on old pink glazed tile, located on the walls (not in the shower or water areas) do you think it may hold up?
Quartz, that is awesome❗❗ I am really sorry you all had to go through this experience. Your honesty is always appreciated. May God bless you & the family♥
Dude! That original sink countertop looked as Gorgeous as You! 1:21 I so hope you keep your Mila Kunis look and don't be tempted by an epoxy glamour makeover 😋
Stonecoat countertop resin works amazing. They have very instructional videos. With any coating you need rough up the surface or use a bonding primer to get the new layer to adhere. Dry time is slowed by temperature as well and can even cause it not to cure if it’s not seventy or above.
YES!!! I have done ALL of my counter tops in my house and some furniture tops too. I looove Stone Coat Countertops!!! They are AWESOME!!! They have phenomenal customer service if you need help or have questions. Go watch their videos, you will fall in love with them. My countertops have held up well for over a year now. So worth it!!! AND FUN!! 😁 I'm sorry that your Countertops turned out that way but I'm glad that you shared your fail. 😉
I had a sink unit like this, it's composit stone to look like marble or whatever....you can't paint it and putting a cleaner that's caustic will make it porous. Well done for sharing. Hope you like the new sink.
First off, I'm so sorry you had to go through this frustration and appreciate you still sharing to expose those that made it sound so easy and wonderful. Mom folks always told me if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. As Natalee said, even when it does go right, it doesn't last long. Products that are formulated for certain surfaces, in this case enamel painted metal appliances, don't always work well on other surfaces. I do wish in your case it would have worked out. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of your bathroom remodel. May the rest go perfectly.
Oh my.... I agree with you. Sometimes directions are not true to what they say. I've never had the opportunity to use expoy at this level and if I ever decide to makeover a sink space I'll just buy a new one. Thanks for the honest feedback. Have a fantastic day.
I'm so glad you shared this with us. I've been planning to do something with our bathroom sinks as well. Same poured one piece sink and counter. Look forward to your next video. Adios
Thank you for sharing this video…it really helps. I have a question, would this product work on shower surrounds? Around our tub, there is a three piece surround that needs to be fixed up. Next year, we want to pull the tub out and have a walk in tiled shower and since we cannot afford this project yet, I thought painting the surround would be good. Have you or anyone used this product to paint your surround or used any other product that might work?
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I watched all of the other videos where it turns out fantastic. My Amazon order is going to be delivered Saturday😳and now, I am nervous. It’s not returnable so I will do thin coats and pray. Like you, I am trying to budget for quartz but want the look now! Wish me luck☘
Hola! Good luck🤞
Thanks for letting us know definitely will not try to doing this myself it will either be a professional or I'll just replace them. Once again thanks for the heads up Yami!!!
This is one of the reasons I love you & LE... y’all are real & that means so much. Thank you for sharing this... you just saved me from a huge headache. I was going to attempt this in one of my upstairs bathrooms... so glad I didn’t. Thank you Yami you’re AMAZING 😉
I definitely appreciate all of your hard work and advice!:That is awful what y'all want through! As always Yami, thank you for sharing! Stay safe, healthy and positive! God bless you and your family!🙏❤🇺🇸😊
It work great for my Mom Tub no problem. I didn't pour it out of the can I use it like I was painting,Light coat the 1st time then the 2nd time. Then I Glaze it about 3to4 days later.
I was so excited at first it looked great. I feel so bad for you doing all that work. I have had my share of failed projects. You do great work I love your videos keep on trying new things. God bless
Thank you, thsnk you, thank you! I just bought a house and was planning on doing this to my bathroom counter top(wine colired). You saved me alot of time and energy, never mind cost!
Thank you for sharing. It is like chalk paint. Special gray roller from Lowes that looks like nylon hair does not create bubbles. 2 coats of primer. Overnite dry for each coat, then 2 coats of chalk paint overnite dry for each. Acrylic primer leaves a milky look on dark color chalk paint. Had to wax on top so the milky look went away. I always think if you can practice on something old and ugly before you do the job it is always best. Painting the back sides of drawer fronts to get your technique down is always the best. Thank you again.
Thank you for not being afraid to show the results! I’ve used that product on two bathroom sinks and I’m 75% happy with the results. I had similar experiences - the roller causes bubbles and the brush leaves marks as this product doesn’t quite fully level out. I was covering up some pretty hideous laminate, so it’s still an improvement but definitely not the kind of finish I was going for. Love your content, thank you so much!!
Great video thanks! I have been trying to decide what to do with a small bathroom countertop of my own. I have heard good things and bad things about the Rustoleum Paint and haven’t been able to make up my mind whether or not to try it or just replace the countertop. I have also been considering using an epoxy that I could just pour over the countertop like I’ve seen in videos for kitchen countertops. 🤷🏼♀️ I generally LOVE Rustoleum products but honestly I tried their floor paint kit on my studio floor, painting it white like an old farmhouse floor. I hate it. I even called Rustoleum and spoke to customer service but they weren’t much help. Now I have way too much “junk” in my studio to repaint the entire floor again! 🤦🏼♀️. Ain’t nobody got time for that! Lol Please post an updated on this project to let us know how it weathers over time “as is”. I’m interested in knowing if and where it chips, peels, or stains. TIA! 🥰
You are adorable! I tried once to paint a countertop in my powder room becasue I saw a lot of You tube on it. Its been a few years and it is peeling. It's small so I am getting it replaced. But I had considered using the epoxy in my master where I have actually two separate vanities with the continuous counter sink combo. Well not any more😆
Sometimes it is better not to follow instructions on the product and other times it is best to leave well enough alone and trust your gut instincts. I am so sorry this didn't work out for you and your family. On the plus side if it is any cancellation the first coat looked great. I love the fact you showed us what not to do i love watching your You Tube channel you have done some very amazing budget friendly projects and room transformations and i love what you do and how real you are when you do them. Honesty is the best policy. great job Yammy never give up trying new things. God bless.Adios
Thanks Tracy! I agree that first coat was awesome for what it was. And then the instructions led me to failure 😭😭😭 at least I know what NOT to do next time 🤣
I'm sorry things didn't work out for you this time. I'm grateful you were honest because I have been contemplating doing this before putting my condo on the market. No, thanks, I'll leave my sink as is. Enjoy your new quartz sink and countertop!
This is absolutely a necessary video sweetie…….people need to know first, not everything turns out the way we’d like but more importantly……Directions often LIE!! Sorry you had to spend money…..but now you have a NEW sink!! ❤️
Glad you let us know the truth about this product . I need to do something with my kitchen counter tops because I can't afford a new counter top. Tyvm !
Thanks for sharing all that. I did my sink counter top in our guest bathroom with appliance paint about 3 years ago and it has held up great. It was a lot of work but in the end it turned out great.
@@TheLatinaNextDoor I used spray paint so maybe that was the difference and it took me 3 days to complete it the smell was awful lol I sanded in between coats and only did light coats. I'm thinking I got lucky
You gave it a great try. . I have a porcelain coated cast iron kitchen sink I was going to try refinishing. But I think I will stick with the imperfections. After all I am not perfect. Lol.
I’m glad you showed this to us although I’m sorry you had to spend extra money. We resurfaced a bathtub once and it was a lot of work for what you got in the end. It lasted about five years and we then put in a new tub. Thanks for showing us what works and what doesn’t. Thanks Yami

It's nice to see someone honest and willing to show a DIY that doesn't work out. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Karen! I appreciate it. I was surprised at how difficult this stuff was to work with when everyone else said it was easy 🥴 Hoping this helps someone else out.
Hi Karen, I'm 14 seconds into the video and see this comment. I guess you've just ansvered the question in the title
Exactly what I was going to say :)

LOL
How frustrating! And bless you for showing the full thing. It’s nice to see that I’m not the only one to have a total fail. ❤
Oh my, you and your husband are amazing with home projects. Disappointments are a reminder that we are human and stuff happens. Take care
OMG! This is exactly why I am so grateful you made this video
How was the surface of your tub to start? Mine has lots of pre-existing pitting, and I need something that will fill in those divots.
@@brendamcalpine1341 I did not have any putting. It was a very smooth surface. I don’t think this would be a good product because it has to be applied so THIN and I think it would fill those areas and then crack or bubble when dried.
Can u use bondo to fill in the pits then paint?
suggestion who planing to do it room temperture is very important- surface prepping is needed(lite sanded). apply one coat a time allowing 24 hrs inbetween coats.
Thanks for letting me know! Perhaps the spray is better? 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you so much!
Thanks for being honest and hopefully stopping someone from making a mistake
Thank you ..I have wanted to try this forever. I loved the fact you took the time to stress what to do and not do...
I will show more in this bathroom very soon and perhaps a different epoxy product would work better. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Good morning Yami, you and your hubby are amazing in doing your DIYs. Thank you for the video and showing us how to do and not-to-do expoxy projects. Have a lovely day 🌞
Thank You for being honest and showing us the do's and don'ts of this product👍🏼💯
I seriously was going to do this project in my home in the next week or so. I am sooooo glad I watched this video. ❤️
what do you think about using this product on old pink glazed tile, located on the walls (not in the shower or water areas) do you think it may hold up?
I appreciate this video! I also tried this product and was not at all pleased. Thank you for being real!
Thanks for letting us know about this item. I wish more people would as honest as you are.
Thank you for posting this. Definitely something I would have tried but now having second thoughts.
Quartz, that is awesome❗❗ I am really sorry you all had to go through this experience. Your honesty is always appreciated. May God bless you & the family♥
Thank you for your honesty...you just saved me lots of time and a new sink...
Dude! That original sink countertop looked as Gorgeous as You! 1:21 I so hope you keep your Mila Kunis look and don't be tempted by an epoxy glamour makeover 😋
Thank you. I have the same sink and thinking of refinish it. You save me the money and work.
Stonecoat countertop resin works amazing. They have very instructional videos. With any coating you need rough up the surface or use a bonding primer to get the new layer to adhere. Dry time is slowed by temperature as well and can even cause it not to cure if it’s not seventy or above.
Never heard of them! It’s a little too late now for this project but I’ll check them out in the future. ☺️
Definitely check them out they do some amazing finishes.
Adios
Ugh! I feel for you! So much work and no results but thank you for the honesty. I was considering this so now I know!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, I was also going to try this product, but thank God you made this video!!
Thank you for being honest that not everything is working out.
Mega kudos
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I watched all of the other videos where it turns out fantastic. My Amazon order is going to be delivered Saturday😳and now, I am nervous. It’s not returnable so I will do thin coats and pray. Like you, I am trying to budget for quartz but want the look now! Wish me luck☘
Best of luck! Keep it super thin!
Hola! Good luck🤞
Thanks for letting us know definitely will not try to doing this myself it will either be a professional or I'll just replace them. Once again thanks for the heads up Yami!!!
You’re welcome! Perhaps in the future I will come across something better.
Thanks for sharing y’all’s experience on this. Sorry this happened to y’all. But I’m glad you shared in what happened.
This was extremely helpful for us DIYers! Thank you!
I paint alot and for many years and I do not like sponge rollers ,sorry you had that trouble. I do love watching all your non failures😇😇
God bless
It did look great at first! I was really sad it didnt work out.
I've never had luck using the Rustoleum Appliance Epoxy either. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Well I'm going to attempt this next weekend 😅 thanks for the heads uPp
Thanks for being honest! I was going to try this method! Now on to other options!!
Hopefully I can find something in the future that it better. I was so bummed it didn’t work out for me.
Thank you for speaking the truth! I really appreciate your honesty.
Thank you for your honesty and for sharing your experience! You are the real deal.
Thank you, thsnk you, thank you! I just bought a house and was planning on doing this to my bathroom counter top(wine colired). You saved me alot of time and energy, never mind cost!
I used the spray paint version and it did very well
Thank you for sharing.
Trial and error and simply just trying it out is usually the best way to see what really works.
Well it makes me feel a little better that I’m not the only one who experienced this. Whew! Thought there was something wrong with me for a bit. 🥴
Thank you! I feel for you & your husband, you worked so hard. Again thank you.
I generally LOVE Rustoleum products but honestly I tried their floor paint kit on my studio floor, painting it white like an old farmhouse floor. I hate it. I even called Rustoleum and spoke to customer service but they weren’t much help. Now I have way too much “junk” in my studio to repaint the entire floor again! 🤦🏼♀️. Ain’t nobody got time for that! Lol
Please post an updated on this project to let us know how it weathers over time “as is”. I’m interested in knowing if and where it chips, peels, or stains. TIA! 🥰
I am so sorry that this product didn't work out for you and I appreciate your honesty and openness!
Well not any more😆
Sorry for the frustration you endured. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the truth about this product. It was very informative. I know you are very good at renovations.
Hugs and love,
Janet 🌷🌷🌷🌷
Thanks for the information. It certainly gives me something to think about before I start on my bathroom.
Thank you for being honest it is truly appreciated.
I’m so sorry your diy sink didn’t work out but congratulations on your new sink . Thanks for your honesty 💕
And then the instructions led me to failure 😭😭😭 at least I know what NOT to do next time 🤣
Lv ur honesty. Not all products work like the can says. Thanku..xo
Sorry, it didn’t work out but the whole reason I started following you, is that you tell the truth! Can’t wait to see the finished bathrooms.
I'm sorry things didn't work out for you this time. I'm grateful you were honest because I have been contemplating doing this before putting my condo on the market. No, thanks, I'll leave my sink as is. Enjoy your new quartz sink and countertop!
Did you try a pin to poke the bubbles¿??
We moved to Atlanta from Phoenix and I couldn’t believe how the humidity effects dry time and curing time. Worse in certain seasons of course.
This is absolutely a necessary video sweetie…….people need to know first, not everything turns out the way we’d like but more importantly……Directions often LIE!! Sorry you had to spend money…..but now you have a NEW sink!! ❤️
Really appreciate your honesty!
Thank you. I have wanted to try doing this but now I won't. Sorry it didn't work out. Thank you for being honest.
Glad you let us know the truth about this product . I need to do something with my kitchen counter tops because I can't afford a new counter top. Tyvm !
Hopefully I can find a product or method that will work. I’m glad it was helpful! 🥰
Thanks for sharing all that. I did my sink counter top in our guest bathroom with appliance paint about 3 years ago and it has held up great. It was a lot of work but in the end it turned out great.
I am glad you had good results with this! I know not everyone has the same experience, this one just happened to be ours.
@@TheLatinaNextDoor I used spray paint so maybe that was the difference and it took me 3 days to complete it the smell was awful lol I sanded in between coats and only did light coats. I'm thinking I got lucky
Appreciate you being real. So sad it did not work out.
Thanks Yami
I’m definitely happy that it gave you 5 years though! It may not be for all but sometimes it’s okay to have a temporary fix 🥰
That just goes on the "what Not to Do" List❣️ Love Your work💖🙌
I definitely greatly appreciate you letting us know that this didn't work. Thank you for sharing.
