That same guy fucking sucker punched me for a one hit KO out of fucking nowhere after I'd defeated 2 bosses - Father Gascoine and Blood-starved. I was very confused and way out of my depth.
If Bloodborne ever gets a “remaster” for the PS5 I hope they’ll open that door... It’s such a little thing, but for some reason I really want to open it. Lol
I just think its really cool that the entire map connects. It reminds you that the entire time, you've always been in Yharnam, you've never left. Knowing that the locked door leads back to the great bridge is just MIND-BLOWING. The attention to detail is amazing.
"When the hunt began, the Healing Church abandoned us, blocking the great bridge to the Cathedral Ward, as they burned Old Yharnam to the ground on that moonlit night." Thats why that door is there but sealed ;)
Want another thing you may have missed? Notice that the dead corpse you get the hunter garb is sitting next to candle sticks that are lit and that standing over him too long causes a shadowy limb to teleport you. The garb you get has a large collar and tophat. All of these traits coincide with Marvelous Chester from Dark Souls who was snatched by a shadowy limb and dragged off to the past. He stands next to candles, wears a very similar looking outfit to the one you find on the corpse. Perhaps poor old Chester didn't have enough frenzy resistance to survive the grab. Another fun fact as that after defeating Mergo's Wet Nurse, Viola's body disappears from the area you find her. Also playing the music box while fighting the Wet nurse will make it dodge as if you attacked it, as well as killing it will make Mergo laugh before it dies. Interesting implications...
This will probably get burried, but there is something that have been bothering me about Gascoine's Daughter for a long time. SPOILER WARNING! You see when you kill Rom and activate the Blood Moon pretty much everything goes to shit. Any NPCs you did not send to the Chapel will go mad, die or turn into beasts. All except the girl in the window that claims to be the sister of the girl you've met before. Why I say claims? Because Gascoine's daughter has a very interesting line of dialogue: "Yes okay, thank you very much mister hunter! I love you almost as much as mum and dad, and grandad!" She mentions even her grandfather, but not her older sister? And where was her older sister all that time? Why wasn't she at the window? Why didn't she react in any way to a strange hunter talking to her little sister? How did she not see her leaving? The girl is very suspicious to me. You can give her the ribbon and she'll get very sad and cry. If you wait a little longer at the window you'll hear her laughing at how beatiful the ribbon is and how it's now hers. Most people assumed the poor girl just went insane at this point. Later you find her at the bottom of the ladder leading up to that window, dead with a white cleaned ribbon on her. Also we know that the "older sister" was not in the house when we were visiting, because of this line: "I'm all alone... and scared..." All in all, it just doesn't quite add up. Unfortunately, I don't get what all of this means, but maybe someone has any ideas. P.S. Also Vaati is a bit wrong about the old lady. It's not guaranteed that she'll die if she goes out to find more sedatives. She may just get back safely and offer them to you again, but it seems there is always a chance that she won't make it each time.
George K. It's very likely that the other girl is jealous of the ribbon that Gascoigne's daughter is wearing. Since she only appears during the red moon, it's possible that it causes her jealousy to make her crazy, resulting in her to break into Gascoigne's house to get the ribbon. Interesting side note is that the voice actors of the little girl and the (supposed) older sister are actually sisters in real life :)
Connor Barclay Yes, that is an interesting theory, but that doesn't explain why she is later found dead at the bottom of the ladder. Cool note about the voice actors, by the way, didn't know that.
George K. Honestly, I think the only reason she fell down that ladder is because she was too busy staring at the ribbon, to the point where she didn't notice the 10ft drop in front of her. It wouldn't suprise me since she keeps going on about how "perfect" the ribbon is, suggesting that she can't take her eyes of that thing. Anyway, that's pretty much my interpretation in a nutshell. Happy to be of help :)
Connor Barclay I don't think she was jealous before the red moon. Before the first girl died those 2 would have had the same type of white ribbon. The red comes from the first girls blood and I think the second girl gets drunk off it plus the insanity from the red moon. Maybe she left to get more blood?
So, Henryk managed to kill Eileen when I tried to confront him. Only a hit left and Henryk is done for, so I decided to give Eileen the last hit (not really, I was busy healing myself in the back while she's being repeatedly shot by Henryk). When I noticed Eileen didn't do anything, I charged a thrust attack just before Henryk killed Eileen. I missed, got repeatedly shot, and then pwned. When I came back to the spot, she wasn't there. Only thing I can find is the Crow Hunter's Badge or whatever it is. Now I'm engulfed in sadness, spamming the "shhh" gesture in the Crowfeather garb while crying in the corner of my room.
Also! You can wear Gascoignes garb while saving Adella. It’s pretty cool since Gascoigne was a part of the Healing Church, but you could probably just wear any church related garb and it would work.
Fun fact: You can also send Adella to Oedon Chapel by wearing Gascoigne's armor, because he used to be a Healing Church hunter, so they designed his garb similarly to the Black Church hunters.
The insight thing is very suprising! I remember being grab by that thing, never got too far into the game to find out what grab me...very scary. Am installing the game now
That door probably was never able to be opened. If yo enter the abandoned house that is a shortcut to the cleric beast you can find a note saying the church locked the door connecting the Cathedral Ward and Central Yarnham
@@ArstotzkaEmpire yeah same here. When I was there the first time I had not spoken to Iosefka yet. Since he goes to the opposite place you tell him, it seems he just goes away if you tell him about the chapel as I did. Good riddance I say, his constant slander has no place in the good ol church.
Alchemist Gamer u know the door to the left of the central yahrnam? behind the door there's a messenger if u ring the Beckoning bell at the messenger u summon Gascoigne
So on the first one: I heard some rumours, that in the beta we could actually reach catedral ward from the Clerick beast arena trough that door, but from for some reason cancelled that. And i think they made that choice, because If it was an option, noobies would simply skip our favorite father and come back later, or never even ecount him. There is 2 major problem with that! 1, casuals would miss the boss, that teach maybe the best, how we deal with human like bosses. And 2, the lore and npc questline.
That makes sense, but to be fair-- I know Fromsoft would probably make it so that the door can be unlocked after defeating Gascoigne. I mean, he is the first main boss, after all. It wouldn't make sense to just be able to skip him.
Yeah that... Or they could still make it unlockable, right after we beat Gascoigne and open it on the other side. Tbh it just dumb make it lock like that, knowing fromsoft love making shortcut
One thing that I found on my second playthrough of the game was that the elevator that goes up to the Healing Church Workshop actually has one more stop, it just doesn't stop to let you off. If you turn around instead of facing the way you were, you can clearly see the opening as it is going up and if you time it well enough you can roll off into the doorway that's around halfway up the elevator. You can then follow a path that leads to some decent loot and an unreachable area by any other means.
Gascoigne's attire also gives you the ability to send Adella to one of the safe places. And you don't have to reload your game after talking to Eileen about Henryk to fight him. Even Eileen will be at the graveyard. It's a short run too.
Tomb prospector set works as well. If you put all of your armor in your storage box, they will be in their own category in storage like church armor, hunter, vileblood, etc so you can see exactly what each armor set is classified as.
So i'm surprised no one has said this. Eileen is the crow in this game just like the crows in the last 3 games, only difference is she isn't a merchant for random items.
It actually says in a note within that one dark house at the beginning of the game that the way to cathedral ward was blocked at the bridge, this makes that door being locked completely canon!
You forgot to mention Arianna gives birth to a celestial larva that drops one third umbilical cord when killed (also kills Arianna) after defeating Micolash.
That door in the first point is locked. The man at the window at the Central Yharnam lantern mentions that the path to Cathedral Ward from the Great Bridge has been closed off.
Just thought it'd be interesting to note that the Priestess lady in the prison can be brought to the Ward with not only the black church set, but also the white one as well. Totally pointless information, but it's cool that more than one church set can work.
Vaati you forgot one thing! Eileen the crow (I think was the name) has one final confrontation in the grand cathedral after the blood moon is activated! She fails a fight against a knight that has the blood katana and, after you kill the knight, Eileen dies and gives you all her belongings, including the Hunter of Hunters caryll run.
On my first play through I missed "the hunter of hunters" 2nd appearance and fond her and Henryk fighting, Henryk won and I killed him and until now thought he was an invading player. Thanks for the clarification!
I don't even own BloodBorne but still really enjoy your content on it, really interesting to know about all the little details they put into the game. These videos also help me to still be conversation worthy with all my friends that have moved to BloodBorne so thank you for that! 😄
U can also use gascoignes set for saving adella, u can buy it for insight after killing him And there is a third location which is on the roof of the cathedral ward. Keep an eye out for a passway when going up with the lift.
Mate I love your narration on your videos for Bloodborne. I’m a noob, been playing a few months on and off, only just got past Vicar Amelia. I can’t imagine the months / years of solid work you’ve done on this. Anyway, your videos are captivating and great to watch. Just shows how incredibly complex Bloodborne is
You're probably not wondering about this anymore, but since I know the answer I figured I'll write it anyway in case anyone else is wondering! The answer is sadly no, as she will only leave her house after you have left the area via lantern, thus respawning all the enemies
@@BearlyAwake13 It really helps in making the world of Bloodborne seeming as grim and devoid of hope as possible. We are after all but a good Hunter, seeking paleblood to further our own purpose
+VaatiVidya could you help me out here , i had killed henryk 5 times now (offline) and i couldn't get his set, do i have to be online in order to get his set?
I've read that if you choose to take the Red Amulet to the little girl, if you go back to that window later after retrieving the Red Ribbon you'll find the little girl's older sister. You can tell her of her sister's demise and she'll walk out of the house and commit suicide by jumping down the ladder to the right. She drops the White Messenger Ribbon. I smashed the gem though cos I was struggling and needed the damage boost and apparently this option isn't available to people who smashed the gem. I've not tested it myself but it's on one of the BB wiki's.
I smashed it and still got this to happen. I told her i could not find her mother and she should go to the cathedral. After some time this even was triggered.
Sidorio Yup, that's what happened in my game. I went back to see if she died taking the same path as her sister and she's lying right at the bottom of the ladder next to the troll pounding on the door. Based on the blood spatter around her it's clear that she jumped to her death. From are some real bastards haha.
Sidorio But if you decide to send the little girl to Iosefka's clinic, she'll actually make the journey, only to be turned into a smurf. She'll drop the Formless Oedon rune (+1) when you kill her, you... you... Gargamel! ;)
The NPC in Forbidden Woods who turns into a man-beast, can also be sent to the chapel, he gives you beast blood pellets but other NPC'S will be killed off (Not sure if he killed them) but the old lady and the guy who gives you the quest to recruit NPC'S gets killed. You also stated that the old lady leaves to find more sedatives. On my play through, blood is around anywhere an NPC used to be. But I'm sure you knew all of that 💎😃
Amelia can be VERY easy with the flame thrower and that consumable that buffs guns in left hand. One buff and half bullets are easily enough to dispatch her
Interesting that you're treating the drop down to that dark bit at the bottom of the tower as a secret. In my mind that was always the "proper" route, with the pay-2-open gate being a shortcut.
After the Blood-starved Beast is dead, the door near the first lantern in Cathedral Ward which you take to get to the healing workshop- As the elevator is going up, turn around and there is a secret pathway halfway up the elevator shaft that brings you out to an area above that first lantern. Some collectables up there.
i miss these.... also thank for showing the drop to the shop. ive died so many times because of that increased initial horizontal fall movement thing. and once you showed me a good angle i got it first try.
+Brent Ramsten also you should have mentioned the cresent flame bloodgem guarded by the mindsucker. if you put that on a level 6 cleaver, you can stun amelia so hard that she is almost incapable of attacking you back. its right on the way to her boss door too. first try the only attack she got on me was a ground pound that did about 1/10th of my health and then i just kept beating on her until she died. litterally just stood there pressing the R1 button. didnt even have to spam heals. that was my first time by the way, never fought her before. i highly reccomend defeating the boss to the left, which gave me both the ability to use runes, as well as enough twin blood shards to upgrade my cleaver, more or less
then it has somthing to do with your heartrate. the fight with bsb (and that little shit looks scary) is more intense due to its scary move set and you feel it pumping your blood. while vicar its calm thinking
OjaioFansub I know this is two years ago but I found a video on reddit saying to keep to the left by remembering Beyoncé lyrics. I still died like three times but I finally managed to get it correctly by the fourth time.
Regarding Adella, you can use a chest piece from any of: Black/White Church set Executioner's set Gascgoine's set Choir set Tomb Prospector's set Only the chest piece triggers her dialogue, so there is no need to wear the full set except for stats or fashion. Also, I believe she only dies if she is not saved before the blood moon, so withholding and coming back is most certainly an option. This means only the Choir set is not accessible to you before she dies in standard NG.
BRO WHAT??? i need to stop watching these before I’ve finished the game, I had no idea high insight level shows you this stuff. I genuinely thought that the game glitched out or something when I picked up that armor set. THAT IS SO FREAKIN AWESOME that there is a huge freakin monster that I probably would have never known was there. I just got an even higher level of respect for this game.
My guessing with that closed door, I think it has to do with the Cleric Beast. I'm thinking that perhaps at one time at development, Father Gasginov would have been optional, perhaps you'd only need to kill the beast, and you'd then be able to enter that door near the bridge, and you'd enter that pot room.
Thanks so much! I watched all three of the videos you have on this weapon and this is the only one I could do at the moment. Also farming those spiders has a pretty good payout. For the love of god don't let them get behind you.
I think there's one more thing you can discuss. The secret area that is above the lamp in Cathedral Ward spawn point. You can access it after the Blood-Starved Beast. Take the elevator that leads to the Healing Workshop but as you'e going up/down the elevator, there's a section you can enter while still on the elevator. May not be lore specific but I think it's something a lot of players both old and new may have missed.
You forgot to mention the NPC you can interact with inside a house after you kill the beast that drops the “beast” rune at the bottom of the healing church well. His house can be found on the right hand side a few doors down and he gives you a “gall stone” that lets you get transported to the area in Yharnam with all the Amygdalla’s that shoot lazer beams. I forget the name of the area. Hope this helps
#1 is simply awesome on From Software's part - specifically Team A and Miyazaki. Mainly due to the fact that they align perfectly in the world AND we don't have any elevators, at the top of towers, that go UP to volcanoes. Huge accomplishment on their part, I must say.
Oh man, i didnt even get one npc to the chapel, i trusted iosefka more......well, in the end that idea was definitely terrible. Great video overall, but at least from my experience i can say, that the numbing mists for amelia are not really necessary. On my first few tries i played like in dark souls, more passively, dashing backwards after attacking etc. After that i tried the more aggressive approach, always staying near her side, dodging her attacks and attacking afterwards. She never used the heal. Overall, that was a theme i recognized over time. Every boss killed me, cause i played too passively, playing more aggressive, giving the boss no time to breath worked every single time (at least for the bosses in the main world, didnt fight all the chalice dungeon bosses yet)
TheDoomGrenade This! Had exactly the same experience with Amelia, trying to sit back, dodge and wait for an opening got me killed. Hugging her sides and being very aggressive seemed to work really well as long as you watch out for those nasty sweeping attacks.
TheDoomGrenade I agree, hug the hip strike the ass, every main story boss (excluding optional) was aggressive aggressive aggressive, dodge, agg agg agg dodge. I love how they added more combos and sped up combat a bit in Blood over previous souls. don't do that on depth 4 and 5 chalices though. Got my plat, but had to slow down my assault against those insane bosses.
MrManguy I actually didn't find Amelia that hard at all. All her attacks were telegraphed and easy to dodge. I used a vertical attack to hit her head every time she tried to heal, interrupted it instantly and also gave a few seconds of free damage.
TheDoomGrenade She does it more often in NG+, but she can perform two of her leaping back attacks in sequence to distance herself from you if you're too close when she wants to heal. You'll want the numbing mist if she does that because it's hard to react and keep up with her before she gets in to full healing mode. NG+ she is much harder to stagger too, taking at least a full charged R2-combo from Ludwig's Greatsword, one of the heaviest hitting pair of attacks in the game. Numbing Mist becomes vital then.
Damnnnnn!! I passed cathedral ward & saw nothing of what in this video .. It was just empty to me .. :( And now I'm stuck in old yharnam .. :'( PS: This is my first game of this type ..
Also, tip for people struggling with Vicar Amelia, use the flamesprayer. It's very good against her. If you have oil urns, use those on her first, then spray her down occasionally during the fight.
6:24 - afaik snatchers appear not only after blood starved beast death, but after collecting 19 insight (or some other value, I'm not sure). Just a small addition to your wonderful video, got a lot of useful information from it. Thanks!
Meryem Choubaili Pleaase Fromsoft, feed us ! A DLC that starts from the hatch on the first floor of Byrgenwerth, the fact that this hatch doesn't open drive me nuts !
***** Maybe not a fully fledged one but Miyazaki likes to release a full game so perhaps given the strong sales numbers Sony and From will say thanks by tucking us a couple free weapons or something; during a time when abusive dlc practices are pervading the gaming world as under-delivered games saturate the market, here's hoping Bloodborne won't follow suit.
One thing I noticed you said in another video is how in the cut dialogs more characters were aware of the dream and you wished this to remain true. Something to that effect. Anyways the temple dweller of Oden temple does just this in his final dialog. He asks to be friends but knows at the end of the night he will do it all over again, he always does.
02:05 No man, dont' give the "Red Messenger Ribbon" at the messengers. Iif you come back to the windows when you spoke to the little girl, then the sister respond to you and give it to her the Red Ribbon. Later on, you'll find her dead (maybe suicide) right down the stairs. :(
John Bishop Sorry to pop the bubble but that's not her real sisiter, it's an imposter, remember the little girl say I love you as much as mum and dad, and granddad!, did not mention she has a sisiter, and after you give the "sister" the red messengers ribbon, she actually says something freaky like I cannot wait to try this on
I’ve played a butt ton of RPG’s I love em and a massive verity of other games with countless collectibles. But I’m astonished by how many things I missed on my play through of bloodborne, yet again a testament to how good that game is.
It took me 4 years of trying for various lengths, but I finally got to the second checkpoint in bloodborne last week. I’ve killed every single boss on the first try except Rom, just got past him. He took me a couple dozen attempts and also every single health potion I had saved up in storage. I literally killed him with a minuscule amount of health left after having used my last vial a second before.
Kameratyp After you get the summoning bell item there are messages that show up saying something like "if you need help ring the bell". Use the bell there and a NPC hunter will appear or should appear.
Zealot Zetaos yeah, you have to stand ON that Note I believe.. but we have only 2 summons :( Gascoigne at the cleric beast and Alfred at the blood-starved beast. Wish there would be more story specific jolly-coop. :/
I remembwr being so pissed because design wise i KNOW that that door was meant to be a shortcut, but i cant for the life of me undwrstand why they didnt use ut
I didn’t know you could upgrade or repair weapons... I spent more time trying to beat Vicar Amelia than I did playing the entire rest of the game. It took me about 20 hours to beat her, including all of the time I spent grinding to buy countless new weapons, because I didn’t know I could just repair them for a fraction of the cost. Additionally I beat her with no charms on my character or my weapons. I beat Vicar Amelia with the same stuff you have at the beginning of the game.
Something not mentioned in the video is how the lantern Priests gain a small AoE attack and also tracking projectiles, making them just a little bit more annoying.
You completely forgot the girl and secret elevator at the bottom of the Cathedral that gives you the immortal rune, which by the way makes you invincible for ten seconds every time you use it and makes the game so much easier! During the fight with Vicar you have to die initially to get the fog blocking the door, then make sure you have at least 25 Insight, when you approach the top of the stairs you will notice the fog on the door lifts after about every few seconds, if you time it right you will go through the fog vs pressing the button to enter, if it worked correctly Vicar will NOT be in the room, go to the back wall and wait until you get a cut scene showing a mysterious girl going through the east wall, there will now be a passage in the wall you can enter. There is a huge circular staircase you have to run down which will take you literally about five minutes, there you will find the girl sitting there in a chair next to an elevator, she will not move or respond until you get into the elevator and she will stand up, DO NOT STEP ON THE STONE to go up, this will cause the game to glitch and you will not return to this area unless you start a new game, instead go back out of the elevator and start walking back up the stairs, you will hear a scream and then walk back down to return to find the girl missing and in the chair there with the glowing item, grab the rune and use the elevator, now I would recommend equipping the rune immediately because you will be facing a room full of enemies when the elevator stops, five crows, two hunters, and about ten humans, tough battle but it can be done without the rune, regardless once you defeat the enemies a save point appears and you can transport back to the main areas. Now I just want to warn you that there are certain criteria that need to be met prior as well so I suggest you beat all prior bosses, talk to everyone, and dont go out of the Cathederal area or to far ahead in the game. I have heard it works for some and not others but dont know the exact criteria. I just know that when it worked for me I did everything in order....ENJOY!
You can't, as Gascoigne in his summoned Form will not follow you into the Elevator, or the way around and up the ladder, to reach the bridge leading to his Boss fight.
While the elevator to the workshop is on it's way up, keep running forward. There's a doorway thing in the wall and you'll run through it while the elevator is moving. There's a chest with a rune in it and also some urn pots that go on the messengers heads, which looks really funny and cute! You'll be able to drop down into the centre of the cathedral from there. :)
For Eileen the Crow’s side quest: if you do not help her with Henryk in the Tomb of Odeon before you beat Amelia. She will attack you in the Grand Cathedral later on.
I know this is an old video, but I like how you can just say "that room where you rolled through all the pots" and everybody who's played the game instantly knows exactly where you're talking about since there's a 99.9% chance we all did it.

Notice that the dead corpse you get the hunter garb is sitting next to candle sticks that are lit and that standing over him too long causes a shadowy limb to teleport you.
Connor Barclay
Yes, that is an interesting theory, but that doesn't explain why she is later found dead at the bottom of the ladder.
Garl Vinland There's a ribbon symbol? I didn't notice that :\
Connor Barclay I don't think she was jealous before the red moon.
You really are a wuss theo ._.
BloodRedWolf the Crimson Tinge b-but my Eileen-samaaa
Hweeeeeee TTT^TTT
Theodore Ludong Suck it up you bitch boy Ill get the Executioner covenant guy if you dont stop
BloodRedWolf the Crimson Tinge I have the memory of Eileen the Crow with me! I won't lose before I am reunited with my beloved Eileen-sama!!
Theodore Ludong Do you want to hear the exectutioners laugh after he kills analise? :3
Also! You can wear Gascoignes garb while saving Adella. It’s pretty cool since Gascoigne was a part of the Healing Church, but you could probably just wear any church related garb and it would work.
Indeed you can. I wore father Gascoigne’s armor to speak with her myself, because I totally missed getting the church armor when I was in that area.
Am installing the game now
Did you finish it
Also after you beat vicar A, you can find a key item to teleport to the dlc area from grabbing it in the dream and getting grabbed by the hand
That door probably was never able to be opened. If yo enter the abandoned house that is a shortcut to the cleric beast you can find a note saying the church locked the door connecting the Cathedral Ward and Central Yarnham
Lucas Freire oh yeah, the times I've read it when I first played Bloodborne..
Lucas Freire guys I couldn't have gotten an old man to the cathedral cause I didn't have a hospital option. And now I can't talk to him at all.
Vaati. Summon Gascoigne and play the tiny music box. He chuckles a bit.
FastFlyerJr He also flinches from it like it scares him.
FastFlyerJr It's more a grunt than a chuckle. Like an annoyed/emotional sigh.
how do you summon him please
Alchemist Gamer u know the door to the left of the central yahrnam?
behind the door there's a messenger if u ring the Beckoning bell at the messenger u summon Gascoigne
Can you summon him if you killed him because I accidentally wondered into his base and killed him
Ah Vaat....or some say Vaati....
Do you hear our requests
As you once did for the vacuous Darksydephil
Grant us lore....Grant us LORE!!!
Connor Barclay gods i hated fighting that boss...
Montana Salvador yeah, that little shit. Running around, endlessly rambling, shooting me with his damn hentai ray (Ebrietas summon)
Awesome reference!
He was pretty easy for me just cheesed him
This is brilliant. I'll grant you likes.
So on the first one:
I heard some rumours, that in the beta we could actually reach catedral ward from the Clerick beast arena trough that door, but from for some reason cancelled that. And i think they made that choice, because If it was an option, noobies would simply skip our favorite father and come back later, or never even ecount him. There is 2 major problem with that! 1, casuals would miss the boss, that teach maybe the best, how we deal with human like bosses. And 2, the lore and npc questline.
Also lorewise, the church sealed the bridge to cathedral ward and abandoned yharnam. That's probably the path they sealed off
That makes sense, but to be fair-- I know Fromsoft would probably make it so that the door can be unlocked after defeating Gascoigne.
5 years later I'm still watching these videos, fuck I love bloodborne
One thing that I found on my second playthrough of the game was that the elevator that goes up to the Healing Church Workshop actually has one more stop, it just doesn't stop to let you off. If you turn around instead of facing the way you were, you can clearly see the opening as it is going up and if you time it well enough you can roll off into the doorway that's around halfway up the elevator. You can then follow a path that leads to some decent loot and an unreachable area by any other means.
Is that hole still there or is it patched?
It's still there
@@dreadbouti know this is obscenely late but it will never get patched since its a feature of the game
Gascoigne's attire also gives you the ability to send Adella to one of the safe places.
And you don't have to reload your game after talking to Eileen about Henryk to fight him. Even Eileen will be at the graveyard. It's a short run too.
DrkJP520 Any church set can do, I did it with the white church set
DrkJP520
Gascoigne's set is pretty much a custom church set, except it has style.
DrkJP520 Wow I didn't know about father g's custome
Tomb prospector set works as well. If you put all of your armor in your storage box, they will be in their own category in storage like church armor, hunter, vileblood, etc so you can see exactly what each armor set is classified as.
DrkJP520 It doesn't need to be even the complete attire, I recruited her wearing only Gascoigne's chestpiece.
So *you’re* the reason everyone keeps throwing numbing mist at me.
What are you still doing here? Enough trembling in your boots. A hoonter must hoont.
You forgot to mention Arianna gives birth to a celestial larva that drops one third umbilical cord when killed (also kills Arianna) after defeating Micolash.
YOU CAN SUMMON GASCOIGNE! ?!?!?!?!?!?!?
yes, to help you sometimes, like in the cleric beast fight
And alfred if you leave the cleirc beast alive then go meet alfred trust me as of now im infront of the bell in the central yharnam shortcut
Alfred just gets killed if he gets hit once or twice, he isn't that good of a hunter.
How do we summon him?
do you need the old Hunter Bell and there will be like a little red fire and you can summon them from there
You missed the secret room while going up the elevator
That door in the first point is locked. The man at the window at the Central Yharnam lantern mentions that the path to Cathedral Ward from the Great Bridge has been closed off.
Just thought it'd be interesting to note that the Priestess lady in the prison can be brought to the Ward with not only the black church set, but also the white one as well. Totally pointless information, but it's cool that more than one church set can work.
***** And the Djura's grey set.
1 piece is enough!
Henne123 just chest, yeah
Henne123 Any chest piece with the church's scarf is enough to get her to calm down.
Also works with executioner set.
It's a DLC door leading to the moonlight greatsword and fifth
ending.
There are 4 endings? I was only aware of 3...
Richie Godsil That's the beauty of ending five, Richie. It's so intense it skips over the other two!
***** is it?
***** Well Ludwig is mentioned a lot of times. Plus he is fought.
Richie Godsil Don't let him trick you :P
There's only 3
Vaati you forgot one thing! Eileen the crow (I think was the name) has one final confrontation in the grand cathedral after the blood moon is activated! She fails a fight against a knight that has the blood katana and, after you kill the knight, Eileen dies and gives you all her belongings, including the Hunter of Hunters caryll run.
8:23 I wished you would've shown where the Ludwig Holy Blade is cause that's something I missed.
Get it man! I got a ps4 just for this game. I'm glad I did
Nah, I already have an Xbox One and much prefer Microsoft exclusives over Sony's. :)
I have both pal, Xbox day one. It's been a useless lump of 500 quid. But I've gotta have em all!
you also missed a secret hole in the wall on the elevator in the cathedral, on the back side
Dein Mowl That's not really a secret though. If you're used to the souls series at all that's just called level design haha.
***** This is a foul note.
***** Epicnamebro did it on his play through videos
***** liar ahead therefore be wary of but hole
Nvm. I thought he meant the opening you can access when riding the elevator halfway between the top and bottom

Mate I love your narration on your videos for Bloodborne. I’m a noob, been playing a few months on and off, only just got past Vicar Amelia. I can’t imagine the months / years of solid work you’ve done on this.
Anyway, your videos are captivating and great to watch. Just shows how incredibly complex Bloodborne is
I wonder, if you told Gascoigne's daughter to go to Oedon Chapel after killing all the enemies in the sewers. Could she actually be saved ?
You're probably not wondering about this anymore, but since I know the answer I figured I'll write it anyway in case anyone else is wondering! The answer is sadly no, as she will only leave her house after you have left the area via lantern, thus respawning all the enemies
@@BearlyAwake13 It really helps in making the world of Bloodborne seeming as grim and devoid of hope as possible. We are after all but a good Hunter, seeking paleblood to further our own purpose

In my experience the sister seems to appear after you've killed the boss in Byrgenwerth.
Sidorio Yup, that's what happened in my game. I went back to see if she died taking the same path as her sister and she's lying right at the bottom of the ladder next to the troll pounding on the door. Based on the blood spatter around her it's clear that she jumped to her death. From are some real bastards haha.
Yup it does happen just so you know, but I don't know if the if older sister actually commits suicide because when you find her, her back is broken.

"Leave the hoonting of hoonters to me."
Was that you, Vaati, or was it the game? XD
naw it was vaati😂
Interesting that you're treating the drop down to that dark bit at the bottom of the tower as a secret. In my mind that was always the "proper" route, with the pay-2-open gate being a shortcut.
After the Blood-starved Beast is dead, the door near the first lantern in Cathedral Ward which you take to get to the healing workshop- As the elevator is going up, turn around and there is a secret pathway halfway up the elevator shaft that brings you out to an area above that first lantern. Some collectables up there.
4:51 - I'll leave the hoonting of hoonters to you, Vaati. ^_^
1:08 it does make sense. Central Yharnamites say that the Church blocked the bridge. That's the bridge. The door is blocked.
i miss these.... also thank for showing the drop to the shop. ive died so many times because of that increased initial horizontal fall movement thing. and once you showed me a good angle i got it first try.
+Brent Ramsten
also you should have mentioned the cresent flame bloodgem guarded by the mindsucker. if you put that on a level 6 cleaver, you can stun amelia so hard that she is almost incapable of attacking you back. its right on the way to her boss door too.
first try the only attack she got on me was a ground pound that did about 1/10th of my health and then i just kept beating on her until she died.
litterally just stood there pressing the R1 button. didnt even have to spam heals.
that was my first time by the way, never fought her before.
i highly reccomend defeating the boss to the left, which gave me both the ability to use runes, as well as enough twin blood shards to upgrade my cleaver, more or less
You missed the messengers urn we can find in the cathedral.its pretty hidden
I killed Alfred and I felt bad ;3;
Alfred: "You'll... Regret this..."
Well he's right.
blood staverd beast was more difficult than vicar amellia
+OjaioFansub really? well i found it the other way around. the blood starved one was kinda easy just by dodging and slashing
+shuhaib thawoos bsb kill me like 10 times, vicar amelia kill me like 2 times
then it has somthing to do with your heartrate. the fight with bsb (and that little shit looks scary) is more intense due to its scary move set and you feel it pumping your blood. while vicar its calm thinking
+shuhaib thawoos hum... maybe, I use the flamesprayer and some bonemarrow and was really easy that way XD
OjaioFansub I know this is two years ago but I found a video on reddit saying to keep to the left by remembering Beyoncé lyrics.
I still died like three times but I finally managed to get it correctly by the fourth time.
Regarding Adella, you can use a chest piece from any of:
Black/White Church set
Executioner's set
Gascgoine's set
Choir set
Tomb Prospector's set
Only the chest piece triggers her dialogue, so there is no need to wear the full set except for stats or fashion.
God damn how the fuck do people comment like a millisecond after the video is uploaded
Sjel av natten ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Vaati how did u do THAT?! Teach me!
Rage Angel Look up "shrug" on google, and then copy and paste the thing that looks like it.
Ok...
Undergången No life-ing it is a way of life to them. If the refresh button had durability on it, it would be way beyond broken at this point. lol
And you missed Formless Odeon and Urn Messenger decoration from the elevator to Healing Workshop
Favorite part of this video is the description

"Leave the hoonting of hoonters to me" 🐦⬛
Your voice though...you can talk me into anything with that voice...
I strongly disagree
Why are u gay?
CloudyCreative Poor little cane doesn't really have the vertical reach to hit her like that. =(
TheDoomGrenade
She does it more often in NG+, but she can perform two of her leaping back attacks in sequence to distance herself from you if you're too close when she wants to heal.
And now I'm stuck in old yharnam .. :'(
PS: This is my first game of this type ..
Damn dude I wish you had made more videos like this. Really helpful.
Also, tip for people struggling with Vicar Amelia, use the flamesprayer. It's very good against her. If you have oil urns, use those on her first, then spray her down occasionally during the fight.
Lmao or just fight, shes the second easiest boss after the WOH and then Rom.
6:24 - afaik snatchers appear not only after blood starved beast death, but after collecting 19 insight (or some other value, I'm not sure).
Just a small addition to your wonderful video, got a lot of useful information from it. Thanks!
We need DLC!
Meryem Choubaili hell yeah we do
Meryem Choubaili non-paid DLC
Meryem Choubaili Pleaase Fromsoft, feed us ! A DLC that starts from the hatch on the first floor of Byrgenwerth, the fact that this hatch doesn't open drive me nuts !
***** Maybe not a fully fledged one but Miyazaki likes to release a full game so perhaps given the strong sales numbers Sony and From will say thanks by tucking us a couple free weapons or something; during a time when abusive dlc practices are pervading the gaming world as under-delivered games saturate the market, here's hoping Bloodborne won't follow suit.
Free DLC

One thing I noticed you said in another video is how in the cut dialogs more characters were aware of the dream and you wished this to remain true. Something to that effect. Anyways the temple dweller of Oden temple does just this in his final dialog. He asks to be friends but knows at the end of the night he will do it all over again, he always does.

I've seen this before and often, but this one was so unexpected it actually got me.
Nice.
Gian Tra she probably got killed. After you killed the final boss of the world everything goes to shit and looks darker.

I beat Vicar Amelia with the same stuff you have at the beginning of the game.
lol
Where is the things you missed in the hunter's dream
my eilenee(or whatever) died in the fight with the guy :D
Huh!?
What
Oh Brother, 1000 of players now try to do this… there is not even a picture on the internet of the rune you mentioned…

You can't, as Gascoigne in his summoned Form will not follow you into the Elevator, or the way around and up the ladder, to reach the bridge leading to his Boss fight.
sadly it wont let you in, it sucked cause i actually went and tried to see if it would work but it didnt :(
While the elevator to the workshop is on it's way up, keep running forward.
