You know what's sad about fallout? The best fallout game wasn't even made by them. New Vegas was made by Obsidian Entertainment. Their best non fallout game (so far) was made by id software. Bethesda themselves have yet to make a game that doesn't have a billion problems in it. They just work.

When big major publishers keep saying they made a “mistake”, I don’t believe them one bit and am convinced they’re full of complete shit. You know if they’d stop fucking us over perhaps we’d believe them, but with their incessant greed we as consumers have no reason to trust them at all and they’re figuring that out the hard way.
They don't have any respect for their audience. It's all about cranking the marketing up to 11 while they cut corners on rushed games, and when the games struggle to meet expectations, they are the ones their investors ask: "how do we fix this bad press problem?" and of course their answer is "give us more money and we'll fool them properly this time".

No joke Fallout 4 has this weird notification on the title screen saying some people cannot use mods & some users might have to reinstall update. It happened around the same time 76 updated previously. Not sure how or why it could be related but it's definitely curious
This was definitely a lie.... The login was required to TRACK THE HOURS PLAYERS WERE PLAYING. so they could see if they could milk these players too by adding future microtransactions. That's the only reason they would add a login for. I am a programmer myself. A login acts as an object which you can use to track spanned time. Then you can add further variables within game to track other malicious user activity. Which can be used to exploit them and plant future microtransactions based on user input saved through the login object. I'm glad we spolied bethesdas plan to further milk from its classic fans who are all grown up now and probably have a job. So they have money.. And bethesda wanted that money.. See this is how sly they are.

One of my friend is working on an indie project, and his team wanted to add some online features. However, online is way, WAY harder than coding offline. They hit a tall wall so they just give up the whole online idea. So no, I'm not believing this is an accedent.

Clearly they clicked "Send to retail" on accident on the 76 Alpha build as well. This error clears up all their discretions, naturally, I mean they changed it so they are good people.

@@abnnizzy yes. after you make your account, create a steam profile, download the manager/store, download the game through the manager, start the game online at least once, select the option to start offline and then and only then being able to play certain valve games "offline" but only for a few days before needing to reconnect. But most important what does that have to do with my comment? That picture is dumb because you still need to make an account and log to valve's servers to play their games even if you buy a retail copy the only difference is that steam is also social media and valve fanboys are hardcore

If I had a Switch and wanted the old Doom games on it I would have also liked an option to have the FM soundtrack rather than the General Midi one (as that's how I prefer the music and what I am used to on a real DOS PC as I have a Sound Blaster Pro 2.0 installed).

Their older games had some degree of RPG complexity which made it more RPG. Their newer games got progressively worse as they toned down the creativity and complexity for simplicity. I mean I love Skyrim for the mods and I guess the graphics and I like the game but the quests were boring as hell, the magic system was as bland as vanilla and the character creation was simply just aesthetics. I kinda always felt cucked by them as a long term fan of theirs. They only ever appeased the casual audience.

@@valen9835 Bringing up Crysis is abit misleading since the game was and is heavily unoptimised . It ran like crap on systems back then whereas today it is very much playable with modern components. Doom 2004 however was pretty well optimized for the time and ran very well; unsurprisingly this yields to it being able to run on pretty much anything nowadays with smooth frame rates. The Nintendo switch is much more capable than the original requirements for the game. That's not even mentioning code optimization that would allow higher frames to be achieved as well.

Just inserted Doom 3 bfg edition into my xbox one x, it tried to install a 1300mb update, I ejected the disc and restarted... Hasn't asked me again since. Enjoying playing doom 2 split screen now!!!!

One of my friend is working on an indie project, and his team wanted to add some online features. However, online is way, WAY harder than coding offline. They hit a tall wall so they just give up the whole online idea.

@@abnnizzy yes. after you make your account, create a steam profile, download the manager/store, download the game through the manager, start the game online at least once, select the option to start offline and then and only then being able to play certain valve games "offline" but only for a few days before needing to reconnect.
But most important what does that have to do with my comment? That picture is dumb because you still need to make an account and log to valve's servers to play their games even if you buy a retail copy the only difference is that steam is also social media and valve fanboys are hardcore

If I had a Switch and wanted the old Doom games on it I would have also liked an option to have the FM soundtrack rather than the General Midi one (as that's how I prefer the music and what I am used to on a real DOS PC as I have a Sound Blaster Pro 2.0 installed).

The local multiplayer is there and it's fine. People forget it costs money for companies to keep online components alive. Expecting every game thats ever come out to keep and maintain access to online multiplayer suites is a little absurd.

While their games were also good, they also appeased more to casual gamers than their own fans...that is why a lot of Bethesda game fans think Morrowind>Oblivion>Skyrim. Similar thing with Fallout. Their older games had some degree of RPG complexity which made it more RPG. Their newer games got progressively worse as they toned down the creativity and complexity for simplicity. I mean I love Skyrim for the mods and I guess the graphics and I like the game but the quests were boring as hell, the magic system was as bland as vanilla and the character creation was simply just aesthetics. I kinda always felt cucked by them as a long term fan of theirs. They only ever appeased the casual audience.

@@valen9835 Bringing up Crysis is abit misleading since the game was and is heavily unoptimised . It ran like crap on systems back then whereas today it is very much playable with modern components. Doom 2004 however was pretty well optimized for the time and ran very well; unsurprisingly this yields to it being able to run on pretty much anything nowadays with smooth frame rates.
The Nintendo switch is much more capable than the original requirements for the game. That's not even mentioning code optimization that would allow higher frames to be achieved as well.
