I won't ever be buying another game from them and they deserve all the backlash but at the same time the people still sinking time and money into this ship need to go broke so they can't fund Bethesda and every other greedy publisher so they can stop ruining games.
Well it's gone from "millions of active players" to just 25,559 Players Online at this current time. Still too many, but a lot less than "millions" back from 2018. They're probably all whales though, so unfortunately this makes bethesda's tactic of squeezing more money out of them with this membershite, all the more likely to work. This is why we must try to keep up the negative stigma of the game and at the very least...make sure we don't forget fallout 76 whenever a new shiny bethesda game comes along next time for us to buy.
I don't see why people hate on others who play objectively bad games. They have fun, be happy for them. Of course these games aren't good, but we should be berating the companies themselves. Hell I had so much fun with Anthem, and I really hate that it failed. But in the end it's the greedy companies' fault.
there's literally no mutual incentive included in this membership, purely manipulative and one-sided. they were better off making this membership as another initiative for the creation club to seem less egregious (even though i hear that's a shitshow - it's wikipedia article verbatim reads that,"...it's a system of microtransactions"). from what i hear, fallout 4 and skyrim have dedicated fanbases - to think bethesda practically exclude any invitational incentive to those all-ready, screwed over fanbases for another premium. jeez louise, it seems like me never playing a bethesda game has shifted into a wise decision.
10:32 "For $100 a month..." Yong is so depressed to the point that he didn't even realise his mistake when said it or editing. But be even if Bethesda really was charging $100 doesn't even sound off to him anymore...
Oliver Von arx not really just take Borderlands 3 for example you have a full experience for 60 dollars. I paid 99 because I love the series but if you pay about 90 dollars you get all dlc too. There are many games that are lack luster and cost to much money I agree but those are bad companies. Nowadays you need to know which companies you can trust and wich are garbage. Bethesda is one of those companies where you really need to consider if you want to buy a product from. But there are others were you can buy without hesitation.
@@Manie230 It's not made for hardcore fans. It was actually really easy to pick up and play, so don't know where you're going with that. Don't care for the pre-sequel. The Cucklypso twins aren't threatening in the least so I felt no real reason to fight against them, hence why I really stopped playing. I'll go back to BL2 with my maxed out characters to have some actual fun.
@@YoMama2143 The problem is that that those running Fallout 76 have a boss and said boss has zero care for the "fans" and wants to see the Fallout 76 team meet the expected targets they have been given. Bethesda management most likely thought the game would be more beloved and has the revenue target set higher than what it should be and in order to meet those targets, the Fallout 76 sales and marketing team have decided to monetize the game without care for the consequences.
I'm not sure if the use of "sire" instead of "sir" was on purpose or not but it's certainly truthful. EA, Bethesda, and Activision think they can lord over the consumers and prey on us without a revolt forming. They are very, very wrong and we are steadily proving that.

Since the private worlds only allow 8 players on a single private server, it might allow to expand the storage. I wouldn't be surprised that they are so incompetent they can't even handle more players than that and had to nerf everything. Even Oblivion and Skyrim crashed if you put too many items in a single chest, I remember it happened to me. Or it's just bullshit and they're greedy bastards.
@@Texelion I think this shows how horribly optimised their games are, since there are MMOs, or other massive multiplayer games where players have pretty much infinite storage space, with no issues or consenquences on server performance.
Texelion 3D prints I’m pretty sure you can still access the unlimited stash in public servers too. So, it isn’t an issue of the number of players, it will break the game either way because my stash in Fallout 4 took a year to load at one point.

“Hey we didn’t make enough money when the game launched and I don’t know why, but hey, we found a new plan to milk you for a sub par game that’s used the same engine since we started”
As a lifelong fan of the fallout genre, all I had to hear is the first 3 seconds of the announcement presentation when they said 'online only' ... which meant they wanted to lock players into a situation where you couldn't mod, thereby letting them microtransaction everything to death. This has been a shit-show from the first word. I've bought all the other Fallout games for pretty much every platform I could, not this one - they can keep their online-only bullshit. I look forward to seeing what whoever buys the IP off of them thinks up to do with it once Bethesda is finished driving it into the ground.
5 months from now : "Bethesda is quintupling down on their bad ideas, now with a microtransaction feature that charges you $3 every time you start the game"
To me, this just reeks of “we need to absolutely milk the shit out of everyone who is still playing this game because that number is dwindling rapidly.”
I mean I don't want to destroy your hopes but I mean should we even give a shit at this point? It will be nothing short of a miracle if it's just a normal release without all this horseshit.
Fallout and The Elder Scrolls are dead. They'll be online only, forcing paid mods through the creation club, and of course they'll be copy&paste developed with code from earlier games, which Bethesda themselves have confirmed.

"That damn blizzard getting free press... LAUNCH THE SUBSCRIPTION FEES!"
I think this is the first time I've seen Yong so speechless that he was barely able to do his iconic outro...damn Bethesda, he broke him :(
It's been a really rough month, I'm pretty sure he'd rather not having to report on 3 scandals a day, but hey...
It's possible to break Yong! This is scarier than live action Sonic joining the live action Cats movie!
Even before Fallout 76 came out, and it had been announced, my comment to a friend of mine was, "No CBBE, no sale".
“Oh, Bethesda”
Sounds like one of those 5 minute shorts where the main character does something stupid and supporting characters say that to wrap up the episode
"Oh Bethesda, what are we gonna do with you?" *Laugh track plays*
*End Credit starts rolling*
Ripping off your cuuustomers!
GOOD TIMES!!!
