    This is my second time trying this recipe, and I did better this time. I used equal parts, red, hard wheat, and splet grain and some olive oil, and a little bit of honey. OMG it is so soft like you won't believe it and I am still a bewbe in this freshly milled flour bread making business. I thank you so very much for empowering me to do this!! My husband is singing my praise and I owe it all to you ❤. Much love.

    Oh my goodness - thank you so much. I made it exactly as you directed and it turned out exactly as you said. In your pictures it looks like a fairly heavy bread, but it is actually lovely light and fluffy. We are so tired of the disgusting bread in the little town we live in - no selection. It is full of trans-fats, preservatives and sugar. This is Just beautiful fresh lovely bread - just as it should be. However, there is one very bad part you did not warn about!! The bread is so delicious it was all eaten in a couple of hours. Now I am going to have to make more - he he. Philip

    I just make this bread today exactly as you demonstrated and it turned out amazing. I tried 3 other bread recipes from other channels before and they were not good, I thought it was because of my poor baking skills. I was about to give up on baking my own bread forever but decided to try your method as a last chance. The result is astounding - I keep looking at this bread saying, „I can’t believe I made this. I actually made this bread.“ 🤓It looks like a real bread from a bakery, but tastes much better. Thank you for this!!

    • @Shoofly000
      @Shoofly000 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can’t make sourdough without some type of yeast. If you don’t want to use packaged yeast, then you can buy fresh yeast. If you don’t want to do that either, then you can try making a fermented sourdough starter. It only requires water and flour but you can ferment it in a week and add it instead of yeast in your dough. You’ll find many recipes on TH-cam.

    Thank you very much for the lovely video. Just 2 questions.
    1. I make my bread as often as I can. But I was told that if salt is put in contact with yeast, it could kill the effects of yeast. But your bread came out beautifully 😍. So does it have that effect?
    2. About the dough stored away in an airtight container in the refrigerator, how long can we use it for.
    Much love. And Thanks again ❤️

    • @laypyu
      @laypyu 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @skinnyrecipes
      @skinnyrecipes  6 ปีที่แล้ว +58

      Sweetz, I know that salt kills yeast so I made sure that the yeast is activated before adding salt. Been baking for about 24 + years now so I guess I know a thing or two about baking. Yeasts are single cell fungi. They feed on sugar and carbohydrates, so I made sure they are activated and then added salt and wheat flour (carbohydrate). I used a really large bowl and hence it may look that it has not risen well. I have been sharing bread baking on insta stories, pls feel free to check them to understand more. Thanks for being here.

    i loaf od regular plain white bread where i live is (get ready to faint) FIVE DOLLARS!!! from the cheapest brand, yet, im able to get 1kg of whole wheat flour that is enought to make from 2-3 loafs for 1 dollar and uma pack of yeast that cost 10 dollars but that also lasts forever, i was buying two loafs of bread a week, this is going to save up so much money, also, is the first bread recipe that has worked with me, i was making this with so little will since all the other 9999999 million recipes failed, but after the 3 hours and i saw my brad looked exactly like yours and when i took it out of the oven and i saw that looked really similar to yours, i got so happy, i cutted a slice and added some peanut butter and blueberry jelly on it and OMG its soooooo good, i amost never comment on youtube, let alone come back yo a video almost after 5 hourrs of seeing just to say it works, you guys, if your reading this make this bread with no fear, follow the recipe at risk and ull be fine, believe me, if im the clumsiest person in the kitchen and i did it , then u can too

    Thanks this is useful. I cook whole wheat flour and stopped adding salt. I add a small amount of sugar but want to see if I can get away with zero sugar. I remember trying it in the past and the bread not rising as quickly as I want. We'll see :)
