Dude, this TOTALLY worked on my Samsung S10e and it's not as old as your old tablet omfg. I can't use my computer to stream because it's incredibly slow so I use my phone with Streamlabs for Android and THIS just saved me. I've been using the Xbox's mirror screen app to stream but I won't be exposed to its lag anymore!!! Many many MANY thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah this was more impressive than my old $900 laptop with a graphics card and everything. I'm also on the s10e and I can record 1080p 60fps 30 mb bitrate just fine and looks just as good as my gaming rig. No need to destroy my SSD in order to record gameplay, I don't mind breaking a phone that's only 200 in comparison. Also I can now record gameplay when I'm out at a homies house.
That's very interesting as I tried to do the same thing with my phone, which happens to be an Huwaei Honor. I wanted to take the hdmi output from my Panasonic camera as I film rugby and stream it live through SLOBS for android, and it didn't work. I am going to try it with my old Samsung and will let you know the results. Thanks for this as I really didn't think it would work, hopefully I will have a better result with the Samsung.

If i understand you question - You want to record your mobile screen onto your PC via OBS? If this is the case you need to get a mobile to HDMI Adapter please check for your phone for right model like this amzn.to/2Dvh8Lj then the HDMi cable to the capture card to your PC. This should work. i will plan to test it when the phone to HDMi arrives.

I just use the same video capture card but it doesn't show the phone screen in steam labs it says HDMI connected but it is showing the screen as Samsung dex which you cant use to play games from phone to pc

@@RolandRencewiggP The reason I mention this is if you use a Hdmi to your mobile it will require more setup then a laptop. A laptop is plug and that's would be it. What phone do you have and what resolution do you wish to stream at?

In Generally not all the devices support external display ( it depends on the usb type for external display usb 3.0 minimum is required)...but all the iPhones, iPads and Premium Androids like OnePlus 7 and higher, Samsung Galaxy S8 or higher, Asus ROG Phone etc. Supports External Display

I thought that to but it seems a lot of people want to do what I tried to show in this video. The idea is to record gameplay from an external console to your phone. It does record audio actually if done correctly with MHL enabled phones

MOST PHONES WILL WORK.But you need to first go into the settings and turn on otg connections
IDK why you would need it but I pluged it into my phone (LG V40) and used USB Camera and it worked just great lol

My capture card has a type c connector can I use a type c to micro to connect to my phone and will it work that way.

When I connect this card to my phone, its screen is at 30 FPS and all games are limited to 30 FPS as well. Can you tell me why?

@@saranalp the screen recorder app allows you to select the audio you want to record. Select phone audio and it will record that for you

Why would you do that via a Capture card? You can just plug your phone into laptop or pc via cable to transfer Already Recorded video
This doesn't allow to record, just to watch in the smartphone
You would need to use the screen recorder app

I thought that but some people commented saying it works on their phone if it has MHL so i thought it was worth testing
It works on ipad though.. elgato and avermedia also making the same product to capture hdmi signals at a higher price and better quality. I was searching for a cheaper capture card to stream mobile games from my pc ... So I saw your review then I saw the mistake.
What phone do you have? Someone in the comments here said it worked with a Samsung. In this video I basically tested my phones and it didn't work either...
@@zulfphotography I use OnePlus 7... In Generally not all the devices support external display ( it depends on the usb type for external display usb 3.0 minimum is required)...but all the iPhones, iPads and Premium Androids like OnePlus 7 and higher, Samsung Galaxy S8 or higher, Asus ROG Phone etc. Supports External Display

@@zulfphotography yes I did that but the issue is more complicated than that, since no matter what size the screen is in obs, its still shows only one fourth of my phone screen

I thought that to but it seems a lot of people want to do what I tried to show in this video. The idea is to record gameplay from an external console to your phone. It does record audio actually if done correctly with MHL enabled phones
