    Dying to see part two

I can't decide if this is sarcastic or not! Either way, thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment - it is always welcomed! What would you like to see in a part two? I have the batteries to show being replaced, I also did a video on how to back up the software chips from the VX7000 you might like? I find it unlikely I'll be able to fix these VCRs unless replacement gears can be sourced.

@@TheRetroBristolian it is not sarcastic. I thoroughly enjoyed part 1. But seemed like there were a few more issues with the machine that would be interesting to see you troubleshoot. Thanks for the first video.

@@Filipjensen thanks for the kind words I means a lot. there are things I'd like to show, the battery replacement would be interesting, working out why the non working unit is blowing the fusible resistor in the power supply would be interesting also. but as I say without tracking down replacement gears sadly I don't think they will ever work again. There must be someone out there that can reproduce the gears, I'm not sure if 3D printed gears would work. I guess I need to look into that more. Take care 🙂

Hello, congratulations for the video, I also fixed my vx7000. It works well but the tape counter no longer indicates, there are only two bright dashes.
Do you know what I can check?
    Thank you.

Thanks for the lovely comment and congrats on fixing your VX7000 what was your original issue? if everything else is operational except the indicator that could be capacitors in that circuit perhaps. did you check what the voltage was like on your internal battery as well? Apparently odd things happen if that battery is dead. Please do keep me posted! Thanks again,

@@TheRetroBristolian For the repair I replaced some capacitors, repaired a mechanical gear with fast-acting glue and lubricated.
Now I have another one that I fixed in the same way, it starts playing but after a few minutes the signal skips and the screen writes "no connection", if I PAUSE and then PLAY it returns for a few minutes and then stands out. I'll have to find the area to check for bad capacitors.
