Where most carbon helmets simply re-skin a composite helmet, the AGV Pista Carbon helmet is constructed from the ground-up using everyone's favorite element. This lightweight beast of a race helmet is what Il Dottore is using to mount his comeback. We saw it first with the Pista GP, but not the Pista Carbon ditches the 46 graphics in favor of subtle blacked-out areas that help disguise the raw carbon seams to create a beautiful, even finish. The Pista Carbon is the current King of the Hill high-end race helmets and is sure to make everyone else at your track day "molto geloso.
Absolutely gorgeous. Not for everybody, i know guys who wouldn't spend 1,300 on a bike let alone that much on a helmet. Different strokes different folks. Personally I think it's beautiful and if I had the disposable income I would certainly grab it up. It would look badass on a blacked out street fighter

Bought this helmet in UK in ML 59-60, received a wrong helmet in size 57-58, was too tight and had to return it ( could not exchange for bigger as this was pista gp project 46 colors and out of stock ), there is no adjust-ability in this helmet size, because size M 57-58 has its dedicated shell size No3, why AGV is giving a freedom of adjust ability on just some shell sizes????, other than that, helmet is freaking awesome.

This was just a graphical overview checking out the carbon, not a review of the helmet. If you watch any of our detailed breakdowns they will mention weight. I'd link to that video here, but this model of Pista GP is 2 generations old and no longer exists. You can watch the latest Pista GP RR video if you'd like though.
how does this fit compare to shoei GT air have size XL ? is it more roundish or is it tighter fit? i wanna order one but i dont know how this will fit on me... thanks

wiwwee The answer is the same as for the Pista GP with VR46 graphics. It's a tough comparison for us to make, as X-lite isn't sold in the US. But, I will say that the AGV Pista uses more shell sizes (4 shells vs. X-lite's 3 shells) and the AGV is more compact. The X-Lite may be less expensive but is not as compact. -DrewZilla

Can you help me out wich size to choose? I tried out a Schuberth SR1 and i am certain it's a M (my head is 56cm) the S won't even fit. But the Pista GP size chart "tells me" to pick an S (i never used an S from any brand) thanks in advance
Schuberth's MD is smaller than most (56-57 as opposed to 57-58), so it makes sense that you'd drop down a size from what you're used to. You're also close enough that the MS could work, but it's always a good idea to err on the side of smaller with helmets. -Kraus-e

If you are looking for a helmet to use only on the track, then consider the Pista GP. If you want a helmet that's good for both the street and the track, then go for the Shoei X-14. -DrewZilla
Im currently using K3 SV, which gets the job done for shorter city rides, however Id like to upgrade to pista gp. How does this bad boy work on a naked bike considering airflow?
danilo Radulovic It's really optimized for a full tuck race position. The GT Veloce would be better for an upright naked bike. -DrewZilla

danilo Radulovic I wear this when riding my Diavel Carbon. airflow is great, vision is spectacular. Most comfortable helmet I've ever worn. Of course, it would be most suited for a full tuck position on a sportbike, but it works very well for me in a semi-upright to fully upright stance.
Whats the difference between AGV Corsa and AGV Pista?
The Pista GP helmets have pure carbon fiber shells compared to the SSL (Super Super Light) shells of the Corsa helmets, which are made of composite fiber, aramid and carbon fiber. -Hi-Viz Brian

will this fit similar to a shoei rf1200?
They have slightly different head shapes. The RF-1200 has a narrow intermediate oval head shape. The Pista GP has an intermediate oval crown with a cone shaped top. -Hi-Viz Brian

+Ninja HR The Pista is really designed for racing in a full tuck riding position. You may prefer the AGV GT Veloce or Shoei RF-1200 instead. -DrewZilla
