Exactly! Who the hell is he to say that if you don’t race then you don’t need the best protection possible. Thats one of the most asinine comments I’ve ever heard. Last I saw there were no cars coming in the opposite direction in any of those races. Street riders should be wearing BETTER helmets than racers not worse. Crashes on the street are often far far worse than in racing. Not many open gravel pits in the real world so you can just slide until you stop. Not many padded walls either.

Beautiful helmet other than the Big RR "Race Replica" lettering. for $100 less you can get the plain carbon. Not sure I would pay more for race replica lettering, even if it was $400 less I would still buy the plain.

Had a pista and an HJC 70st. The AGV aero was so much better that I sold the HJC and bought a Corsa R for my second helmet

what price would you put on for being safe. There are loads of idiots driving cars, suvs, and trucks. The rotational drop testing ought to be standard with the puncture testing. This makes helmets safer

I’ve seen people use the little cutouts in the pads as the headphone slots. I think that’s where they’re actually supposed to go. But I’m not sure. They seem to fit perfectly though
I usually wear size Small AGV helmets, while i tried wearing the AGV Pista RR and it did not fit (very small) Is the Pista size smaller than other AGVs ?

That all depends on which Arai model you have, as they offer different fitments for their helmets from model to model. However you can adjust the interior of this helmet slightly to fit your head, but not a large amount. Is FIM a higher standard than Snell? I’m just curious if they are testing for different types of things? Would this be considered the safest motorcycle helmet? Or would a snell helmet be safer for the street. I’ve heard it mentioned in multiple videos this helmet isn’t really meant for riding on the street. I’m mainly just curious what the consensus on the safest helmet for the street would be?
FIM is a newer standard than SNELL, which factors in rotational impact when testing. FIM is required for most top tier sanctioned races. As for street use: most people refer to this as a Track helmet since aero-features are best suited at higher speeds in full tuck positions. Also, the vents don't close and come with plugs you would need to put in to make rain/etc stay out of the helmet. You can use it on the street (a lot of riders do) but the main intention from AGV was to build a top tier racing helmet, not an everyday commuter.

The review should already be live, and there are a few key upgrades to fit/comfort. The only difference between the vented and non-vented versions is just that: the venting. -DrewZilla

You said in the video that this is the only helmet you can buy that is FIM rated but that isn't true. The Shark Race R Pro GP FIM carries this standard and was the first helmet to do so.
Or maybe he meant that this is the only helmet from AGV that is FIM rated. Not sure.

@@shadowv6794 I think he said both that and that if anyone got an FIM rated helmet from any other manufacturer, it's a custom helmet. Sounds like that may not be true unless the Race Shark mentioned is only available custom.
Apologies for the confusion, we were referring to the only DOT/FIM Helmet as the Shark is not sold in the US at the moment, therefore won't carry that DOT requirement as well. Probably not a deal breaker for a race level rider, but we should have clarified that in the video. Good catch. - Pat

Yes, you can still wear it on the street. Just keep in mind that the vent hole covers are just rubber plugs, so you can't just open and close them while riding. Consider the Corsa R, if you want easily-operable vents. -DrewZilla

Will a Cardo Packtalk Bold fit inside this helmet?
Yes, a PackTalk BOLD can fit. The speakers mount via an access slot in the backside of each cheek pad, so you remove the cheek pads, fit the speakers from the backs of the pads, then reinstall the cheek pads and manage the wiring. Hope this helps! -DrewZilla

@@rickynugraha9303 quality and weight are the two things I look for when buying a helmet. I wasn't impressed with the quality, as it is noisy and the rear neck cushion keeps coming out. As for weight, I usually wear a medium or large, but I had to go up to an extra large with this to fit, so weight increased. I also find the viewing range low, but that could be due to having a Bell Bullitt Carbon, which offers so much more range of view due to its design.and the bell is much more lighter. I use the bullitt all the time but hoped this, with the pinlock, could be my spring & fall helmet but I still ended up using the bullitt. Obviously, this is my own opinion, but every comment & review is :) Hope this helps.
@@MrHugawa hello there, first of all not the all helmets are for all of us...as i know some just doesn't fit that right to our head and thats why we can hear wind noise etc.Also the racing helmets as they told me , dont really care about wind noise because you should wear ear plugs when u are on track.

I’ve brought this to ride my new rocket GT and it’s very comfortable, I’m only a fair weather rider now so I’m happy with it and it looks cool and feels light and my head cool 😎
i mean. im not racing but i do want the safest helmet on the market. i like money but i like my brain intake more than i like 1400 bucks. and if i make it a full 5 years without an accident then id say a 280 dollar per year investment isnt too bad of a loss. shit thats less than my yearly gym membership. and if i do crash and it keeps my squishy noodle intact then it was well worth the price. and if i crash bad enough to die well then i dont care cus its not my problem anymore. in any situation i dont see too many downsides.

I had a hide side in a Corsa and rolled.. After having the Shell shatter on impact and their “ patent visor lock “ brake off . I really questioning AGV “Extreme standards helmets”. I’m lucky to be alive, but now have to deal with cognitive memory issues.

Stephanie Granados sorry to hear about your crash. However, AGV makes some of the safest helmets out there. This is not my opinion. It’s based on Sharp tests where AGV has the most 5 star lids of any company, including the Corsa.
No helmet can or claims to protect against all foreseeable impacts. Cracking of the shell and destruction of the lining is how impacts are managed. Carbon fiber will crack but so will fiber glass. Only thick polycarbonate tends to flex but that’s not necessarily a great impact management technique.
Hmm$1400... or you could buy scorpion full carbon lid for $400 that only weights 2.5lbs! agv how you say rip off in French 🤣

Looks dangerous in a crash unless that monstrosity of a rear spoiler breaks off upon impact.
In a crash the rear spoiler will break away, just like the Corsa R.
The difference is the spoiler isn't clear anymore. Spoiler is just darker lol than the gpr lol. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😝😝😝😝
