I think its more to do with the fact hes just at peace with who and what he currently is. He said in a current interview hes not in Memphis to babysit, but hes fully aware of what his purpose in Memphis is.
      Quite refreshing actually.

Just the sheer strength he has shown throughout his career fighting grueling injuries and proving so many times he can still ball with the best of them, changing his style to be able to stay in the league for so long, it's crazy. The confidence was there since he came in the league and has never faded away. There's no one like D Rose.

Now obviously i dont think i would have been good enough to go D-1 or anything but i stopped playing because of nagging injuries. Man this video is tuff. Still can’t believe it’s been over a decade from when he won MVP.

Chicago kids of the 90s had MJ to look up to. We had D Rose. Dude meant so much to this city. I really hope he retires a Bull and they retire his number.

Derick Rose, Greg Oden, Brandon Roy this 3 are my biggest what ifs, its just sad how their potential was taken by Injury, for someone who witnessed his greatness its really heartbreaking, I just hope D Rose somehow get a ring before he retire

Surprised you didn’t go into more detail about that Minnesota stop. He had a good showing in the playoffs against the rockets and had his first healthy offseason in years which led to him really transforming his game which is basically the reason he’s still here today.

I remember I got liek 4 or 5 separate editions of the SLAM magazine with the cover reading: DERRICK ROSE is BACK, and he is READY for a RING!! only to see him tear his knee up again

The way we embrace this man speaks to highly of the NBA community. A lot of other sports would clown a guy like this, but we almost always wrap our arms around him and appreciate what he gives us

It's impressive what Derrick Rose has done in such a short amount of time. O guy was spectacular. You don't see anyone in the current league with that technique and speed.

That was incredibly painful to watch but I remember at practice going to the change room wit the boyz at seeing D rose dropped 50 on the wolves and it was so legendary, one of the best point guard primes ever and the most tragic to uplifting journey in NBA history!!!$$$$$
