Here I go through all the instances showing that the basketball Gods HATE Kevin Durant.

It's quite a fucking disgrace that at a point in time KD was winning games in Brooklyn (small win streak, even) with lineups that consisted of him and 4 rookies on the court at the same time while Harden and Kyrie were out but let Durant be injured and none of those two goofballs can stand to hold the team down for a few games. KD has been so unlucky since they traded Harden in OKC. People often disregard context surrounding the rest of his OKC career due to hate. Really seems like he sold his soul for those 2 rings and man, it might've just been worth it in the end.

After he left, it was gonna be very difficult to replicate his success there because every situation is not perfect. However, due to the hatred he received for joining them, a lot of people were expecting him to MAKE a perfect situation on another team, which was not gonna happen because not every team is the Warriors. The basketball gods saw KD joining the warriors and decided he needed to be punished

It's got nothing to do with basketball gods and everything to do with bad career decision-making. He's the one that chose to leave a perfect situation and team up with a wildly unreliable player in an unreliable franchise. And I supported Kyrie for his vaccine protest, but it's completely undeniable that he hurt the team that year, not to mention the year before when he just ghosted on the team for a few weeks. That team was a MESS and it was primarily because the players thought they could run the show and not listen to anybody else, and KD cosigned that mentality 100%. Demanding out of Brooklyn was the only time I have ever defended Harden for his shenanigans, because at least that trade request made sense given how utterly unreliable Kyrie was at the time and the abject lack of leadership that squad had. I think that the best player on the team has a responsibility to LEAD men, not just ball and KD has refused to carry that torch at every team he has been at, and that has directly led him to his situation now. That has nothing to do with luck and chance, and everything to do with personal responsibility imo.

I still love KD, I’ve been a die-hard fan since the OKC days. I also used to like Westbrook and Harden but have grown to despise both of them. Westbrook not so much in past couple years but it is what it is. Ibaka getting hurt was a big loss. That was our yearrrrrrrrrr

    I wonder why..
Lets see. He abandoned a homegrown championship contender to join the 73-9 dubs.
Then he abandoned a team he won 2 chips on to make a superteam..
Then that fell apart miserably, partially to his own fault, and he abandoned THAT superteam to join the Suns.. which then became a super team.
So.. why do the basketball gods hate him? They dont. Combining 3 big names doesn't just inherently work. They have to fit together. They have to have chemistry. They have to care about basketball.

I’m still a jaded OKC fan who’s never forgiven KD for his move to Golden State, so seeing him be seemingly cursed feels like some karmic justice. However, if he ever came back and helped us win a ring I would gladly squash that beef (hopefully Russ can ride our bench and get one too 🙏)

he is your organisations best and greatest player ever he doesn't one tip need to redeem himself. you should have absolutely no beef with him but be greatful for him. there is still organisations that have never had somebody the caliber of kevin durant play for them.

Kyrie was the only player in the league that wasn't able to play home games with out being vaxed even though unvaxed player from out of state could play there. Hmmmm Kluthc Sports client Ben Simmons was traded for Harden. And even though he didn't play a game all season and they did a physical before the trade he claimed to have back pain. All those things sounds like sabotage to me

They built this superteam just for jokic to send them home. My lakers aren’t winning another chip until jokic decides he’s done with basketball and goes back to his horses.
