  • This lesson covers the rules for geometric means, then tackles two similar triangle problems which use those rules. However, Yay Math teaches the lesson in a way that removes any need for memorization, and turns the problems into easy to understand logic puzzles. Hope you like the method, YAY MATH!

    I'm a home school mom and my daughter takes geometry outside the home. I sit in the class so during the week if she needs help I'm there to help her. Love the way you make it easy to understand. Thx

    My geometry teacher, Mr. Sagman, is probably one of the worst teachers I have ever had. He thought us this in such a different and difficult manner that i got a 65% on his quiz on this, the test is coming up and I am soooo thankful I found this video!! Thank you so so so much, I finally understand this. You are a life saver!!!

    Your videos have helped me to understand geometry when my math teacher just bores me. Would you be able to make a playlist with your videos that are in order of when you teach them? This way I can maybe watch a video before class so that in class is a review and clarification of what I learned.

    Thank you so much!!! I finally get it!!! I have watched so many videos in TH-cam and still couldn't learn it, but I learned it clearly and effectively in your video! Thank You!!! :D

    So glad to see someone else teach geometric mean like this!!! It just makes so much more sense(is easier for the students) with similar triangles instead of memorizing rules that mean nothing to them! YAY GEOMETRY :)

    How did you come up with the numbers to compare the boxed number to?
    Like you compared 2 with 1 and 4. Then you compared 2, 6 and 18. But how did you get those original numbers 1 and 4, and 2 and 18.
    I'm sorry, I'm horrible at clarifying my question.

    Enjoyed this video! Thanx. And I have a question, isnt it related with similar figure? I feel like it should be under the supposition : "These 3 triangles are similar figures" with some simple proof like by AA. Then we can follow. It is first time to watch your lecture so I am confused now? :) help me haha thanx!

    • @jmpsaved
      @jmpsaved 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Look for relationships, they need to have something in common. Like hypotenuse to long leg of one triangle equals hypotenuse to long leg of another with the variable having to wind up diagonal from each other as it would in my example.
