McDonald's in Russia was NOT nationalized. McDonalds sold their chain in Russia to a private investor allowing him to copy the menu items but he could not use the copyrighted names. So Big Mac became the Big Burger. People who have tried both say the food at the Russian "McDonalds" is now similar but not as good as the original McDonald's.

Mr. Sadler's analysis is enlightening. So far we watch China's aggressive posturing in the South China sea as designed to distract US forces from entrenching in northern Philippines to defend the southern portion of Taiwan. The US has anticipated this and strengthening its bases in northern Philippines. . The logistical requirement for China to maintain a substantial naval force in the South China sea is staggering. They will run out of fuel, ammunition and vessels in a protracted war in the South China sea.

No1 wants to be a part of China, they just get invaded by China, and the Chinese take over since then they have way more troops and seem like an unbeatable superpower, so they don’t face much resistance. Then they stationed troops, weapons, and vehicles & aircraft there as if it was their own country. So they r basically there until China makes the mistake of going to war with the USA or one of their Allies that the US has a defense pact wit. If that happens then China will suffer a horrible defeat and if those countries want their autonomy back, they will have to throw the Chinese out during the war or right B4 it ends while they r distracted. After all the PLA is not a professional army and will most likely run if they r out gunned & attacked without warning.
The Chinese ppl wont put up with heavy casualties either since they only have 1 male child or 1 female for their 1 child thanks to their 1 child policy. Parents aren’t gonna B happy that their 1 child, that is their whole world, is wasted for things that aren’t theirs and really only important to the thugs in power that constantly pass laws and other such selfish BS that no1 on earth should have to waste their life abiding by so some criminals can continue to commit crimes against humanity in their push for power and their fantasies of world domination.
They tried to invade Vietnam & steal one of their islands or something and got spanked by the Vietnamese for trying to steal from them. The Chinese actually attacked a few different countries since the CCP took control of China from the nationalist after WWII ended & they retreated to the island of Twain which they recently got hanks to the USA beating Japan in WWII and making them give up lots of land and territory, among other things.

An analogy I use to represent America’s dilemma is a football game. If you were the “American football team” it’s like you were the away team and China is the home team. But the thing is the Chinese football team can pick the game time and you can only have your special teams outside the stadium ready to play. Furthermore you have to travel from New Orleans to play the game in LA whilst only having 2 to 3 minivans transport the team in multiple trips. To make things even more difficult another team in China’s athletic district can all of a sudden have some of their players come play for China in the game.

Other than U.S. islands and Alaska I don't want the Jones act changed. Ships will not win modern wars since the mass production of the anti ship missiles, but we still need to control the movement of stuff from other countries. The Jones Act was also intended to not repeat the naval situation the north and south had during the civil war and not just WW1.

    • @TheeJerseyDevil
      @TheeJerseyDevil หลายเดือนก่อน +2

No the Jone’s act has really hampered things for us in this country. It’s probably the main reason why we can’t really use oil that is drilled in America. There are also other drawbacks that hurt us as well because of the Jobes act. It didn’t have the effect that they hoped it would; they need to change it or reword it for that reason. Maybe allow 2 stops if not crewed by an American and mostly manned by Americans. That would help lower the cost of oil/gas for us as we could finally ship oil drilled in Texas to other parts of the U.S. since right now they can’t because of the Jones Act.

The ROC (Taiwan) has an 11 Dash Line and claims more territory than the PRC. So America is upholding the claims of the ROC against the Philippines, Japan and Vietnam amongst others. Despite the transition of power to the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in 1949, the ROC continues to assert its claims based on the original 11-Dash Line. The ROC maintains a significant presence on Taiping Island (Itu Aba) in the Spratly Islands, which serves as a key point of its territorial claims. The ROC’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has repeatedly stated that Taiwan has sovereignty over the archipelagos and surrounding waters within the South China Sea. It is more complicated than this discussion evolves the discourse. As far as the Jones Act is concerned just ask Fat Leonard how to resupply the South East Asian naval fleet. America does not even have a decent Merchant Marine. Just go home and look after Americans. It is too late.

China has a lot of internal problems - massive unemployment, its government workers not getting paid (8 or more months) they are bankrupt, the repercussions of COVID-19 lock downs, industries like steel and real estate going bankrupt, and now some civilian uprisings in some provinces. Even the youth are dissatisfied with the 60 hours + work week and are doing the " lying flat movement" which they no longer put the work ethic or work. Xi-Ping is running out of time if the population goes into complete revolt and massive repression - he cannot fight an internal civil war and external war, in his last speech on January 1, 2024 - he insists on reunification with Taiwan no matter what. He has imprisoned, killed, etc. any party member that has come against him. Notably the Shanghai revolt of COVID-19 and how shocked he and the communist party were when we heard on videos “Down with Xi-Ping and the Communist Party”.
He needs to invade before Donald Trump is in power, if not his window of opportunity will fail. He knows Trump will NOT tolerate China's aggressions like Biden and put massive tariffs on Chinese products.
For me it is not the Philippines' aggression as the spark, another scenario does not consider is that most people do not know that Taiwan has citizens on an island very close to the Chinese mainland. You have the Mastsu, Wuciou, Kinmen, and Pengju island. These all belong to Taiwan and have their citizens which they are very close to mainland China. Ferry transport along with shipping of goods from Taiwan is critical to these islands. I see China blockading these islands and commerce from Taiwan. Taiwan will NOT tolerate this and with China blockading that Taiwan strait and seeing either its citizens imprisoned or killed in these citizens - I think China will try to capitulate Taiwan to surrender but will Taiwan surrender at the cost of some citizens in these islands? This is a plausible scenario and then of course, if not then all can cascade into war - I see Japan, Philippines, Australia, and the USA then getting involved.

Listening to these guys, meaning American military insiders, is being drawn into their world view, from Washington DC, and acceptable corporate media. I'm more interested in the Chinese perspective, which is certainly going to be more flexible, less interested in the kinetic conflict that the M-I-C wants, and likely to outlast any US presidential administration. I used to like your channel (I lived in Shanghai) but I find it too biased, now.

Anyone living in South East Asia wants a war have got to have his/her head examined. Playing armchair experts are just shooting the breeze. Some countries love wars because wars are good for their arms industries. Ukraine and Gaza to name a few are good examples of the horror of wars. There are plenty of others still recovering from their past wars. ☝️☝️☝️

China seems to be taking a more consillitory approach in recent weeks. Apparently their economy is tanking. Xi may be realizing that an exporter cant afford to alienate his customers like he has been doing. Also Russia's war didnt work out as intended. If allied nations and tycoons could coordinate a boycott and if necessary an embargo, this would be the surest way to avoid war. Prosperity makes way more scence for China than warfare.

I know ur Not some communist Chinese drone that thinks they R strong enough to take on the World’s most powerful Navy, Air Force, & Army. Most Everything in China falls apart or doesn’t work properly, because it’s a communist country which makes them not able to make things as good as normal democracies do. It’s because of how communist countries work. China being the most affected at that since corruption is a huge feature in communism, but it’s much much worse in China❕
No1 wants Chinese weapons and the few countries that were gifted military equipment from China, along with the few small countries or rebel groups that did purchase military equipment from China, have all regretted it.
In fact there was a rebel group in one of the South American countries that bought some equipment, the Chinese version of Humvees, they were using to bring the troops to where ever the head of the country was and the whole line of vehicles got stuck on the way because the lead vehicle or 1 of the ones in the front of the column got stuck because their front left tire got stuck on a curb and broke. Then when they realized they couldn’t fix it, they left it and when they finally got to where they were going, they tried using one of the vehicles to ram the gate down and it failed lmfao 😂😂😂😂😂
I saw the video it was hilarious and not surprising because the Chinese communists r not as capable as the Soviets were, but even then they still had similar problems because they mostly lied about everything just like the Chinese do as they r basically a carbon copy of the Soviet Communist Party. Thats why they r a Marxist Stalinist Leninist regime. Stalin was just a thug who murdered his way to controlling the Russians & the communist Chinese leaders r basically the same, at least this Xi and some of his predecessors, but they were smart enough to know that if 1 person was leader for more then a couple terms that it would seriously weaken the country and kill millions of its own ppl (aka slaves as only party members r citizens and everyone else is just another resource for the party to exploit (just like slaves)).

Greetings from Quincy, Massachusetts. Thanks for this video. I watched it all. 29:50. Energy is a big issue, but I suspect food is a bigger issue. I looked again at that issue closely a few months ago, and wondered what CCP planners were thinking. Don’t they understand the effects of a war on multiple customers/multiple suppliers of agricultural products worldwide? If world GDP were to drop by 10%, it’s hard to understand what would get accomplished by an invasion of Taiwan. It is not predictable yet what agricultural exporters might do given an unnecessary-to them drop in business. Yet, the rhetoric out of Beijing makes some of us take the talk seriously.
