India is building a big Naval base on Nicobar island very close to the busy strait of Malacca to not just protect its own maritime interests but also monitor entry of Chinese navy ships in Indian Ocean.
Btw within a few months of Galwan incident India airlifted more than 50,000 of its troops and put in face to face against Chinese PLA. They also very quickly placed crack units at the top the mountain tops overlooking Galwan valley to monitor and counter Chinese incursions. India will NOT be bullied by communist china.
Yes India is deepening defense relationships with Philippines and Vietnam both countries which are constantly bullied by communist China.

    • @TheGrimStoic
      @TheGrimStoic 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

CCP is a bully - and bullies thrive on everyone's desire to 'just get along' - pacifism can't be the long-term play here. But on their own, brave Vietnamese and Philippines are very disadvantaged. ASEAN has been very effectively used by CCP to have a stranglehold on all the South China Sea nations.

Our soldiers weren't necessarily genetically adapted to the mountains but we've been in mountainous battlefield for half a century by now. I'm not talking about small mountain range but the highest and the most lethal mountains the Himalayas. So it's kinda natural that our soldiers are way better in the mountains then them. We also maintain the highest battlefield in the world(the Siachen) with Pakistan. So we do have a lot of experience in mountain then them. But to an extent what the Chinese lack in experience in mountain fighting they make up for it in terms of technology and overall defence developement but still India fares far better for right now. Hope this helps.

Are you talking about 2020? China is not like India. We do not allow rumors to exist, especially on major issues. It is cruel and heartbreaking to talk about the casualties of both sides. I remember that China announced that four PLA soldiers died heroically. But the number of casualties of the PLA announced by the Indian media is several times or even dozens of times this number. I just hope that Indians with a little bit of rationality will believe that the reports of the Indian media are exaggerated. Putting aside the casualties of both sides. Let's look at the prisoners. No one of the Chinese People's Liberation Army was captured by the Indian army. But many Indian soldiers were captured by the Chinese People's Liberation Army, including two Indian officers. It is clear who is stronger and who is weaker between the Chinese and Indian armies. If you use your brain, you will know that if the Indian army caused heavy casualties to the PLA, would our PLA let the Indian prisoners return to India alive? No, we will hand over the bodies of the Indian soldiers to the Indian government. This once again proves that ordinary Indians have been living in false information. In 1962, if India had a little understanding of the Chinese people and the combat effectiveness of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, it would not be shocked when India failed.

For good or otherwise and like it or not China has exercised control over Tibet since the Yuen Dynasty (since 1247). The degree of control varies in accordance with the strength of China in which particular period of time. For your education the China-Tibet relationship didn't start in 1949.
It is one thing that China has had control over Tibet over a significant period of time but you can't ignore another fact that no countries in the world has ever recognized Tibet as a sovereign nation in contemporary history or treated Tibet as one but recognized China's sovereign over Tibet.
The British Raj had drawn lines on map (McMahon, Johnson and McDonald) and every time GB (when her empire was at its height) asked China (was very weak at that time) to adopt those lines rather than simply asked only for Tibet's approval.
That would not be the case if GB had recognized Tibet as a sovereign nation.
Why was Tibet so treated not only by China but by others including the most powerful country at that time?

@@mingmuyiyang8615I find it rather ironic that you deem India’s understanding of war as being “too narrow,” yet you yourself display a rather “narrow” or rather a selective understanding on what constitutes “war” and “armed conflict.” The Sino Vietnamese war of 1979 was followed by a series of sporadic armed conflicts between 1979 to 1991, not a general state of war.
If I was to use your rationale (since you consider the ten year period following 1979 as a “war”) both India and China have been in a state of war since 1962 since there have been subsequent clashes between the two armed forces in 1967, 1986-1987 and continuing into the 21st century.
Furthermore I wouldn’t discount the armed forces of India. Granted in a conventional war between the two, China would ultimately win, but it would be a Pyrrhic victory since losses would be great on both sides. The arsenals of weapons that both nations have would guarantee serious losses. India simply isn’t a reflection of 1962 and it would be naive for any Chinese person to think otherwise since complacency and contempt usually lead to unwanted surprises. (Ukraine and Russia is one such example). Even in 1967 the Indians gave the Chinese a bloody nose, which is why the Chinese rightfully ignore that episode in this ongoing border dispute.
I understand Chinese feelings of superiority and contempt for Indians given the wide divergence in economic terms, however militarily i wouldn’t dismiss India so easily. Personally I wish the two would just “get along” but unfortunately a major armed conflict will probably occur over the next 20 years or so.

Instead of giving loans trapping countries, India always consider helping partner countries through grants and aid, be it Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives or Sri Lanka. Also, India is not like selfish western countries which was very much visible when India exported vaccines free to many countries during covid period. The west were tacking care of themselves and never bothered about others. Unfortunately, India has certain political parties who works for outsiders than for India.

After the 1967 conflict ended, the four-day "67 conflict" soon caused controversy in India because India failed again this time.
However, in order to appease the Indian people, the Indian government actually beautified this conflict into a "great victory", exaggerated the number of Chinese casualties, and promoted it domestically.
Because the Chinese side did not enter the Indian territory near New Delhi this time, the Indians did not know how the battle was fought, so they believed the government's lies. Anyway, the Congress Party achieved its goal of using the conflict to strengthen its position.
Behind the scenes, the Indian army has since become more aware of the depth of China's strength. In the 20 years since this time, the Indian army has never taken the initiative to provoke on a large scale on the border again.

China's war of resistance against Japan lasted 14 years, the Chinese civil war lasted 4 years, the Korean War lasted 3 years, China's self-defense counterattack against Vietnam lasted 2 months, and China's border war with Vietnam lasted 10 years. India's understanding of "war" is too narrow. We Chinese believe that India has never experienced a real war. In 1962, in the eyes of the Chinese, it was not a war, it was just an armed conflict between China and India. In 1962, the short armed conflict of only 32 days continued India's nightmare for decades. What makes the Chinese feel funny is that a border conflict has turned India into a "Battle for the Defense of the Capital of New Delhi".

    • @LongMuyang-do5rs
      @LongMuyang-do5rs 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@Ms-tk2tn I hope Indians will read it carefully and experience it with their hearts. The huge difference in the founding of China and India is destined to be the biggest difference between India and China. Just look at the modern history of the two countries and you will understand. India was colonized by Britain for more than 200 years. In 1947, Britain experienced World War II, its strength declined greatly, and its status was replaced by the United States. India took the opportunity to gain independence through "non-violent non-cooperation". In other words, India's independence has not experienced the test of blood and fire. Such an independent country has no cohesion and willpower, and no national identity. Now let's talk about China. Since 1840, the Chinese people have been living in dire straits. Various disasters and wars have followed one after another. At that time, China was very poor and backward, and suffered all kinds of humiliation. Including the cession of Hong Kong and Macau, Taiwan became a Japanese colony, the burning of the Old Summer Palace by the Eight-Power Allied Forces, and the subsequent comprehensive and brutal invasion of China by Japan. In 1931, Japan launched a full-scale invasion war against China. From 1931 to 1945, the war lasted for 14 years. The Chinese army and civilians rose up to resist, fought bloody battles for 14 years, and suffered 30 million casualties, but finally won. Do you know why China suffered so many casualties? There are hundreds of reasons. I will only give one example: when the Chinese troops encountered the Japanese army, it was often the case that if there were 100 Chinese soldiers in the battle, the Chinese soldiers only had 20 to 30 guns. The remaining soldiers would not give up resistance or surrender. They used machetes, steel forks, and wooden sticks to bravely fight against the machine guns and cannons in the hands of the Japanese army until they died. This spirit of facing death and never retreating is the Chinese spirit. 30 million casualties! Do you think this can happen in India? For India, there are zero casualties, because India's knees are soft. India will give up resistance soon. Do you know why there is "Nanjing"? Because of the desperate resistance of the Chinese army and civilians, never surrendering and never giving up. After Japan broke through Nanjing, it was first to vent its anger, and secondly to scare off other Chinese soldiers and civilians who were resisting. But all this not only did not scare off any Chinese, but further aroused the Chinese people's resistance. The founding of New China was a test of blood and fire. Do you know why the Chinese national flag is red? That's because the founding of New China was paid for by countless Chinese ancestors with their blood, and we Chinese will always remember it. From 1945 to 1949, there was a civil war in China, and the Kuomintang fled to Taiwan. Originally, the Chinese people thought they could live a long-awaited peaceful life, but in 1950, the Korean War broke out and lasted for three years. The Chinese Volunteer Army successfully resisted the US route to the north without air superiority, sea superiority, backward army equipment, and extremely poor logistics, and our price was the loss of hundreds of thousands of brave PLA soldiers. In 1962, in the eyes of us Chinese, it was not a war at all. First of all, the time was only 32 days, and secondly, from 1959 to 1961, China experienced the most difficult three years since its founding, and many people starved to death in China during these three years. In 1962, India's economy far surpassed China. The United States, the Soviet Union, and Britain all supported India. At that time, India implemented the "Forward Policy" and attacked China with elite troops. We Chinese really don't want to fight. The Chinese troops that fought with India in 1962 were ordinary border defense troops, not regular PLA. In China, soldiers are called "the most lovely people". There is a Chinese proverb: Without a country, there is no home. Soldiers are the backbone of the country. Thanks to our brave People's Liberation Army soldiers, who are always ready to defend the borders of the motherland. No matter how India's military develops, it can't surpass China. Whether in the past, present or future, China can always defeat India. This is determined by the history and culture of the two countries. The Chinese people pay attention to the spirit of dedication and sacrifice. Don't surrender, don't yield, fight to the death, and see death as home on the battlefield. It is a huge shame for Chinese soldiers to surrender on the battlefield, and the spirit of dying rather than surrendering is deeply engraved in the bones of every Chinese. These are not possessed by Indians. Therefore, even now or in the future, India will never be able to defeat China. Now, do you think India can stand in the world like China? Absolutely not.

A famous Indian general called Maj. Gen Dhillon once predicted before the 1962 war about the Indian army and the PLA - "experience in Ladakh had shown that a few rounds fired at the Chinese would cause them to run away". It is a huge shame for Chinese soldiers to surrender on the battlefield, and the spirit of dying rather than surrendering is deeply engraved in the bones of every Chinese. The Indian army is the worst army among all China's opponents.

Now the Chinese army is manned by conscripts from pampered single child family .They have the mentality of back-home-soon
Even in UN peace mission they flee on drop of a hat.
Corruption in army is acknowledged by CCP leader. For Indo Tibet border force and Indian mountain force the battlefield in LAC is their home terrain . They occupied hilltops to overlook the Chinese forces in a couple of days. Their training period is longer than the conscription term of Chinese. NO MATCH .

Indian soldiers are fast runners too. A famous Indian general called Maj. Gen Dhillon who predicted before the 1962 war about the Indian army and the PLA - "experience in Ladakh had shown that a few rounds fired at the Chinese would cause them to run away".
The PLA ended up so frightened by the fast running Indian soldiers that China withdrew after suffering a humiliating defeat, returned to India both her well fed POWs and powerful weaponry captured.
After witnessing how fast the Indian soldiers could run China dare not fight India in any war after the one in 1962 although Indians on TH-cam loves to name subsequent border clashes as wars so as to keep frightening the Chinese

It is one thing that China has had control over Tibet over a significant period of time but you can't ignore another fact that no countries in the world has ever recognized Tibet as a sovereign nation in contemporary history or treated her as one but recognized China's sovereign over Tibet.

Do I need to remind you about what happened to Chinese military during UN peacekeeping mission when they were under attack? You talk about showing strength and your military personnels could not even establish communication.
Every now and then, you magically pull out an ancient map out of your mythological ass and claim more parts of India and other countries belong to China. Your population can't even speak against your own government and yet your country claims to have freedom of speech.

@@Drpankaj.Mishraindia I hope Indians will read it carefully and experience it with their hearts. Since Britain defeated the corrupt and incompetent Qing government in 1840, the Chinese people have been living in dire straits. Various disasters and wars followed one after another.

Very well said. India has the guts to stand up against China like no other country, despite the fact that India lacks in numbers compared to China in respect to military hardwares. In 2017, India gave China a shock treatment by standing up against the Chinese forces and forced them to back off when the Chinese tried to build a road into the Doklam area, which is an Indian territory. In 2020, in Galwan Valley, China again played its dirty, salami slicing, territory grabbing tactics. Agian India stood up to challenge them. In a skirmish with the Chinese, India lost about 20 brave soldiers, not before taking down at least 30 of the Chinese soldiers. However, the Chinese govt covered up their loses to the world.
I just have one question for the Chinese, since 2020 they have amassed thousands of troops and all sorts of fighting equipment, built bunkers and roads, and many more things facing the Indian side. If China really has the guts, why are they just sitting there for 4 long years and doing nothing? Why aren't they attacking India. I bet they will never do it because China knows that India is not a pushover. They know that the consequences of a war with India will reveal to the world that they are just mouth piece and paper dragons. Jai Hind!

    • @WongPeter-tx7qq

Many Indians love to boost about how many more Chinese soldiers died in a border skirmish and the number of Chinese casualties they cited, truth or not, always far exceeded that of the Indian. And the higher the no of Chinese casualties over Indian the happier they become and they celebrated every such event as great military accomplishment.
They also like naming those border skirmishes as wars (er. 1967 war) to exaggerate the outcome when they were no more than clashes (if you do a Google search).
It seems that making China a real or imaginary enemy becomes a way for Indian to unite India as a country as there are so many internal diversities inside the country that Indians found very little to bound themselves as Indians.
A country that unites its people through pushing super nationalism leads to wishful thinking (call itself a super power when it is far from one) on the part of its people and turns them into warmongers
Or is it that the 1962 defeat has been tormenting the souls of these poor fellows that they had made every border skirmish which involved death of soldiers of both counties an occasion for celebration.
Anyway, it is weird for a population to be acting like that. It is quite unique but kind of sad.

So China always provokes India indirectly. Also Chinese people don’t like CCP and people are expecting democratic government in China. China may have greater advantage in economic terms but not in military terms. India was ruled by Congress party for more than 65 years and thus it fell behind China. Congress party has close ties with China now I hope understand the grand plan behind the indian economy falling behind China. Ever since BJP took incharge in 2014 Chinese dream to dominate the world are slowly getting faded one by one.
