Yes back in the 70s and the 80s my mother used to make them by the hundreds the yo-yos and then sew them together it made sort of a lacy quilt top

This is such a lovely mug rug. I can think of quite a few ideas for this bright and colourful circle in different sizes for different things. You could really get creative with this one. Not just a pretty mug rug.
