Don't you dare accuse me of forgetting about Link's Crossbow Training. I hope you are happy.
Nah, this is a rail shooter, not a FPS. You're guided on an automatic path like House Of The Dead.
I was thinking the same
its first person and you shoot
@@woafieah yes, so donkey Kong 64 also counts
@@lpnp9477 so many things wrong with your comment
Depends on the stage. Some are target shooting, some are on rails, and some you have full control of Link's movement.
I’m starting to get the thought that Link’s Green Tunic is being forgotten as well. I’m upset he didn’t wear it in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Super Smash Bros Ultimate. I seriously like the Green Tunic better and I don’t want it to be forgotten. That part of the Legend of Zelda series is not the same without Link’s Green Tunic.
Those are all the same version of Link though. It’s entirely possible that when we get the next Link he’ll have the green tunic.
Dont worry Man, the next Zelda game i doubt It Will be a breath of the wild type of thing, It Will defenitly come back.
There are like 7 different green tunics in botw and totk
bring back red tunic upgrade tbqh
1:13 Yes I do. And this is the reason why the Wii is one my favorite video game consoles. I always liked it even when there is barely nothing and I'm a bit disappointed that this didn't return to the Wii U and Switch. My favorite intro (besides Mario Kart Wii) is from Zelda Skyward Sword. This specific intro gives me goosebumps everytime I see and hear this intro and that's one of the reasons why I want to see this type of intros return in consoles.
Back to Links Crossbow Training. I had a Wii Zapper but I never had and saw this game. I didn't even know that this game exists for a long time.
I did NOT forget about this game. I got this solely because it was packaged with the Wii Zapper, I didn’t buy the Wii Zapper for this, but then never got any other games that used it. Lol
It's a really good rail shooter and i still like it. No fps though
I always found it interesting that Link's Crossbow Training used the original Gamecube layout of Twilight Princess rather than the mirrored Wii orentation, considering it shares a console with the latter version
I completely forgot about this! My mom loved it, thanks for reminding me of those long lost memories.
I REALLY wanted the full range missions to have been made a full game. Best use of the zapper in my opinion
This LIGHT GUN SHOOTER is so underrated. Thanks for talking about it.
"First Person Shooter" only insofar as some of it is in 1st person, and you shoot at things in it... A couple more proper terms for this game would be "On-rails shooter" or "Gallery Shooter", though it also has some honest-to-goodness 3rd person shooter sections.
Early ones good, Killswitch 2003 by Namco set Gears/Uncharted cover based. 7th gen odd greats (Legendary, Red Steel 2, Lost Planet 1-3, Vanquish, The Club, The Darkness 1&2, etc). problem! 1 mechanic memorable, otherwise cover based bore fests I still want to play.
There is a reason I talk forgotten ones not the series ones continued for a while longer like Borderlands, Halo, COD and do the forgotten is their good ideas left behind.
Let alone RIP dual wielding but is back in VR thankfully.
I love the atmosphere and choices of levels in ODST.
The old CODs/MOH are interesting how they control back then of standing to prone or leaning we don't get that same animation of feeling with modern leaning from cover or just aiming anymore.
Light guns went away after the Wii other than compatible ones for non CETs as well Carts were important to them besides the Wiimote fitting perfectly as a gap to continue them.
So you have some fair Time Splitters and others among some besides 1 mechanic forgettable games of PS3/360 and Ubisoft won't put Red Steel 2 on Wii in VR or on Switch. I love it best motion controls shooter/,beat em up.
There is a reason Bright Memory Incite or Titanfall 2 stood out with mechanics in their campaigns.
Or Metroid motion controls were good on Wii or
Some cool Japanese shooters Quantum Theory, Binary Domain, Front Mission Evolved, Vanquish.
The rest 1 good mechanic (Inversion, Fracture, Haze, etc. I want to play them but that's it for their mechanic not the rest couldn't care less) and all boring cover based shooters. Sure Army of Two, or some tactical ones but otherwise eh.
Rail shooters were good. Hosue of the Dead, Ghost Squad, Netf...... Gal Gun is a great series from PS3/360 to now.
It's a interesting but also boring era the more you research and buy them up cheap as no one wants them. :)
How I feel about 3D platformers by Indies now, too inspired, too boring, rather okay 5-6th gen platformers let alone racing Sims as well that were Gran Turismo clones not oh whatever boring ideas or business models or Outrun/Virtual Racing clones in the Indie spaces.
You got the odd COD/Halo/Crysis clones or something original but most times 1 mechanic is all their memorable for.
00:00 well i waa 4 at the time so probably playing with my hotwheels, building a vast train network with my wooden train set, watching TV / a movie going to school or playing outside on the swings in my mother's back garden. We didn't have a wii at the time all we had was a DS
Ahhh, I have the game. With the Wiimote attachment that I mainly used for the 007 game on Wii
It’s not forgotten just infamous (*Intense war flashbacks activated )
I vaguely remember hearing about it. Then it disappeared from my thoughts until now.
8:24 I think the obvious reason why Link's crossbow training did not do simultaneous multiplayer is because like you said the game exists to sell the Wii Zapper. I mean unless you buy two copies of the game to get two Zappers then you wouldn't be playing simultaneous multiplayer properly.
These days, most Zelda fans probably remember this as the game that Miyamoto told the Zelda team to make instead of Twilight Princess 2.
If you liked that play Sin and Punishment Star Successor
Got it for christmas, I’ll never forget it
I remember using the Wii zapper to play call of duty world at war. It was actually kind of cool although I kept getting my ass kicked in that game When playing online😂
I thought this video would be about that one Nintendo land game
This is more like rail shooter here. Also its more like a shooting gallery that we play at the fair.
4:07
i want the bottom right one that looks fun
I own and love this game
00:00 I was not a thing when the game was released.
just like me fr
I was probably in the bathroom shitting my pants realizing I might get a new Zelda game on a mainline console within a year!
No need for click bait. We all remember this. And it's not a FPS.
I remember I always used to joke about this game being pretty much worthless because I used to see it in the corner of GameStop for like 2 dollars
I would've bought it but even back then I knew I didn't really have any use for it, especially without the Plastic Not Shotgun
It's honestly a missed opportunity that this wasn't put into Arcades like the Mario Kart one, it would've been a better use of my credits than the scam claw machines lol
This is a really good game, imo.
I got this game a couple months back through eBay for about $10 I’ve played a bit of it but, it doesn’t really feel right to control maybe because I don’t have the zapper?
Nope, didn’t forget it because no one ever stops mentioning it
What is the game at minute 4:08? Please I need to know. Thank you!!!
This is the best Zelda game ever!
0:22 So… you mean everyone who enjoyed these game basically, which happens to be the majority of players? Wuh?
Calling people nerds because of a game being “overlooked” is a little preposterous and kinda out of nowhere if it was meant as an insult given how many people do that now.
At least someone remembers Link’s Crossbow Training however.
What about CFTKK?
Ever since I found out that we could have gotten a Majora's Mask-style sequel to Twilight Princess instead of Link's Crossbow Training I haven't been able to sleep properly. I will always hate this game. Always.
cool
I have this game and only played it for 2 rounds.... same goes for all my Wii games, huh, I wonder why?
rail shoota
I have a Wii Zapper... But I have no Link's Crossbow Training. :(
Also do people really call Majora's Mask overlooked ?
I still got this game in not unwarpped form on my shelf lol
Picked this game up at a swap meet last summer for like 5 bucks and like meh? I don’t even have the attachment so the game is awkward as hell to play.
This is a rail-shooter!!!
"FPS" yeah sure
I kinda remember. I just don't care.
i had this it was underwhelming .
