i’ve a question. How is payment handled. Is it all done electronically OR do you have to pay the vendor via with some Uber Eats issued card OR do you have to pay out of pocket
I had such a horrible first non-delivery experience with the app crashing and not navigating from the restaurant to the customer that I will probably never turn on the app again. I ended up having to cancel the order and returning the food to the restaurant.
This happened to me as well 😮. I had to reach out to the customer to get the address dropped off the order and then got with tech-support and they ended up canceling the order and said they are going to pay me, but it was just a horrible first experience.

I went back in the restaurant to ask an employee there if they knew what to do or if I was missing something. They check their screens and I had them look at my phone and app and they had no idea why it didn’t go on to the next step. The women there all have never seen this problem before. One guessed that maybe they canceled the order or someone else picked it up. I was there before the order was finished so nobody was there before me. No idea what was the problem so I gave the food back, canceled the order I think and went back home. Waste of thirty minutes.
I recently started driving for Uber Eats. In 4 of my pickups, I got to the restaurant but the UE map did not register that it found the exact location. It did not show me an "Arrived" button or even notification. It just thought I had to keep moving to some spot in the parking lot. This happened often when the restaurant was in a strip center like a Pizza Hut. In 3 of these cases I actually walked into the restaurant with my phone and the app still did not register that I was there or let me confirm with an Arrived button. One time, the map wanted me to drive or walk behind the restaurant through a dark alley so that I would be at the exact point where it thought was the front door. What is the secret to overriding the navigation screen and saying I arrived? Thank you in advance for your help!
Dude just did a delivery made 3 bucks lol but it was easy very close. But apartments so I got lost for a while. Then I had to enter their PIN number ? Trying to figure it out is stressful. 😣 and apparently she was texting me but I don’t know where that is ?????? Couldn’t access the text option.
@@HybridDolphin I have long since upgraded to e-bike sandal have a way more professional set up . But before I had a simple insulated camping back pack with drink holders . Wasn’t perfect but got the job done

Just started Or about to start today. Got online and got request. Only problem: it was for taking in a driver. But only interested in food delivery (for now at least) Finally realized settings and only left the box “delivery” checked. But nothing. So contacted support and asked if everything ok and only interested in food delivery and asked them to check if everything is good (since wasn’t getting anything) And the agent told me I had wrong app? And if only interested in food delivery have to register, do another background check (which took weeks for me because of new law) I was getting ticked! Finally they passed me to another agent/another department and they verified. And I was actually ok. That it was just no orders where I was. And to check the heat map. Maybe you have video of that? Maybe I need to be nearby (like even parking lot of restaurants?) Anyway this first attempt today went bad. So here I am checking videos.
Better or worse than Doordash? In busy city district with lots of restaurants open late and rich customers (Clinton Township, Sterling Heights, Utica MI)??

What do you mean by "the restaurant"? How would you know which restaurant might get an order? Is there only one restaurant in your whole town?

@ because the app tells you where it’s busy. It gives you restaurants that are “hot” at the moment. You should try out the app one day….

I recommend doing uber bike delivery, it seems more likely to get deliveries

If you live in a big city, it's usually always going to be like that with a vehicles wear and tear.
Small towns are usually worth doing delivery jobs especially if it's good tips all around 😉
