    I like that UberEats also uses face recognition to keep drivers safer!

    Sometimes you will be at a drop off and you will go to swipe to complete the delivery and they will flash another order right when your finger touches the screen and you won't have a chance to look at it, it's rare but has happened

    Question: I see statements that with Uber Eats you can deliver in any US market, but that is NOT the case. I'm in North Carolina and was told yesterday that I can only deliver in this state. To apply in another state will require losing my ability to work on my home turf. I explained the idea of traveling and working to no avail. Thoughts, Anyone?

      @@richardpidaniy6915 Thank you so much. This is good, up to date info. I like Uber Eats, but that's a huge negative. DoorDash is easy on this issue. I wonder if you can get pre-approved for a different market.

      I think it depends on the state. I originally applied to work in Texas before i moved and was shown I could only work in TX. I reapplied in my home state and was shown "You can work anywhere except PA, CA..." and a few other states.

    I thought the Acceptance rate for UberX and Eats has been made separate now? What are you referring to?

    • @GigginQuick
      @GigginQuick ปีที่แล้ว

      Not in my market. My overall acceptance rate is 15%, brought down by UberEats. I also live in a market that only shows you pickup point on the UberX offer screen, unless you’re willing to get your AR up to 85%, where they then show you expected time and direction. I work both Eats and X platforms, so I don’t have a shot at getting my AR that high, unless I want to lose money hand over fist.

    Trends and things changing. I recently quit my pizza del job part time fri sat nights as the past 3 years we have seen a huge explosion of new developments ,neighbourhoods, and well i think you get my drift of whos living there and their view on tip culture. 2 dollar per mile avg yes, time factor yes, careful on batch orders yes. 1 thing like to mention know the area, know that if its a good paying delivery, but going 12 miles away from the nearest restaurant, you have to dead head the miles to get back into resturant zone, and now the run might become un-profitable. Careful on shop and pay orders. Most of upfront fare and tip you see is based on a customer tip % wise, meaning if you go to a grocery store, and the grocery store is missing 5 of the 10 items the customer wants, and the customer doesnt want a substitute, well then that 50 dollar bill just dropped to 25.00 and now your 15 percent tip is now 3.75 as that is how it is factored in. Customer rarely reduces their tip as it states after the 1 hour, its the system that is now giving 15 percent of the NEW amount

    Very true, the highs and lows, she is right!!! I was making 200 a day this Mon, tues, weds, and then thursday I bombed out badly barely clearning 100 bucks for about 7hrs of time. This is a love hate thingy with these apps. I hope to get on more apps but DD is fun because I like shopping orders and alcohol orders and big food orders among the peace of mind of dealing with an app vs a normal 9-5 job with a boss.

    I get a $10.00 / 2.5 mile delivery
    7 items..
    I get to the restauant / pickup
    they hand me one item and tell me they forgot it in the 7 items delivery that was already picked up!
    I asked if they contacted the customer.. “no”
    I should have just walked out!!
    but business is so slow right now?
    I took the item in my car and called the customer.. no answer.. I realize I had just been screwed!
    I delivered and called uber.. I got $2.50 for the delivery of the one item. ( customer did pull the tip-can’t blame them.. tip twice? I don’t think so )
    I called the restaurant and they said uber allows them to do this?
    there are so many ways a driver can get screwed working for uber!!

    Oh just to let you know; A very popular restaurant in our city just announced that they were stopping the use of 3rd party delivery drivers because of their poor service and bad attitudes toward customers. Not a surprise. Anyone want to still go into the ride/share food delivery business. You will be doing so at your own risk. I like my job. I know how much and when I am going to get paid every 2 weeks. Yall can’t make the same guarantee, can you? Did not think so.

    # 21 you will not make the amount of money you are anticipating. There is a lot of the public that do not like the way rideshare/ delivery drivers conduct their business. There are many people who have gone to there local governments to regulate this type of business. We are having success in my city. Our city council is working to address our complaints. Those being exorbitant pricing, unacceptable customer service issue, theft of deliveries…. I don’t recommend this as a career or contract work. These companies are all getting sued by the drivers for payment issues and other problems. If you go ahead you will be doing so at your own peril.

    . DONT DO UBER EATS.

    • @ericwolfe8119
      @ericwolfe8119 ปีที่แล้ว

      I want to know how true your opinion is.
      I drive a shit subcompact for mostly UberEATS. I WANT to do Rides... just not in this car. I've done the drive for money thing for a while now, long enough to know a realistic miles per hour expectation and dollars per mile expectation.
      I don't drive people, but I infer from comments and TH-cam videos that people rides pay $1-1.30 a mile.
      Is that true? Please tell me it's not true. Because my dollar to mile ratio with EATS is 2+. I was saving to buy a Ride quality vehicle... but I'm not going to drive a $1 per mile anything!
