Just took all my CZs (6) apart and played with the ejector. Only 4 of them had any movement but ALL the slides went back on with no issues with the ejector stopping the slide installation. Over 2600 rounds total from me on them. 4 of them I bought used so I have no idea on actual round count. No issues on any of them with the ejector blocking the slide. Only had 2 failure to return to battery on first 2 mags on the P-09c Nocturne. No other failures/issues otherwise on any of them. Extremely happy with my CZs.
Glocks, especially gen4 do the same when putting the slide on the frames. Nocturnes need the ejector pushed forward to change from decocker to the safety. The ejector is stabilized by the recess in the slide when assembled.
Right I filmed a another video today with this gun and I mentioned that once it is engaged into the slide, it’s no longer mobile side to side only downward so I don’t think that it’s really relevant as far as how it hits the round but again I’m just trying to address Anything that anyone has mentioned as a potential concern of theirs and this one seemed relevant, but I’m with you I have had several Glocks and even a couple of Sigs that were the same way
My ejectors line up perfect with the slides on my p07 and nocturne . I 100 percent trust the nocturne after your video's and my hillbilly testing. Thanks
Judy checked my p-09c nocturne slide. It doesn't always slide right off (sometimes you have to jiggle it just a little) but the extractor does not hit when putting it back on. Only a box of 50 through it so far though.
I definitely understand your frustration. I just had to send back my new Springfield Echelon. When firing the slide would lock back almost every round. Mainly on the 17rnd magazines. I'd already bought 5 mags & Safariland als holster. I tried to find the problem, but to no avail. Good info, content, got a new subscription.
Thanks, great video! It can be seen that the geometry of the ejectors is really different. Maybe optimization of the flight path of the cartridges due to optics, which the original P07 did not have, otherwise I can't think of why it would be different. Plus, every part change incurs manufacturing costs, so why would they? Anyone having repeated problems with Nocturne could try installing the original ejector from P07 and we'll know right away. Of course, the ejector won't cause a slide catch problem. There are a lot of videos where there are glitches. Everyone is saying how reliable the P07 is. That's why I'm trying to find the difference in the parts inside and the ejector is perhaps the only difference. I am not dealing with the use of optics and light now.
Heres another something to think on. The chamber of a CZ pistol is not bored to SAAMI specs, rather is produced to meet CIP specs, the european version of the SAAMI. This can cause feeding issues with some American ammunitions, especially hand loads, as the overall length of ours is slightly longer. If this idea is incorrect please correct me. That being said the P09c example I own has been 100% reliable.
I guess so man, but I don’t know enough about what you were speaking about to make an educated assumption but because you brought it up, I will certainly look into that and see what I can find out. I’m always about learning new things are being further educated so I appreciate, the question. Thanks for watching and for commenting and be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
Right, and I believe I came to that conclusion and I filmed another range video that is not up yet, and I said in that video that I did not think the ejector once it was engaged into the slide, had anything to do with any of the issues encountered by the honest outlaw
If you have an optic on your nocturne and you didn't use the right screws, meaning the shorter optic screw above the ejector, the screw could come into contact with the ejector causing all kinds of malfunctions. Just fyi
I have had about 15 p07 and P09 pistols. Some had to move the ejector slightly especially when new. I do not believe this is an issue. My new Nocturne has the same thing. No issues with the nocturne. I believe and could be a guess that the slide stop spring may be the issue with slide locking back prematurely. I had a p01 with that issue brand new. Put the slide stop in with the slide removed and see if it is loose at all.
Check the extractor pin. Mine wasn’t fully seated and was being pressed on by the optic. Leaving the optic uneven and putting pressure on the extractor pin. Too of the slide front right of the optic cut.
In my profession, won’t bore you. When something goes wrong, first question. What changed? CZ took the P07 / P09 and tinkered with it. Probably minor things but something still changed. They also had to PPAP production and release new product, most likely riding on the 07-09 lineage. And then there are stacking tolerances. They will get it figured out, but there will most likely be pain. 😢
I don’t know if this is an issue or not, but it was something that several viewers brought up to me in the comment section so I figured I would address it in video. I personally do not think it is an issue because I took it to the range once again and will be putting up another video tomorrow And I think once it is locked or retained by the slide, it does not move side to side only downward which is normal and I am at 857 realms through this thing without a single issue so I honest to God don’t know what more to do I trust my life with it. Thanks for commenting and be sure to subscribe if you have not already
I think your're getting the ejector confused with the extractor causing the problems.. Ejectors typically don't cause issues.. It's the EXTRCTOR that does. An out of spec or worn exactor can obviously cause extraction issues, which causes faliures to EJECT, BUT it can ALSO cause alignment issues with the cartridge during feeding. The extractor fails to slip over the lip of the casing when stripping a round and binds up, causing a failure to feed, which is what the vast majority of Mrs Outlaws malfunctions were, if not all. Notice how she was slapping slide home over and over to chamber a round?? That had nothing to do with a failure to eject.
See when you start the comment out with you believe I am getting them confused thus questioning the validity of my entire video. It’s hard for me to read anything else or to take any constructive criticism from it. I am not confused nor did I confused the two in the video, the ejector is the piece that I was moving up and down and side to side that the slide slid over top of the extractor is the hook piece that runs along the right side of the firearm that extracts the spent casing from the chamber, and the ejector, which is the piece I was referring to that needed to be moved side to side or up and down is responsible for ejecting the round from the firearm. I went back and looked at the video to be sure I did not miss speak and it’s pretty clear that I did not so I don’t know why you would say that I was confused. I mean if I did miss speak and did not indicate in words that I misspoke then I could understand you trying to correct that, but I was not and I am not confused and if you think that I have the two confused then it’s not me that is confused, sir.
@@GSquaredTacticalI didn't say you misspoke.. I said you're confusing the ejector that causing the issues with the extractor. But you have called the extractor the ejector in past videos.. Anyway what I'm trying to get across is that failure to eject issues are almost always caused by the extractor, not the ejector.. Which is what you're trying to imply in this video, that the ejector is potentially the problem. Again, if you go back and watch Honest Outlaw's video you'll see that Mrs Outlaws malfunctions were failures to feed, not extract or eject.. Which would be caused by an out of spec extractor or defective magazine, or possibly a barrel feed ramp issue. Nothing to do with the ejector
@James-x5w9c OK but the whole point of the video was addressing something that several other subscribers had said was an issue so the reason that I was focusing on the ejector was because I was trying to address their concerns. I was not saying that it was a problem. In fact, I said the very opposite.

@@GSquaredTactical After like messing with it, it might be the either as basic as the extractor is not the same as it was previously/bad part, OR the whole shaft the decocker/saftey shaft might be too long.
