I painted a 71 boat tail Riverside back in 1996 and here in May 2024 the vehicle still looks as good as the day I painted it using single stage paint it was a PPG brand paint name bamboo yellow and I mixed in a half gallon of clear into it I try to stay away from single stage metallic you can never buff that paint out no matter how hard you try but for a over all paint job one needs massive air flow
It’s not necessary but if there is a lot of body work bondo/glaze etc it is definitely a good idea to help with coverage and soak back /shrinkage in the paint finish
@@recklessgarage okay thanks for your reply. I just bought a new rear metal bumper for my truck and i scuffed it with grey 3m pad and did one coat of sealer and 3 coats of single stage. Came out pretty good
Yeah, no. Sealing over cut through areas will never last. Oh, it’ll look sharp for a few months and then everything will shrink up. Spend the time and prime it, sand, then seal and paint.
Thats why we sealed it with a primer sealer and actually it will look sharp for awhile I did a Chevy truck 5 yrs ago still gets compliments 🤷🏽♂️. But I’ve only been doing it 20yrs what do I know 🤦🏽♂️

The spraying patterns the heck
I would be thrilled with that job well done.
Wow, your gun pressure sounds pretty high.
Stayed nice what’s ratio how did it come out shiny
It's single stage paint has the shiny stuff mixed in
He makes it look easy.
That looks amazing! Did you color sand it when you were done or is it just doesn't even need it?
Very nice, thank you!
Beautiful 😍
Let me know bro I need a paint job done
This came out really good for single stage. Do you have to apply sealer for single stage?

You can’t tack single stage
Yes u can @recklessgarage
3000$ paint job all day long . Very good quality!

Should seal the whole car.
