I remember working for McDonald's and standing next to the manager FLIPPING the burgers ,and he was telling me of how they were putting in the machine the cooks the burgers on both sides ,so you won't have to flip them , all you do is just remove them from the grill when they are done . That was back in !982 . Now they are telling their workers we won't need you at all in a few months .

I used the 25% off $5+ deal in the app and got the meal for $4. Not bad for a burger, nuggs, fries and drink.
A Mc Chicken and a small tea was like 4.70 the other day. So this basically adds a sm. Fries and a nuggets for 30 cents more

The difference between a McDouble and a Double Cheeseburger is a second slice of cheese and about 20 cents on our current menu (Las Vegas). I like the second slice of cheese! The cost of adding a second slice of cheese to this $5.00 meal is now $6.00. The total cost of substituting a double cheeseburger drives the cost to about $11.00 total! McDonald's invented crazy fast food pricing. Glad they are continuing their tradition!

Used to get two double cheeseburgers medium fry and a drink for the same price
Burger King value fries and McDonald's small fries are pretty much the same size. They come in the same sized little paper bag. Burger King small fries come in a larger paper cup. I also don't think McDonald's even offer smaller fries. The drink sizes also looks identical too. So it's pretty fair game to both chains! I personally much prefer Burger King burgers though.

Not at my locations that do offer it. Earlier I said I couldn't even find the $5 promo at my local store. Suburb locations honor the promo but don't let me stack the 25% off any order of $5 or more with it.

Depends. I prefer Mickeydees fries; the nuggets are both equally as good. The coke is better at Mickeydees. That leaves the burger… I prefer McDouble over Double Stack, and I prefer McChicken over Crispy Chicken Sandwich. But it’s not like the Mickeydees items are like way better or anything.
There's gotta be a Wendy's out there somewhere that has it.

The BEST value in fast food is the buy one get one free double cheese burger at McDonald’s. Price varies by location and some are buy one get one $0.29 or more. But that is without a doubt THE BEST deal

No app??? Man, you got to earn those points. It’s a good deal for $5. Get the mcchicken and add a little ketchup to the lettuce and mayo. Get their honey mustard with the nuggets.
Coupons in the newspaper were offering better prices than the app. So, it makes more sense to use the newspaper coupon than the app.
"Earning points" does not make sense in the long term. Points gained get less value since inflation rises faster. It gives you the perception of saving money when you are not.

@@vshah1010 sorry but I disagree. If there are better coupons in the paper, you can use that in conjunction with the app and still earn points. When you are short on cash you might be able to utilize those points for free stuff.

Interesting that you can customize the drink in the app. A large Coke makes it $5.50 or a small shake makes it $6.50.

Even $5 is a joke. Let yourself believe this is a good deal, and we will all be paying high prices forever! Now is the time to stand our ground. Don't go until fast food bring prices down to where they really should be. If every aspect of business did this at the same time, maybe all households could go back to one paycheck, with the second paycheck for savings and the family's future and security.

So they put the stuff that was on the two for $3.99 menu which was the McDouble the chicken sandwich and the four piece nuggets. It was already discounted. A small fry is $1.70 they're basically giving you the small soda for free. That is truly not a deal and this is why McDonald's has become the laughingstock of the fast food chain.

The way I do the hot mustard is one pack for every three nuggets and I pour it on top instead of dunking then I eat the entire thing in one bite

As to your last question: McDonalds has stated that Coca-Cola is partially subsidizing the $5 meal deal special. McDonald's Corporate is also partially subsidizing in some areas. Most franchises will therefore just break even on the deal. (As opposed to losing money without the subsidies.)

That's a lie. They're absolutely making money on it as that "deal" ain't worth $5 and isn't anywhere close to being $5 worth of product. Remember this. Fast food is the most processed and cheapest food you can get. The only reason they're not selling it for cheap anymore is that the corporations know that suckers will continue to buy this food no matter how much they decide to price gouge you for them.
