    Just come across this. It is a fantastic review of a very nice bike. Very tempted for my next bike 👍 you can also get the qiuckshifter for the DCT as well 😊

      Hiya Nigel.....no need for a quick shifter with DCT....you have a choice of auto modes or flappy paddles....far better than a manual with QS......thanks for watching

      @johnpercival1186 yesh thought that our local dealer say people are asking for it on the DCT, must be separation anxiety not having one 🤣 can't see the point of having one myself

    Thanks Lofty for a very good review of the bike.The chain might put me off as I have a GS now.My first bike was a NC750 Xdct which was okay.

    I loved your review of that fine, black Africa Twin, and knew I would enjoy this one.

    Great review lofty. I didn’t like the look of this bike when I first saw it but you are right - it’s a better touring bike than the Yamaha. Great price too.

    Enjoyed your review, it looked very wet so why didn’t you put it in rain mode??

    • @theloftybiker3090
      @theloftybiker3090  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The power delivery was so smooth and with good engine braking, I didn't feel rain mode was necessary.

    Great bike, bullet proof Honda reliability but they are bringing out an upgrade for 2025 with a lot of mods and improvements. Might be worth hanging on for that. 👍

    I'm very impressed by the modern electronic suspension but I don't want a big bike, I like the Forza 350, is there any smaller bike which has the electronic suspension found on the big bikes?

    • @theloftybiker3090
      @theloftybiker3090  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats a curve ball the Afica Twin or Forza 350 ? I love both bikes and are 6' 5'' tall.......The Forza is a wonderful scooter and now available in X ADV format......And I agree the Africa Twin with elec suspension is diferent class to the manual suspension model. If you Like the DCT in the AT and the looks of the 350 Forza.... Go try the 750 Forza

    The bike looks to be a very impressive machine. Honda onto a winner. However why do all manufacturers ignore fender design issues?

    • @theloftybiker3090
      @theloftybiker3090  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do agree. But they probably sell far more units into dryer climes than wetter ones. My first jobs would be a fender extener and Hugger.

    • @paulabraham8724
      @paulabraham8724 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      First jobs on most bikes. At least they have the grips, panniers and side stand sorted which are all must haves for a tourer. Compared with a BMW RT it looks like excellent. Value for the money.

    Ii think chain drive will prevent older guys swapping from bmws. Oversight by Honda in my opinion as very desirable and competitive in every other aspect. I am preferring lower horse power having just bought nc750x dct. However already spent £500 on centre stand, fender extender, hugger, rad guard and heated grips. Had several shaft bikes older bmws and latterly bt 1100 bulldog with shaft and cleaning chain when u are “mature”in years is hard work

    • @theloftybiker3090
      @theloftybiker3090  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe the chain might stop some BMW owners swapping, but at £13000 inc luggage.......

      It’s a strange world. I really like the BMW line.. but I won’t buy one due to the shaft drive. I’ve no problem with chain maintenance. But I have had catastrophic failure with shaft drive. And I am not a fan of compromise in power delivery with shaft. Im just happy there’s still choices available to us motorcyclists.

      Trade an FJR for this? One thing for certain, you'll miss the grunt of the FJR. Step backwards in my opinion.
