Happy Tuesday guys! We will have our full review on the Ranger Raptor posting on 3/21 at 6am EST. We also wanted to mention a slight error during the walk around, this new Ranger is actually 2" wider than the previous generation, the Raptor version is 3" wider than this truck so that is where we got the 5" number from, but it only applies to the Raptor version. Stay tuned for video #2 to post at 9am EST today on the redesigned Hyundai Santa Fe!
I really appreciate that you left the specs up for so long. It actually gives me enough time to digest the specs without having to pause the video. Other channels leave them up for like .2 seconds. So frustrating!
I've watched a lot of truck reviews. I really like how you talk fast and distinctively. You provide a lot of info without dragging out the time. Great job. Thanks!
Yes we’ll all know this by now. You don’t have to keep bringing up the same thing over and over again. This is where we are, it isn’t 2005 anymore. There’s never gonna be another 20k pickup.
I bought the 2025 Ridgeline and love it. The super handling AWD with torque vectoring makes it fun to drive, and super comfortable with the independent rear suspension. The payload is 1583, and towing capacity is 5K, which is fine for my current needs.
I bought a 2008 Ford Ranger XL for $7000 Its got 113,500 miles on odometer. Ive had it for 5 months with zero issues..I haven't had to repair or replace anything. Its been very reliable and dependable. The seats are like brand new because they always kept seat covers over them. No dents or damage anywhere. I bought it from the original owner who took good care of this truck. Im glad I bought it and with one payment...that means no car payments.😊
Sorry guys. I have a 2000 Ranger extended cab with a 6 foot bed. Runs great. As a camper shell on it. Gets the same mileage as this one. I don’t need a 4 door truck with a 4 foot bed. And, at these prices, I won’t buy a new truck until an extended cab comes back. That’s why you see a bunch of old Rangers in Ca and the Pacific NW.
1 it's a 5 foot bed not 4, 2 I agree it's pricey but an equivalent fulll size is an extra 20k and with the v6 it has a 7k trailor weight wich is good for mid size. Also with increased price most people can't have a truck and sedan so they need a crew cab. I say all this even as the owner of a 1rst gen colorado extended cab.
too bad all the phonie white collar goobers are causing the truck prices to go up as well. All these idiots buying these overpriced sht boxes have ruined it. Dealerships dont even sell real work trucks anymore
I’m glad I’m not a pickup truck guy, over $50k for a ranger? The more I make money the less I’m willing to spend it on anything that’s new. This thing looks like it was built to be $35k at most.
I just bought this truck 2 days ago and love it. I got the hot pepper red. I don't care about the sunroof. I'm very sensitive to the sun, had a sunroof in my explorer, but never used it. I chose the ranger lariat because i wanted the advanced towing package without being a house payment .
awesome review. solid information delivery. i like that the truck is not over-designed like some of the competitors. looking forward to off-road capabilities testing. thanks guys!
In South Africa we have this new Ranger, and an Everest 7 seater SUV built on this platform. They're very impressive, although we run diesel engines rather than petrol.
yea that 3 liter diesel is badass. I would get that anyway over regular petrol honestly, I have a 21 ranger but was this close to getting a gmc because they had the almost 2 liter diesel but the interior was a hot pile of shit and the trans sucked
@@waynelion-cachet35 yea they are, they are very nice. they also get ventilated front seats that the ranger doesnt get, but in AU they have them. Whoever is in charge of the ranger program at ford america is an idiot
@06:44 “Tacoma is the only one that offers four full-sized doors with a 6 ft. bed.” Perhaps I’m mistaken, but this appears to be an incorrect statement. You had me looking up whether or not the Frontier can be purchased as a Crew Cab with a 6ft. bed. Sure looks to me like you can.

Ford should offer more interior colors, like Grey or dark grey...! A front upper bumper with LARIAT name similar to the RAPTOR...a sunroof option too.! Overall looks good. Can't wait to see what the 2025 model will be.
Thanks for the review of a nice little truck Sofyan. So much choice in the marketplace now in mid size trucks. It's fun comparing and buying what you like; we're sure lucky here in NA having all these choices.
Dope!!!! This is the size that's more on par with the F150. Watch then all these haters that aren't construction workers see this on the road. Worth every penny
might as well get the raptor at that point, the 2.3 has been around literally for like 20 years (co designed/built by Ford and Mazda), its reliable and simple.

The fact that adaptive radar cruise control is STILL an option on the Ranger when it has been STANDARD on every single Tacoma (including the 4 cyl. SR work trucks) since 2018 is absolutely fucking insane.

This summer the 2.7 ecoboost V6 is supposed to be available. Do you know does the towing go up from what the 2.3 ecoboost is rated at? Please do another video when the 2.7 is available.
No sunroof in this day and age is a deal breaker. IMO - not taking into consideration the young professionals that will be buying this vehicle. Glad they have simplified the offerings.
Comparing it to the class President, the new 2024 Toyota Tacoma, they don't seem to have a hybrid that can compete with Toyota's 326 HP engine, if you want power and fuel economy, and the exterior hasn't improved for the 5th generation. Looks like a refresh. Toyota isn't worried about the Ranger.
I'm in the market for a new midsize truck. I like the new Ranger, but lack of a sunroof option could tilt in favor of Colorado or Taco. I don't understand the reasoning, F-150 and Maverick both have a sunroof option.
I like the external appearance a lot. Not a fan of the large, portrait-oriented screen, and I wish they offered a 6 ft bed, but it's a compelling truck in terms of towing/bed capacity.
Love the look, not a fan of no moon/sun roof! That is a deal breaker for me. And if the moon room would have no opten tilt option, that would be a no for me also. Love the look over all though. Great reviews love your videos btw :)
Ford's pricing structure for this vehicle doesn't make a whole lot of sense, especially when looking at this configuration and comparing it to the Ranger Raptor, which is only a few thousand dollars more. The amount of additional power, suspension, and tech in that vehicle is mind boggling. From the bumper, to the tires, everything in the Raptor is way more expensive, beefier, and premium, so when comparing the two, I have a really hard time justifying the Lariat's price.
We drove 2wd models...Tacoma..Frontier..Colorado/Canyon..Ranger. Thinking I was going to get one of the Asian trucks came away very disappointed. Toyota was very plasticky inside and legroom was not good. At 40-75mph it was very loud in the cabin and at 47k no thank you. The Frontier felt small in all dimensions. The mechanical steering was terrible and although I appreciated the V-6 non turbo it felt sluggish. I'm certain longevity would be the best but the tranny just didn't shift as well as the others. 43k was on the high side but with all the discounts and low financing it could be had for 36,500.00 but still it felt like I was driving an older truck on a new body. The Canyon was the best looking in my opinion but at 46k it was out. The Colorado was about 42500.00 and comparing it to the Canyon had basically the same equipment at a lessor price. I was ready to buy this truck and then I said let me look at the Ranger. I drove that and was very impressed. It rode the best of all the trucks. It had the most room in the cabin and the rear seats were somewhat comfortable where I wasn't sitting too low and knee room was the best. Excellent power and the tech was excellent. It had the tow package, bedliner, sport appearance package and a few options the others didn't have. The cabin was sporty with the new door panels and the front driver's seat felt the best, even better than the GM's. 39,800 msrp and 37400.00 which was 500.00 under invoice. 3,000.00 less than the Colorado and 500.00 more than the Frontier.
It is the same size, I had a 97 F150 extra cab 6’ bed…basically the same length AND even though I had a V8, this little turbo 4 has the same torque and horsepower rating.
Compared to a Tacoma limited, the Taco offers way more features for the same amount of money, ventilated seats, power running boards, powered tailgate, a sunroof, standard adaptive cruise. Even the Canton offers more features. I do like the powertrain options but I don’t think that’s enough on its own
First things first: Congratulations Sofyan! Nothing like finding the right one!🎉! Now, this Ranger: Pluses: Wider width, more room inside, nice dash, love the step at the rear. Minuses: Only 1 bodystyle and cargo box, no naturally aspirated engine, no manual transmission, no full L.E.D lighting; even for over $52,000,no sunroof option, An e-shifter instead of a traditional automatic shifter and low ground clearance unless you pay more money. Grade: C. Competition:🎉 Frontier A, Tacoma A-, Canyon B+, Colorado B. All better than this Ford. That's unfortunate. 🐰
My last Ford Ranger, 2001 XLT was $16k new, adjusted for inflation would be just over $30k today. This being over $50k is just not justified. I would just grab a lease return F-150 for about the same money.
$52k gets you a well equipped GMC Acadia, which is a superior vehicle in every category except for towing capacity, and even then it still tows 5000lbs. How insane. That’s a $40k truck
I don’t care about sunroof, but what about roof racks option? Will be roof rack ready or not? I won’t buy another Ranger if Isn’t ready for that upgrade.

Ranger has more space in bed and backseat also more payload, 4 auto, and towing on a already proven engine
Grade: C.
Competition:🎉
Frontier A, Tacoma A-, Canyon B+, Colorado B. All better than this Ford. That's unfortunate. 🐰
My last Ford Ranger, 2001 XLT was $16k new, adjusted for inflation would be just over $30k today. This being over $50k is just not justified. I would just grab a lease return F-150 for about the same money.
I believe this isn't an all-new frame, but rather just an updated version of the previous model's frame
There are vents under the front seats for heating and AC
Redline and The Straight Pipes posted on the same day?? Didn't expect that but Great to start on a Tuesday!!
If they kept code orange for raptor I’d buy it right now, now I can’t decide tacoma or ranger
We don’t like sunroof/ moonroof in Arizona anyway. Too hot in summer.
7:00 woah, are my eyes deceiving me or am I seeing a pickup in North America from a US manufacturer with proper rear separate amber turn signals?!
$52k gets you a well equipped GMC Acadia, which is a superior vehicle in every category except for towing capacity, and even then it still tows 5000lbs. How insane. That’s a $40k truck
I had a moon roof once in a fx4 f150. And after it started to leaking an never closing correctly. I have no interest in having one ever again
Found On Road Dead 😮 hahaha 🤣. My 1997 Dodge has a locking differential. 382,650 KMs
I don’t care about sunroof, but what about roof racks option? Will be roof rack ready or not? I won’t buy another Ranger if Isn’t ready for that upgrade.
Luv the outtakes
Thanks for the great review adding in my prior comment below…..I believe the overseas Ranger gets rear seat AC vents …as soon as a sweating and whining 2 year old sits back there they will hopefully add those for the US Version
There are vents under the front seats
Sofyan I’m surprised you didn’t tell us when the ranger is going to start heading to dealership?
Cause they are already at dealerships.
I like it, although I think the dash looks a little weird with it being so small
Great review!
