    Can I use my Yongnuo YN-E2-RT II trigger atop the X1T to trigger my Yongnuo 600ex II flashes? Or would I still need the X1R receivers on each flash? I recently bought an AD600 and haven't touched my flashes since, but it would be awesome if I could still get some use out of them without spending (too much) more money!

    • @PTPhotoGearReviews

      I honestly couldn't say as I don't own the YN-E2-RT but if you use an X1 or X2T to fire X1R's you will be able to fire the 600ex II's but you would have to adjust the power manually. Cheers

    Hi, This video was super helpful for me to understand how to use mixed system. Thank you very much for this demonstration and explanation. I have a question, I'm actually trying to use one of the JinBei's new wireless HD 200 Pro. But I have a studio flash and speedlight from Godox, so a Godox X1T trigger as well. I might want to get another JinBei studio flash as well. So I'm considering and questioning, if I could simply use another wireless trigger/remote from JinBei on top the Godox trigger? If yes, then, I probably do have to adjust all the settings on that trigger right? The other question is, If I did buy a simpler version of Godox XTR16 receivers, I can attach each of them to flashes from other brands and trigger all of them from one single trigger, can't I ? What would be the best option? In fact, in that case, I'm loosing the built in wireless trigger capabilities of these mobile flashes if I had to carry them outside.

      Hey, many thanks for your question. Your situation is very similar to mine. Essentially, I've switched to the Godox family of triggers but I have the RL-600B(made by Jinbei) which is the most powerful flash I own and great for over powering the sun. My best advice would be to decide which system will be your main system, Jinbei or Godox for all your lighting needs because sure you can have a godox x1ts to trigger godox lights but you will only be able to trigger the Jinbei lights manually which if outdoors and the Jinbei's are 10ft away can become a real time waster fast. You could go the XTR16 route but you'll only have manual adjustment. The whole idea is to be able to make fine adjustments from the trigger. It might be possible to put one trigger on top of another system's trigger and fire the lights but it's definitely not going to give you efficiency and or professional lighting results by any stretch. Ultimately, you need to go with one system or the other depending on which is better in your area. Believe me, you will be glad you did in the end. Hope that helps. Cheers!

      @@paulphillips5128 Hi Paul, Thank you very much for the quick reply. Yes, it's hard actually decide what's the best at this moment. I have the JinBei HD200 Pro for 200 euros in a local shop with the basic kit including a reflectors. This model actually has a quite a bit of high power modelling lamp. I'm not an established photographer, but someone planning to start slowly. I was mainly looking at Ad200 and HD 200 Pro, because of portability etc. So I don't plan to heavily invest into the system yet, but looking for the most cost effective system at th same time most functional. For the Godox AD200 for the same kit, I will have to spend ~320 Euros + another 20 Euros for the LED head. That's the main reason I was thinking to go along the Jinbei Route. I actually saw a video someone explaining that XTR16 can be used with Godox X1 triger to fully control the flash power etc, of a yongnuo speed light. That was the main reason I thought if this is doable with X1 and XTR16. But I completely understand your point of sticking in to one family. But, when the money becomes factor, this could be a difficult decision. I see almost a 90-100 Euros difference of the two systems including trigger and bowens S mount. adaptor etc.

    • @duckhanhpham4753
      @duckhanhpham4753 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you only adjust channel and group on X1R the same and you can put Jinbei on receiver/trigger on X1R. Second question: I cannot reply as I do not have XTR16 receiver but if you have any Jinbei receiver connecting by sync cable to any flashes then you can have single trigger.

      Hi Pooja, I don't have the Elinchrom RX4 so I can't confirm 100% but as you saw in my video the X1R will fire just about anything and with HSS. What you won't have is the ability to control the RX4 remotely. That is, you'll have to walk over and adjust the light intensity on the RX4 manually. Best way is to buy the X1R try it with the RX4 and if it doesn't work just return the X1R but I really do think it will work for you just no remote control. Hope that helps. Paul

      as might as well get a cheaper or used normal trigger and pair it on your x1t or x2t as manual trigger. using a x1r as manual is a bit expensive and wasteful and defeated it whole wireless purposes. that is to be able to fully remotely control your flashed on the transmitter. iTTL, TTL, manual, HSS, iso, HSS and others.

    Hi. Thanks for your video... Very clear and simple. I have a sony A/IV and bought a Godox v1 together with a X2Ts to work wireless. However , as I have a flash Olympus FL-700WR, I was advised to buy another X2Ts to play as receiver, but is does not work. The X2T mounted on camera does not fire my Olympus Flash, mounted on the additional X2Ts... Form your video I am assuming that X2T does not work as a receiver and I need to replace it by a X1Rs, which will help to fire the Olympus flash, Ami I right? The X2T does not work as a receiver. Does it? What should I do? Thanks again and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

      Hi Ramon, your are correct. The X2T is the transmitter and the X1R is the receiver so you can use an X1R to fire the Fl-700WR but understand that you won't have remote control of the power levels. You will have to adjust the power levels manually on the FL-700WR but at least you can get some use out of it instead of having to toss it. Hope that helps. Happy New Year! Paul

    • @PTPhotoGearReviews

      You'll need an X2T(S) and then an X1R(s) for each nikon speedlight but you''ll have to adjust the nikon speedlights manually so... I would buy an X2T(S) and a Godox 860VII or III which will have the radio function built in and give you full remote control from the X2T. If money is tight then the X1R's will suffice but you'll upgrade later, trust me. Hope that helps. Paul

    I have a Godox Xpro(Sony version) i use to trigger 2 godox compatible strobes but I also have a third strobe (Canon). Can I get the TTL features with an X1R-C ? And also, why are there several models of the X1R (Sony, Nikon...)?

    • @paulphillips5128
      @paulphillips5128 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, great questions. No to TTL with the X1R-C because the X1R-C is only going to pass through a Godox trigger signal. I tested this on my godox v860II for sony and it does TTL but when I substitute my YN568EX it just fires the flash with no control (the image was blown out). Your last question and this is just my guess, if Godox built all the trigger firing algorithms into one trigger/receiver (if that was even possible) they wouldn't make as much money as they can selling individual units-one for each proprietary system. Hope that helps.

      godox receiver only works for their dedicated brand. canon, nikon, sony and fuji. other brand of flash might work for manual control but it defeated its purpose. as might as well get a cheaper or used wireless trigger to attached on top the x2t or x1t shoe.

    • @jefferi78

      @@mezarcowacko , i think the way hss works is only with their respective brand. even you have a right trigger on each brand of flash and camera but different combination, the hss will not work. the receiver only works for it respective camera brand, like nikon flash only works with nikon camera and sony to sony and canon to canon. you can get a hss capable godox wireless flash that fit with each brand trigger attached. for other function as you fit in directly to the camera like the auto zoom flash, it might not work unless you get the respective godox wireless flash brand same with the camera.

    Hi, I've been searching for some help to setup my d3200 nikon camera for off camera flash. I have a Speedlight sb 700 and I recently purchased a goxdox X2T and godox Xpro-N triggers to help. • @PTPhotoGearReviews
      @PTPhotoGearReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi steve, the x2t/xpro speak godox and are not compatible with the sb700. 1. If you want full remote control buy a godox 860viii or godox ad200 depending on how much power you need. 2. buy the x1r I showed in the video and you can fire your sb700 from it (triggered by the x2t or xpro) but you will have to manually adjust your power levels on the back of the sb700. 3. you can fire the sb700 in s1/s2 mode or what we call infra red mode, that is, the sb700 will fire when it sees another speedlight fire but if you only have the one speedlight that's not an option. 4. you can probably mount the sb700 in the top shoe of the x2t and fire it but that defeats the entire purpose of using radio triggers which is to get your speedlights off the camera. Hope that helps a little. Get back if you need to. Paul
