Yes 😂. That's one of the reasons why I always say I have a love/hate relationship with Seiko. If 50€ AliExpress watches use sapphire crystals, then Seiko has no excuse not to.

I was interested in this one, but photos and videos may not do it true justice or depiction as it does in person. I had a chance to see one today in person at the Worn & Wound Wind-Up in SF 2022. What made me want this more was the fact the dial is nicely textures, obviously, but what I found less obvious and actually appreciated more was the fact the penguin footprints weren't actually super visible as they appear in a lot of photos and some videos.. at least the example I saw today they were really subtle and had to get close and under right lighting angle for them to show up more. I appreciate that as I wanted the overall dial texture to show up more than penguin footprints. Anyways, it was enough to convince me to finally order one. I am always a big tuna fan, really like the fact they made these 42mm automatic versions, had one, the blue and gold/tan one.. but it didn't quite do it for me colorwise. This one does and I do like that the very few, including this one, has more stainless steel vs black pvd or gunmetal coated. Thanks for the review.
@@TheBoldHairspring Forgot to tell you I bought the watch through Relojería Esparza. It's one of my favorites. I swapped the breacelet to a NATO strap. By the way: It is the one you reviewed (131030)- lol.

Great review but check a mistake in the first one's dimensions. Thickness shows a wrong value.

Hardlex is better for diving than sapphire. Don't forget that this is an actual dive watch.

You can always mod the Tuna with a domed sapphire crystal and slap a metal bracelet on it.

i'm so confused.. They made a small tuna? Tuna's were usually huge like at least 47 mm across.. 22mm lugs.

Not much really. I guess if you wear it loose, it might feel a bit too top heavy but overall the strap keeps the watch in place fairly well.
