I still prefer the more tool-like look of the 3rd Gens with their knurled crown, crown guards and 50hr power reserve with the 6R15 movement but this 4th Gen is simply stunning. I would get one fast if you want one!

Definitely an amazing 🤩 Seiko monster for sure . Everything you’ve said about this watch is spot on . The one thing I’ve noticed immediately that you didn’t mention is that this is the first fourth generation monster with an all stainless steel bezel . No black or ip coated bezel. That’s what I’ve been waiting for . It’s not in the budget for me now but hopefully when I can afford it it’s still available. You are correct. I did forget to say that this is the first 4th Gen without an IP coated bezel. And the funny thing is that I actually had that written down in my notes to say during the review. I just forgot to mention it. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it.

I wish Seiko would bring back the sharks teeth on the dial. Then it would be a "monster" again.
Super watch, so beautiful, brutal, masculine. When a husband puts them on his hand, you understand how they suit him. I never thought that such an accessory as a watch can emphasize real masculine qualities!

very cool watch, I wish they would have put a no-date-day or day complication in it (the dial is so nice) and thrown on a anti-reflective sapphire crystal and this would have been legendary
Just purchased this watch today from a local Seiko authorized dealer in my area . Can’t believe how impressive this watch is . It’s amazing 🤩.
Seiko really needs to improve on the clasps.....ridiculous at this price point. It is a great looking piece otherwise.

Ill be honest with you, I do not prefer the third gen. The Antarctica appears to be far superior. Just my preference and I just do not like orange dials
I disagree as the 3rd gen had the 6R15 movement.
SEIKO: Cyclops: Optional. Crystal: Sapphire - non optional. Clasp: Disappointing - Please improve. Price: Much lower please Seiko!

When I saw it in store the dial hypnotised me and forced me to buy it 😂
My wife bought me the Antarctica icy edition and the box is waaaaay bigger. Just a couple of downers: not a sapphire crystal and the bracelet has broken twice. Keeps great time though.
Huge bummer, the JDM models should have a sapphire.
Nice watch man! I don't mind pressed clasps as long as they are made well. I find they are thinner than a bulky milled one. And the cut out on the sides are from monster claws! ;-)
I agree, the stamped clasps don't bother me that much either.
Got both the happy feet (This one) and the darker blue with the penguins swimming. LOVE them
Everything I love except the lug width. Personally I just feel at this case size it should be 22. Beautiful watch
The lug width is 20mm but the bracelet goes out to 24mm then tapers back to 20mm after 2 links. So it wears much bigger than a 20mm lug

Ma786sai dua truly like all your videos an absolutely great review. I almost bought this 4th Gen. but after seeing the 3rd Generation Jade, SZSC005 Jade and Navy SZSC003 I happily acquired these 3 3rd Gen’s instead.
I got mine today its k not j but everything is aligned perfectly and the bezel has no play. Its much more beautiful than you can see on the video. The only thing is the clasp. Can anyone direct me to a replacement quality clasp?

Not happy with the price and getting a 4R36 and no sapphire. Mine looks great but not worth $450+.
Im considering the baby tuna and what I like about this model compared to other save the ocean is that it is very unique cool design with a real story unlike the other save the ocean that looks like a james cameron dblue.
Really nice looking watch, but would be better without that terrible Cyclops, sorry.

The cyclops is a nice feature in my opinion. That is, if it's not crooked....
Excellent review! Great Intro! I was expecting David Attenborough to start telling us about penguins ! BTW, I'm based in Turkey right now, and we usually get the Japanese made ones here!. This is a lovely watch but for me the only true monster has sharp shark teeth and no magnifier!! Gorgeous dial colour though.

I much prefer the 3rd gen to the 4th gen. Don't like the day date. Hate the cyclops and the dial...
Just bought it. We will see if it's a keeper...
Aaaand it's gone. The bezel seems to be a satin finish, in comparison to the 3rd gen. The crown sticks out way too much. Bezel action is too loose. Doesn't feel like a monster at all.

$380 is a good price now (5-2-22), but you are most likely seeing a "K" model that does
not say "Made in Japan" on the dial for that price. A "Made in Japan" dial one will increase much faster in collectability and value over the years.

Its a nice watch except for one thing; it's difficult to actually TELL the time on it which--and I'm going out on a limb here--is the final purpose of a watch. The silver/white hands on the light blue/ice dial make it hard to read during the course of the day. They could have used a darker silver and some red or orange at the tip of the second hand. Nice jewelry though.
It’s not hard at all?! It’s actually far better than any watch with a white dial and silver hands. I don’t know which TH-cam video you got this opinion from but you clearly don’t have the watch.

Can I ask,do Seiko actually give part of the profits to any kind of save the ocean charity's? I really hope they do or it's kinda pointless,they are all beautiful the (save the ocean watches) but if they aren't trying to save the ocean it's a bit sad to be honest 🤔
