92 was such a great year that will always hold a special place in my heart. Watching Jordan hit those 3's and watching the Original Dream Team was unforgettable to me. But as far as video games and the SNES goes..... for me...... summer of 92......was the summer of Street Fighter 2! I will never forget getting out of school that summer. I would be spending a couple of weeks with grandma down in NC. My mom had a cool idea why don't you take your SNES down there with you to help keep you company. I thought it was a great idea. So I packed my SNES and my little VHF/UHF tube TV with me. On the way we stopped at Toys R Us and lucky me I got to pick out a game to take with me. I had been following Street Fighter 2 since I had seen it for the first time in arcades the previous fall of 91. I also picked up that GamePro mag with Ryu on the cover earlier in the year in 92 and I still have it today. So when I went inside Toys R Us I had no idea what I was going to get......and there it was....I had no idea it was even out! What!!! I can't believe it! Street Fighter 2! Man I picked up the last one in the store!! When I got the game and got into the car I had no idea the journey I was about to go on and how that day would change my life forever. When I got to grandmas house I got unpacked, hooked my little TV up in her den and my SNES up to it. It was some kids in my grandma's neighborhood that I knew that were around my age and a little bit older that I use to hang with and when they found out I had Street Fighter 2 on the SNES..... .my grandma's house was flooded with kids in the neighborhood. Everyday it was new kids in the city who would come down and knock on my door just because they heard I got Street Fighter 2 on Super Nintendo. I mean my grandma's house had become the neighborhood house for real that summer. Dudes that were younger then me, dudes that was older then me, dudes who was in high school at the time and even a few college kids would come over and play Street Fighter 2 with me. I'm serious all the thugs and dudes who had slapped the teacher they all were welcome to come through and get some of grandma's cooking and play Street Fighter 2 with me! Straight up! Summer of 92! Street Fighter 2! I had both systems back in 92. Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. The games I picked up in 92 were Legend of the Mystical Ninja earlier in the year, Street Fighter 2 that summer, I got Sonic 2 that fall, and since I'm a December baby so I got Turtles in Time on my birthday and Streets of Rage 2 for Christmas. I was blessed!!!!!!!!
Maaaan this sounds sooo awesome! Summer in the 90's, grandma house holiday and Snes...you cant go wrong its the recipe for success xD!!! Ihave a somewhat similar experience in the ''gaming visitor'' part with the N64 in the summer of '98 i would get many ppl around for Goldeneye, starfox and diddy kong racing multiplayers....90'S and Nintendo man...the stuff of Legend!
@@edge6441 That's awesome man! During the height of the N64/PS1 era I was in college. We used to have GoldenEye battles in my dormitory. I remember specifically we got sooooooo drunk one night and had a little GoldenEye tournament. After we beat the other team they got so mad that we started play fighting in the room. The play fight spilled out into the hallway and we ran back in the room and locked them out. They kept beating on the door and we wouldn't let them back in. So somebody was like go ahead and let them in. When we did this dude had took a fire extinguisher off the wall in the hallway and came in the room and hosed us down. The fire alarm went off in the building and whole building evacuated! Good times!!!!!!
street fighter was so huge for the snes, it was one of the few games that intrigued so many people including my dad we went out one night and bought the game full price at the local store.
@@kyles8524 yeah i never got to experience these games initially in arcade either when they first came out, i heard that was epic in the arcades, i seen them way later, i seen mortal kombat 2 earlier on before it came out on consoles, but missed that one too was just too young to be in arcades enough.
@@therealjaystone2344 yeah, and I always wondered as a kid, how was there always these MK or SF experts everywhere? The game was only out a few months and they were there with a crowd around them, they were even professional SNK players it seems. Anyways, idk why your comment reminded me of that.
I turned 10 in 1992. The memories this brings back, especially of the Summer of 1992 playing Link to the Past all break long, watching Barcelona Olympics and checking out movies every week with my best friend is a magical period that can never be duplicated. Thank you for this.
Yes, Magic Sword is a very good game, but sadly, it's the most underrated game in Capcom's arcade hack n' slash trilogy, people always prefer The King of Dragons or Knights of the Round over Magic Sword, no matter if it is on arcade or Super Nintendo, and it's sad because this game is the only of the three to have platform sections. Many criticized the Super Nintendo version of Magic Sword for having a slower movement of characters compared to the arcade version, but the truth is, I like it better, it feels more real for a human run-walk capabilities and gives more time to visualize the details in each floor of the tower. Another thing that I also like more about the SNES version is the soundtrack, I don't know why, but it reminds me a bit of Castlevania, and well, you know, that's always a success. However, my problem with this port is the lack of some enemies and the slowdowns (I don't need the co-op). Don't get me wrong, the Super Nintendo version is a fun port, but needs work for a restoration patch of enemies and maybe co-op. SA-1, FastROM or a Super-FX patch for remove the slowdowns is very necessary too.
I remember the summer of ‘92 fondly, and the agony of trying to decide between the two 16-bit juggernauts as I saved up my pennies to purchase either a Genesis or SNES. Ultimately, the stunning arcade conversions of Street Fighter II and Turtles IV were the game-makers for me. Another great trip down memory lane, thank you for your work!
SNES v Genesis (Mega Drive) and the little brother versions NES v Sega Master System era were the greatest times to be a gamer. Both companies gave us brilliant choices and to this day I often play the 8-16 bit games from these consoles. Thanks for the memories SLX :)
this was really the best and most memorable year for me on the SNES. lots of classic games. The wait for SF2 to be ported home was really painful but super happy it finally arrived.
And what made it even more painful was because of its 16 Meg size and the fact that rom chips of that size (well it actually used 2 8 Meg chips) were expensive ad hell, SF2 cost, where I live, a whopping $79.99 which was almost twice the cost of a standard game which was normally $49.99. And of course, with inflation, $79.99 in 1992 dollars would equal just under $170 today. Talk about CRAZY. What's really crazy was that in 1994 I paid $499 for a brand new 3D0 as I waited for the price to drop from $699 so in today's dollars I payed $1000 for the thing. Holy crap.....well, better than pay the og price of $1434 when ut was first released.
@@CONSOLETRUTH2 3do was total crap, every system failed eventually. But yea, chrono trigger and ff3 were like a hundred bucks. Crazy money by today’s standards
Nice to see Top Gear being mentioned. The games is absolutely adored here in Brazil, with its soundtrack being covered by rock bands in early 2000s in every videogame concert. Horizon Chase for the PS4 had the same composer as Top Gear, in fact. Some people even consider it a spiritual sequel.
Most certainly its as if the thing launched and successes in the form of killer titles started flying towards the thing and it was only its first year...Golden!
1992 was a good year for the SNES: not just because of A Link to the Past and many great ports, but also because of programs like Mario Paint, the father of the Super Mario Maker series. Mario Paint showed that the SNES could be more than a game console. With the incorporation of the SNES Mouse, Mario Paint could be used to help people create visual art and music.
As much as I love my modern consoles. I’ll always have a soft spot for retro consoles like the snes. Love just putting in a game and u r strait into things. None of these updates or installation that takes friggen ages. And hiring a game on weekends was always a treat
Snes is the best console of all time, and the snes pad is the best controller of all time. Honestly, i still think snes graphics are impressive. The sound chip is the best sound chip ever made too. Everything about snes is the best.
'92 was an incredible year for the Super Nintendo. Just banger after banger came out that year that are still being sought-after even to this day. '94 and '95 were no slouches either. Greatest gaming console of all time in my opinion.
in 92 I became a teenager, so you could basically say that year was literally the end of my "childhood". There is almost nothing in the world more purely nostalgic to me than this era of video games
I still can't understand why so many ppl (on & offline) disliked the overhead gameplay in Contra III AW...I thought it was a blast, & a great change of pace that nicely mixed things up a bit.
The main problem for me was to use the shoulder buttons to rotate the character left of right, which was the best way to do it back then but it was a little annoying, overall fantastic game! I still play it every now and then in these days :), take care
I'm actually surprised you didn't mention NHL '94. To this day the best hockey game ever made. Super smooth and fun to play, even for those who don't typically like sports games. Edit: Yes, Sega Lord X himself reminded me the video is for 1992, but I left the comment up because I still think people should play NHL '94 and need to know about it. Also, I'm hoping it will be a reminder for him to put it in his '94 video, if he does one.
Your channel always evokes good memories, but this one definitely brought out the best. November 1992 was when I first got my SNES. In the next couple of months, Turtles in Time, Super Double Dragon, Street Fighter II, Mario Paint, and Contra III were some of the first games I ever played on the system. The video brought up Thanksgivings and Christmases when cousins, siblings, family friends, and I would gather around the Super Nintendo and play co-op. All of that makes me realize the time. My god, in about a month's time all of that would have been 30 years ago. But I still remember them like they were yesterday. Thanks bro.
To really drive home the importance of Street Fighter II hitting the SNES first, that port was the best selling home version of the game of that whole console generation. No other iteration of Street Fighter II, on any of the other contemporary systems sold as well. A whopping 6.3 million copies.
Lots of folks that speak of that time have no clue how important SF2 was to the SNES in the US. It was a huge reason Nintendo weathered Sega’s onslaught in the region.
The SFII hype was real. I ended up kind of hating SFII, because of its popularity. At first, its popularity was great. Half the people in the arcade would be gathered around the SFII machine, leaving the other games free for me to take my pick of. Over the weeks and months, the arcade owners would start removing those games, and replacing them with more SFII cabinets. Leaving me with less and less to play.
I'll always be grateful that I owned both. I consider both the Genesis and SNES equals. Not just in software but hardware too. They both had different strengths and weaknesses in both.
I've been watching this channel for 2 years and I'm never disappointed with your content. I appreciate the time, dedication and hard work that you put in to these videos. Time to crack open a cold one and watch another one.
The SNES never really took off here in South Africa like the Mega Drive did. However I did see a few consoles at importer shops, and Killer Instinct absolutely blew me away. It was a pity that the console and games were so hard to find.
I'm so glad I stayed a nintendo gamer as a child I admit when Sega released the genesis/mega drive I was worried then the snes came out and demolished everything.
I never owned a SNES or NES for that matter, being a too proud Sega master system then Genesis owner I didn't even want to look at the SNES games in EGM or GamePro because inside I knew it was capable of better graphics and sound, then when Street fighter 2 came out for SNES I saw it at JCPENNEY and was Soo jealous hahaha it's funny how deep the 16 bit console wars really ran.
I did the same, but the other way around. I owned a Super Nintendo and I refused to acknowledge that the Mega Drive had awesome games as well. We were so stupid back then 🤣 Anyway I couldn't afford to own both consoles, so I was more than happy to stick to my SNES
This was a great time to be a gamer, Sega and Nintendo were in the heat of battle and we got so many great games. On the Sega side we got Sonic 2, Streets of Rage 2, Road Rash 2, ThunderForce IV/Lightening Force, World of Illusion, TMNT: Hyperstone Heist and Street Fighter 2: Special Champion Edition to name a few. Couldn't go wrong with either console in 92.
Lots of fond memories of 92. I was still two years off from owning a SNES but my neighbor had it all, often during the release window. We played a lot of pretty much every title mentioned be it rental or outright bought. Hell we spent an entire weekend rolling change we gathered to get enough together to afford A Link to the Past and it was worth every moment.
Man, Dat first time playing legend of Zelda link to the past and been blown away for the rain sound effect outside and indoor ...just like the real thing!!!
40 next month. Got a Super Nintendo for my 10th birthday. Super Castlevania IV as the first game. This video hits home perfect. Great job on this and all your videos.
The SNES made it to Europe on May/June 1992. I got it that very summer with Super Mario World, and in July I got the import of Street Fighter II, which wouldnt be released in Europe until Xmas... and we had the Olympics in my city, Barcelona that summer. Best summer of my life, and an awesome year to be a gamer, I had both the Megadrive and the SNES so i couldn't ask for more. Great video as always!!
The 16 bit era between SNES & Sega Genesis was one the greatest era's of all time. First party, Third party, Licensed games or Sports titles, both put out tons of awesome games.
This was just beautiful, my lord. An awesome shot of nostalgia. I got my SNES for my birthday in late 93 with Super Mario World, F-Zero, and a Link to the Past (with Mario All-Stars arriving 2-3 weeks later for free via proof-of-purchase mail-in). I was on cloud-9 for a little over a year before I had enough saved up to buy my model 2 Genesis with Sonic 1 and 2, Sword of Vermilion, and Thunder Force II. P.S. A Link to the Past might not be the greatest game of all-time (that honor goes to Super Mario World) but it's up there...and always will be.
I went to the beach for summer vacation July 1992. The hotel we stayed at had a SF2 cabinet in the lobby. I had never even heard of it prior but I spent almost the entire time playing it. When I got home, I was shocked to see that it was just released on the SNES. That was all I needed to go out and buy the system and I loved every minute of it.
Growing up, me and my friends would rotate going to each other's houses as one had a SNES, I had a Genesis, one had a PC and Turbografx 16 and the other had a Neo-Geo. Good times back then.
I wasted so many years being a Sega hardcore gamer and would argue with my cousin for hours about both systems lol we still talk about it now but I’m glad I eventually listened to him and was able to enjoy SNES. The early 90s really were ridiculously amazing for gaming!
Great picks and 1992 was probably my fav year owning a SNES. One minor gripe I have: I hate Super Double Dragon. It was such a disappointment to me and I cannot stand how slow it plays. A shame considering I was such a huge fan of the NES DD games and beat-em-ups in general.
You know 1992 was an excellent year for the SNES when Space Megaforce (my pick for the best shoot ‘em up on the system) only get a “blink and you miss it” mention near the end of the video. The game’s biggest flaw? The insane price it goes for on eBay (at least here in the states). If the game has ever gotten a digital re-release or gets one in the future, buy it immediately! It’s a classic worth playing.
1. I wish i discovered AXELAY. I would've enjoyed it. Always loved shooters. Of course Treasure are masters at 2D shooters. 2. Disappointed that Double Dragon on SNES was clunky. I sit here and notice the poor "hand-shake" for hit detection. I loved the NES games more. 3. I played most games listed here, including the Star Wars game, and games that followed.
One of my fave random memories from being a kid was my dad picking me up from school (last day of 3rd grade) and randomly taking me to Toys R Us. He told me to pick a game and I chose A Link to the Past. It had been out for a few months at the time and I wanted to play it badly. It was a great summer.
I'll always remember my 10th birthday, my mom rented a SNES with a handful of games, the big one being Street Fighter 2. The SNES gave me some of my fondest memories, crazy that it's been 30 years.
I'm glad you're showing some Nintendo love. I had Super Smash TV as a kid as well as most of these games (didn't have Ax slave) My buddy growing up had the Capcom arcade sticks and his dad made a clip on "2nd Joysticks" for them because he liked the game so much that he wanted to play it like the OG arcade cabinet. Legend of the Mystical Ninja is still one of my favorite franchises of all time, too bad we didn't get all of them here in the states. But thanks to fan translation and rom editing I've been able to complete the entire series. Damn, growing up in the 80's and 90's was rad!
The SNES finally coming to the US after months and months of speculation, anticipation, rumors and hype was a time fondly remembered. The SNES fulfilled its promises delivered fantastic titles in spades year after year. Even into the 5th generation, the SNES released titles nothing short of remarkable. The SNES, Genesis, PC E/TG16 and Neo Geo each had such a unique twist and the stand-alone offerings from each platform IMO made the 4th generation the best.
It's about time someone did the SNES, I was a huge Sega fan loved my MD, but when my friend got the new SNES and streetfighter 2 on release it was a must have, just like the MD and sonic. Best gaming days ever, so much fun, competition and hype.
I was only a year old at the time, so too young to appreciate these titles at the time. My brothers of course got the essentials, A Link to the Past, Street Fighter 2 and Turtles in Time, so when I was a few years older, I got to enjoy them.
Good video; while 1994 was my favorite SNES year with Super Metroid, the JRPG's, and Donkey Kong Country the year of 1992 is right up there as well as an honorable mention and I'm pretty sure that the SNES got the bulk of my gaming time that year compared to the Genesis and Turbografx.
Awesome topic, I’ve been thinking about how it seemed that maybe 1992-1993 might have been the general peak of the 16-bit generation; the Sega CD was still rocking in ‘93, etc.
I got the SNES Christmas on 92. In fact, I believe I got my Genesis on the same day. SF2 and Mario World were the games I got with it. Man, the time I had. I consider 92 the SNES best year and 93 the year of Genesis.
Sempre tive o Megadrive o que não me impediu de apreciar esta fantástica consola. Tanto que passados 30 anos comprei uma original e coloquei a lado a lado com sua rival. Agora posso apreciar as melhores de sempre na minha opinião. Muitas vezes encosto a PS4 pra poder reviver estes tempos mágicos ❤️
I own both 16 bit consoles myself, a big library between the both of them, the amount of good software between the 2 was insane. Today's console competition cannot live up to the 16 Bit Wars competition, a truly magical time in gaming history.
Great series SLX. I love these types of videos from you. Now that the Cowabunga Collection is out I have been able to play Turtles In Time the arcade and the SNES port. I prefer the SNES version. Konami did a great job throughout that one. There are several titles here I've never heard of so I hope to check them out.
The thing I can count on you for, you cover everything, regardless of console. We were truly blessed during the 16 bit generation, tons of great software. The 8 and 16 bit consoles/handhelds (Game Boy at least) are games I tend to try and collect the most of, still trying to gather as many as I can before prices eventually go berserk on everything good.
I always wanted the console most of my friends didn't have, so then we could all enjoy the best games from all the consoles at the time. Genesis and SNES made each other better and I loved them both.
I was 11 in 1992 and the SNES was my life! Used to love playing Contra III and others. Amazing childhood memories and i can definitely thank my parents for getting these systems for Christmas.
Growing up gaming in the 90s was such an exciting time, especially with the 16-bit war between Nintendo and Sega. Nintendo really came out of the gate swinging with a constant stream of amazing titles on the SNES! I only had a Genesis and was a bit jealous of all the amazing games the SNES owners were getting. Don't get me wrong, the Genesis was great, too, but the SNES just seemed to have a bigger variety of quality titles. Most of these games are even _better_ now as there are a ton of patches for your favorite classics! Everything from adding quality of life improvements to new content to make the game feel fresh again!

Mortal Kombat was a pretty big one too
@@kyles8524 yeah i never got to experience these games initially in arcade either when they first came out, i heard that was epic in the arcades, i seen them way later, i seen mortal kombat 2 earlier on before it came out on consoles, but missed that one too was just too young to be in arcades enough.
@@videogamepolak0 and back when there were fights around arcades
@@therealjaystone2344 yeah, and I always wondered as a kid, how was there always these MK or SF experts everywhere? The game was only out a few months and they were there with a crowd around them, they were even professional SNK players it seems. Anyways, idk why your comment reminded me of that.
Do you remember what you paid for it? I remember sf2 turbo being $75
I turned 10 in 1992. The memories this brings back, especially of the Summer of 1992 playing Link to the Past all break long, watching Barcelona Olympics and checking out movies every week with my best friend is a magical period that can never be duplicated. Thank you for this.
Me turned 11 that year. Good times. Except I didn't play Nintendo systems.
Capcom ported 'Magic Sword' to SNES in '92 and is a hidden gem 🥰
I have a Magic Sword arcade machine sitting 15 feet from me as I write this.
Magic Sword is available with Final Fight Double Impact on Xbox!
It's neither hidden or a gem. Because it's from Capcom you expect it to be good and it isn't
It’s like watching a Nintendo Direct, but backwards and with a time machine.
Hello
What is a "Nintendo direct"?
Good idea!
Nintendo wishes they could pull off a Direct with this many bangers.
@@PsychomachineryEBM a video presentation full of games unveiled at each season
SNES v Genesis (Mega Drive) and the little brother versions NES v Sega Master System era were the greatest times to be a gamer. Both companies gave us brilliant choices and to this day I often play the 8-16 bit games from these consoles. Thanks for the memories SLX :)
this was really the best and most memorable year for me on the SNES. lots of classic games. The wait for SF2 to be ported home was really painful but super happy it finally arrived.
Having that game at home was almost unreal at the time.
Even though the Super Nintendo proved it’s capabilities time and time again, I was amazed at the port of Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers.
SFII was it! It was the defining game that put the SNES over!
This was an amazing time to be a kid
Nice to see Top Gear being mentioned. The games is absolutely adored here in Brazil, with its soundtrack being covered by rock bands in early 2000s in every videogame concert.
Horizon Chase for the PS4 had the same composer as Top Gear, in fact. Some people even consider it a spiritual sequel.
Horizon Chase looks a bit too much like a mobile game. Almost.
Cannot understate how many hours my friends and I played street fighter 2 for snes. We were 10 at the time so it’s all we played all the time.
Dude yes. Like HOURS
many many hours, I would get pissed when my brother would consistently beat me with chun li,I at the time would only use guile
I can't believe how much time has passed and how quickly!
This is good stuff man.
The SNES will always be my favorite console ever.
One of the greatest first years for any gaming console ever. Maybe the greatest honestly.
Most certainly its as if the thing launched and successes in the form of killer titles started flying towards the thing and it was only its first year...Golden!
There was a ton of great titles on the SNES, it was a good era in gaming
Axelay for me is a game that marked me forever...
So different... so beautiful!!
And your soundtrack?
Fabulous... I never stopped playing!!!
1992-1993 man! Super SNES, SF2, Michael Jackson, The Simpsons, Metallica/GNR, WWF, Chicago Bulls... My favorite years!
Probably the best year for the SNES outside of 1994.
1994, the year a bounty hunter returned in a big way!
Madden 94 was the shit. I think it's the last Madden I ever owned.
Final Fantasy 6
Also in 1994 super punch out and I think X-Men mutant apocalypse and possibly super street fighter 2
Everyone's forgotten Donkey Kong Country also came out in '94?
1992 was a good year for the SNES: not just because of A Link to the Past and many great ports, but also because of programs like Mario Paint, the father of the Super Mario Maker series. Mario Paint showed that the SNES could be more than a game console. With the incorporation of the SNES Mouse, Mario Paint could be used to help people create visual art and music.
As much as I love my modern consoles. I’ll always have a soft spot for retro consoles like the snes. Love just putting in a game and u r strait into things. None of these updates or installation that takes friggen ages. And hiring a game on weekends was always a treat
I couldn’t get over how awesome snes was then.
I still can’t get over it, I love it lol
I missed the memo where it stopped being awesome? :P
The Super Famicom is my favourite system overall. The controller is perfect, RGB video, amazing games...
Never owned an SNES but I would visit my cousins who did and they had Super Mario World and it was AWESOME!
SF2, Contra 3, Zelda... these games convinced me the SNES was the new king of the 16bit consoles.
Not even the 2022 Switch lineup of games couldn’t beat 92 SNES lineup of games
Damn, this year had most of what I consider must play and all time classics for the SNES...
in 92 I became a teenager, so you could basically say that year was literally the end of my "childhood". There is almost nothing in the world more purely nostalgic to me than this era of video games
We was so lucky being into gaming in the early nineties. I think the best time out of any generation
SNES had so many GOATs I could start a farm
This was one year. Look at these games. It's unreal the amount of classics
Fantastic review! '92 was probably the greatest year of game releases in my opinion. You nailed it SegaLordX 👏🏼 👌
Turtles in Time,Super Contra 4 and Super Castlevania 4 are one my favourite SNES games I’ve played in its 16-bit library.
@Rohaldos Yeah, that's fair enough. I was always partial to Alien Wars over Hard Corps, but both were great.
NHL 94 in a video about 1992?

Super Nintendo is and still a game system. No updates, just plug and play. You got to love the 16-bit era!
@@SegaLordX Yup! Sometimes all it takes to turn the tide of a war is one really amazing game!
I bought a SNES in 1992 for Street Fighter 2. It went on to become one of the best consoles ever in my opinion (top 3 with PSone & PS2).
Street Fighter 2 was such a big deal. I remember the week of release. Everyone came over that night! The memories are unbelievable.
It is awesome to own both, but sadly not enough people think like us. To some, the 16 bit wars never ended, and they never left the playground.
@@danielespeziari5545 so stupid indeed 😂, but at least we grew up in such a great era!
I just miss this era of gaming so much.. regardless great list as always SLX
Worse yet is that I don't know a single person that cares about this era. Single player until the end of time lol.
4th Gen is my favorite. 1992 kicked ass.
Street fighter 2 was a game myself and 2 others killed in the summer of 1992....would play this for hours...
The 16 bit era between SNES & Sega Genesis was one the greatest era's of all time. First party, Third party, Licensed games or Sports titles, both put out tons of awesome games.
The 8 and 16 bit console generations really, really spoiled us with tons of treasure.
The 16 bit era still gives me chills!
I remember my family was poor I never had a Nintendo, my cousin had one and I loved it amazing times wow it flies
Walking outside of your house in the rain was a magical moment in A Link to the Past for me...Such a great game!
Growing up, me and my friends would rotate going to each other's houses as one had a SNES, I had a Genesis, one had a PC and Turbografx 16 and the other had a Neo-Geo. Good times back then.
Really enjoyed slx talking so passionately about the snes and I love playing it 1 of the best controller s ever made to
I wasted so many years being a Sega hardcore gamer and would argue with my cousin for hours about both systems lol we still talk about it now but I’m glad I eventually listened to him and was able to enjoy SNES. The early 90s really were ridiculously amazing for gaming!
bro this video made me cry 😢 bring so much memories
Great picks and 1992 was probably my fav year owning a SNES.
One minor gripe I have: I hate Super Double Dragon. It was such a disappointment to me and I cannot stand how slow it plays. A shame considering I was such a huge fan of the NES DD games and beat-em-ups in general.
Damn, I had no idea those all came out in 92. Felt like there was a much larger time between some of those and the launch.

Great list. I have fond memories playing the games on your list
One of my fave random memories from being a kid was my dad picking me up from school (last day of 3rd grade) and randomly taking me to Toys R Us. He told me to pick a game and I chose A Link to the Past. It had been out for a few months at the time and I wanted to play it badly. It was a great summer.
Comfy sweater of a topic, thanks bro
Beautifully said at the end there Mel, I agree wholeheartedly.
I believe every word I spoke. Best generation ever.
I was still playing genesis in 96.
I got the SNES Christmas on 92. In fact, I believe I got my Genesis on the same day. SF2 and Mario World were the games I got with it. Man, the time I had. I consider 92 the SNES best year and 93 the year of Genesis.
So many memories of lots of these games and having friends and cousins over to play them with.
I'll never forget all the fun times I had.
I always like playing smash TV with two controllers. It allows you to use two super Nintendo controllers turn sideways so you can use both D pads

Konami did a great job throughout that one. There are several titles here I've never heard of so I hope to check them out.
Great to hear!
