  • Dimitri good, Edelgard bad, Rhea bad, Claude funni, etc. etc. Anyways, I finally got a song from one of my favorite games of all time!
This probably sounds corny, but I tried to put a lot of thought into the characters, concepts, and context of the song by expanding on the original with additional instruments, interwoven melodies, and some pitch and tempo differences. I wanted the piano to represent Rhea and mimic the sound of crying (per the name of the piece) with those loud beginnings/exhales which fade out before beginning anew. The harp was intended to represent the flow of time, with its constant motion and the focus on it towards the end showing how time has finally caught up with Rhea. The celesta was intended to represent Sothis through its soft echoing touches and playing the Song of the Nabateans, thus acting as a sort of comforting voice and lullaby for the piano/Rhea. Honestly, I didn't really know what the viola was supposed to represent, but it seemed fitting. Maybe it could be understood as indicating the sort of split personas of Rhea?
Feel free to use this song in a video, all I'd like is for me to be credited so that more people can (hopefully) enjoy my songs!
Composed by Takeru Kanazaki, Hiroki Morishita, and Rei Kondoh
Arrangement by Libera and from ninsheetmusic.org
    Reimagined by Nintempo
All audio is an original creation and no copyright infringement of the melody is intended.

Very nice and inspired rearrangement! Absolutely love Three Houses, and I like the attention to the story in the instrumentation. Maybe the difference between the viola and piano is the "difference" between Rhea and Sothis.
