It's idk..., I love the bond they have, like a endless platonic friendship, but I cannot see them with romantic feelings. Not because she looks like a child nor because she doesn't even exist. I would like to also add that even if you do find love, that's not what defines your happiness. Happiness comes from within yourself. Love may bring out the potential to find that happiness, but it is not the true root of it. Inside yourself, you know exactly who you are if you look deep enough. When you do, you will find inner peace.

Just finished my 3rd route (BE route) today and came here to listen to this before i go to bed.
I agree with OP that one may never find love, but there are friendships and other good things (gaming for example) in life.

This is the perfect theme to end a game with a scene like that. It gives it a whole better meaning then just making it to "another but extremly overkillcute support talk."
Also it plays at the end of a five year war. At the end of probably the worst time during your life. A time you will hopefully never have to go through again. It should give you hope. You should be able to move on now. Just forget what happened and try to live a new life in the now finally peaceful world.
It also makes you wanna cry. At least to me. Isn't it just wonderful to experience a beautiful song or event or having a good time? Seeing beautiful or pure things and moments of others? To be able... at least for a moment to put all those stupid feelings aside. All the knowledge of how much more the life is and everything then only being joyful. And instead just focusing on this one moment in particular? It are those things who remind you that there is a worth in living. No matter how much you hate the life - never forget that there are always things you love in.
I don’t know about you, but I think a lot of people’s lives would be better with a few more overkillcute support talks 😋 I agree though, this song perfectly summaries the moment, while still reflecting on earlier events in the game due to being a remix of the tea time song.

What a fitting title. A place to rest can mean a physical place, or a person to rest with...
This song makes me feel like I’m going to cry. Fire Emblem has been a huge part of my life since 2018 and has helped me through so much. Without all the silly characters and soothing music I don’t know where I’d be. I owe a part of my life to this game, and It’s my dream to become a voice actress for it. I might come off as a weeb or a simp or a young person going through a phase. I do not care. Listening to this song makes me really reflect on how Fire Emblem has changed me for the better. And to think that in the near future I could just forget about all of it saddens me. Very much, this means the world to me. Thank you Intelligent Systems, and thank you to all the Voice actors/actresses that helped really make this game and this franchise a real thing. I hope you know how much your fans love and appreciate you. I’m out.

Little musical analysis: I never thought hearing the Oboe would sound so romantic. Usually it would be a violin or something less eerie and more open(a flute for example), but the way I see it, the sound matches with the ending of either route you took. A long and hard journey, many truths and secrets revealed, many battles won and lost, and to still making it to the end just to marry the person you love. It's like taking the leap or finally crossing a finished bridge and the Oboe perfectly represents the doubtful yet sooth-like feeling, especially since you're proposing.
