I just bought a 2025 and love it especially the blind spot and 160 camera system.
We are Toyota fans. Wouldn't touch a new Tundra with the V6 Turbo until there is a time tested repair of said engine. Let alone the new model 4Runner with a 4cyl turbo. It's also disappointing that the Pro models are hybrid only. We'll be keeping our '20 Tundra Pro 5.7 and our '22 4Runner ORP 4.0 for the long haul.
I bought a 2025 1794… I’m averaging 14.5. My 2019 Pro was getting 15. The MPG was a strong consideration in buying it. It also has a hard shift at interstate speeds. I’m going to have to get it looked at… not expecting this on this truck.
I have a 2025 1794 and getting 15.4 mpg - much lower than expected as well....
But with that being said, I love the Tundra
Hybrid is lackluster performance. No tow hooks. Sagging rear end when towing. Fake motor noises. All they had to do was install the 5.7 v8 in the new tundra. The v6 should have been an option .
All they had to do is relocate that starter in the 5.7 and they would’ve had a banger.
All they needed to add was a turbo to the 5.7L. SMH
I own a 2022 Tundra and I agree with the commentator. Especially the blind spot on my tow double mirrors. It took a bout a year to get used to, btw,, I love my Tundra.
I just bought a new 2025 SR5 , I’ve been needing a truck and wanting one . I had a 2018 Toyota Corolla for a long time . I’m not too familiar with tundras like people who have owned several . I don’t need much , I like it don’t need something super crazy . I like it and I heard tundras have had issues . My Corolla never broke down on me. I like Toyotas reliability.
I have a 2025 non-hybrid SR5, 4WD. I'm getting 21 mpg with 80% city driving.
I have a 2016 Tundra Platinum 5.7, with over 150,000 miles, never had any major issues. The only issue was changing the shock absorbers twice, which as turned out, was not related to shock absorbers...!!!..It was the incompetence of the person putting on the new tires. As often is the case, the least experience guy in the garage is in charge of putting on the new tires. And the fool failed to "balance" the tires properly and do "road force" before putting on the tires. I change the oil every 5,000 miles, use 93 gas, and the car runs like a dream. Will not buy a new Tundra until the issues are resolved.
These types of reviews are a shame compared to real world reviews that expose more of the real pros and cons. This is a review that is built off of reading specs of a manual and no real word experience. I have owned 3 Tundras, each had their Pros and Cons, but all were very reliaable and held value like no other car or truck I have owned.
I don't listen to towing or payload numbers from manufacturers. For max towing numbers they always use a 2wd regular cab truck. Toyota doesn't even offer such a thing. When you compare similar trucks, they are all pretty close. Same with prices
I would not pay that much for a full size V6 disaster truck . I'll keep my V8.
Lord I wish I had that truck that a beautiful truck
very few SR or SR5 double cabs all I see on most lots are limited crew max and above
I’d rather have the Tundra over the others. Just need a dependable engine!
My best friend works at the Ford Claycomo plant where they build the F150. I've always been a Ford truck guy but he's been there for years and I know way too much and could never buy a Ford..
I’ll keep my reliable 03 and 07 Tundras. You can keep this gizmo contraption Toyota. It might work ok for mamma to get some groceries.
They shit the bed with this truck
Then in about 4,000 miles the engines blow apart! JUNK
The Toyota has much more power throughout the rpm curve versus my ford 5.0 coyote truck, much more power early on in the rpm range as well
The claims that GM , FORD, and RAM make are not safe towing loads , l feel sorry for people that bank on their towing claims only to be disappointed.
What we talk about your safe 🛻 Chevy GMC RAM after a year later they’re falling parts &engine !
Buyer beware. Check out other TH-cam videos or other media sites -- the 2025's are having the same engine issues that the 2022/2023/2024's have. Toyota is recalling over 100,000 vehicles.
Shoulda had a V8. Haha.
The 2025 still has the engine bearing issues
Toyota is falling from the hill 😢 My God where is Toyota going ?
They decided to made Toyota in Mexico.
They decided let American engineering to scraped 5.7L V8, and leaf suspension systems.
They made many mistakes- just liked GMC, Chrysler, and Ford by American traditional cultures that destroying quality vehicles.
Dang you doh"t like toyota.
Junk
Yeah the engine is 💩
