- Xbox went to Tokyo Game Show 2024 and for the most part, had a great show. There were def missing big games that we all would want but I feel they showed they are committed to Japan

Did king David say the whole slate was coming to xbox? Where FF7 and FF16?
releasing every game all at once isn't a great idea if you think about it. We have many games coming out for the next several months into first quarter of 2025. Not to mention between now & by spring next year we'll be getting tons of other 3rd party games. SE giving us 3 new games two which are on game pass is great. we're eating great compared to Sony's lineup with an assortment of games my friend.

No one can say "Xbox can't make deals with Japanese publishers" anymore. SEGA, ATLUS, BANDAINAMCO, SQUARE ENIX all partnered with Xbox
The Xbox showcase this morning brought with it much of the Japanese support I’ve been clamoring for for some time now, so I’m a happy camper. No new games, but I’m okay with that considering the news the show delivered.
For me, this Xbox TGS showcase has me even more excited than their June showcase.
Xbox had more Japanese partners than Sony.. Let that sink in

Getting excited about a showcase is like getting excited about a picture of something you can’t use yet. Now imagine the picture is blurry and out of focus and you have an idea what it’s like to be excited about an Xbox show.
I gotta say, Atelier and Threads of Time kinda peaked my interest.

@@elzayx9222 That exclusive deal expired in May 29 2024. Which is why everybody was expecting for ff7 remake to show up on xbox in this Tokyo game show.
@@newtype7460 At this point, I think they're actually going to Mass Effect this, and we won't get it until the Remake Trilogy is complete.
@3Rayfire if that's the case then it's going to be a long wait. The third part is not about to come out until 27 or 28
@@TheDarkdemonking I think the will release the 2 pack on Xbox next year or 2026 then have the 3rd one come out multiplat. I'm not sure if the deal is through all 3 games, but I can see Square wanting to go full multiplat on the next one day one

FragPunk snagged me on the reveal, and I hate looter shooters, but it's a great concept.
I would say for starcraft or pc game like that you should be able to play but you'll need to have keyboard and mouse on console in order to play.
To answer about Starcraft? YES! More so in China and Korea than Japan but yes. Hell Bethesda has a devoted little base they addressed regarding Japan. So no it wasn't being forced on you, it was for the fanbase of those games IN JAPAN (and Asia). Hence the Starfield localization, Indiana Jones especially because Japan loves Disney properties but they like having it localized. However there is a hardcore niche that loves having the English voices for Disney stuff with their Japanese subtitles. Learned that from KH. In general western titles just need more and better localizing to appeal to the audience there. For me it was an 8/10 cause everything appealed to me, seeing Keiichiro Toyama on Xbox's stage after PlayStation dissolved Japan Studios? So much little wins. King really missed the mark on his take on this. I believe you captured it a bit better so I hope my comments give you insight :)
in korea starcraft is huge still, maybe that was the thinking behind it? Ive picked up some of these games on steam already but great for PC gamepass to add the jrpg's. good showing by xb imo

Sir. A majority of those games are old games. They've been on both PlayStation, PC, and Nintendo for decades. Which shows how niche the Xbox brand is, for these games to be finally arriving on Xbox. Especially when those consoles are down 42% year over year. Which means that no wants an Xbox, period.

Nah. You're just an example of why most developers avoid Xbox sir. Gamepass has conditioned the entire Xbox community to not buy any games. You expect all games to arrive in Gamepass because what's the point of investing in Xbox.
I thought the same with Yakuza Infinite wealth because their 2023 showcase every game showed finished with day 1 on Gamepass but its cool Ultimate is stacked with games to play i always have 6-12 games in my backlog to play ontop of games i pick up on sale like monster hunter world
@@Shatterstar187 no I was as certain as my dogs name that it was publicly anounced for gamepass..so I was planning on playing it on gamepass... the whole... dont buy games thing is a load of crap... I buy anything I want to buy same as I always have... also if xbox gamers truly didnt buy games Sony wouldn't spend millions every year blocking games from xbox.. cause what spend money blocking games from people who wouldn't even buy them....right....I dont expect all games to be in gamepass I just pay attention to the ones that do.. and that game being announced in gamepass was one of the main 3 things I was interested in that whole show...
@@De1usionsofGrandeur No It's not sir. The numbers don't lie. Gamepass has conditioned the Xbox community to not buy any games because the only games that's selling from Xbox, are the multiplatform games.
The majority of those multiplatform games profit stems from PC and PlayStation, not Xbox. Which is why people aren't buying the Xbox console/hardware. You don't need it sir.

State of play only showed ghost of Woke exclusive to the platform Xbox showed Trials of Mana and Legends on mana today on gamepass thats the difference State of play was a 2/10 and Xbox tokyo show was an 8/10

Bruh....in all due defense of Xbox and not being one to defend a corpo, at least they reviving more IPs from decades ago plus adding JRPG/JARPG on the console. Meanwhile Playstation only remastering HZD and other games that don't need a remaster. Everything on Playstation currently is either 3rd party or a remaster of popular Playstation 4 titles that's only 1 gen old. Astro Bot is the only none remaster/3rd party game out currently for Playstation. I seen more first party IPs from Nintendo and Xbox this gen that are new IPs than from Playstation who has HUNDREDS or THOUSANDS of IPs they could revive. Wait I forgot. One of the main IPs they have, Twisted Metal, was axed this year or last year for a Last of Us remaster.
Edit: They could of made more money remastering Bloodborne plus add a PC port but they scared of money
