Every time there's a thread about Mikio Fujioka on your favorite metal forum, you'll go in there and compare it unfavorably to guitarists you like more. When you see people liking Mikio Fujioka, you'll be three inches from their left ear whispering, "You need to get a life!" because that makes you feel good and you deserve to feel good and no one else does.

I offer great love and respect to all in this montage, even though this place can rock they're probably in a better place rocking harder now. "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. The same could be said for any group of people if you put it in the context of this video. Hairdressers, bus drivers, cashiers, gardeners........etc. Know what I mean? And I mean this in a positive way. It's a very very small number when you compare to the number of Rockers and Metalheads that are still alive. I love that people honor other people the way we do. I just found the comments to your post interesting since 1. Who knows if they were addicted to anything except oxygen? 2. We all "live too fast" and 3. It goes with any job, not just musicians and producers.

I had just recently finished my first horror film, and couldn't wait to deliver it to him, as he was legitimately exited about the concept. I was shocked and saddened with his death. It was the first "celebrity" death that really hit me hard (maybe second behind Dime.) I play his music EVERY day. I read his messages often. Rest in power for everybody on this list especially for my two favorite drummers Vinnie Paul and Ben Graves.... I was tearing up the whole video and just started crying when I saw Ben Graves and once I saw Vinnie I just cried even more to the point where i almost passed out. I feel a little weird for doing that.....

Jill Janus was the emcee for the last Rockstar Mayhemfest fan shredder contest that they had in 2013 ai believe...every stop on that tour conducted a guitar playing contest from the 10 best people that auditioned at the Jaegermeister booth in the merch area that was set up...they had just picked the 10th contestant when my friend and guitar instructor Dave Palmer picked up the guitar used for the trials and began jamming away...he went on and on and on playing ,just having a good time when the guy in charge came up to him and said.. "we only take ten people at these things, but you're in anyhow"...Dave was the 11th and easy winner of the custom schecter guitar that was first prize....Jill was the cool host of the event up on the main stage before the headliners came on...Zombie was the main event that year...she was a perfect choice for the job and really seemed to enjoy it...that was a great day for us and she represented the sponsors and herself very well....I was sad to see the story of her passing

I was a huge, and I mean HUGE, Mr.Big fan in my younger years and I had no idea that Pat Torpey passed away this year. No clue. That breaks my heart. I'd always dreamt of seeing a reunion show with them and sadly I never will. I hope the other band members are doing well these days and my heart is with them as I'm sure they're still feeling the loss. This has been a difficult year for rock. To me losing Vinnie-Paul was particularly brutal, with Pantera being my most favorite metal band ever & the one band I've seen in concert the most. However I found solace knowing that Vin & Dime are together again the way they're meant to be...together no matter what plain. God bless the families, friends, loved ones & fans of everyone in this memorial video. May next year be better for all. RIP.
