That one's hot of the press. Glad you enjoyed it. We're rebuilding that entire bike: engine, suspension, steering... even the plastics are getting a makeover.

Great video 👍. The valves with the dual spring appeared to be a Kibblewhite setup. For this gen Honda it’s a common “upgrade”. As opposed to the finicky Ti intakes that require often adjustment the kibblewhites are mostly set it and forget it. Just food for thought.

330 hours and still haven't had to re shim my intakes. Did however go one size smaller on the exhaust shims yesterday while doing top end rebuild.

Thanks for some great helpful videos so my son and I were able to get it race ready instead of sending it to a dealer. Many greetings from Uwe and Noah from Denmark

hey, quick question how come you didn't check the decompression arm for clearance. you may have off camera, but what should it be.

I just did the KW intake conversion in my '04 450. Manual says decompression is exhaust clearance plus. 014". Mine were at. 010" so I set the decompression clearance at. 024". A lot harder to kick over now, but starts 1st or 2nd kick if I ease it thru TDC then boot it.

Also to keep in mind that the keepers are valve specific. So don't mix up the exhaust and intake keepers.

One question I was wasn’t 100% on was the orientation of the cam when timing. Technically it could be lobes down and be 180 degrees out. I assume that would matter for the spark timing…. Right…
