I just picked up one of these bikes. 2018 with only 1600 miles on it. No idea how the owner didn’t put more on it, I put 120 on it the first day. These are really great. I am not super crazy about the bags, wish they were top load. But this is a great riding bike.
I sold my 2018 Road Glide after six months and bought this motor. Took a hit, but I'm happy.
thanks for sharing - love the 1200 RT's. BTW, the toughest men in the world, love puppies and other animals, but have a low tolerance for stupidity in people!
I've liked this bike for quite a while now. I have a 2017 Street Glide now and will probably make the RT my last motorcycle (I'm 64) once the Harley is paid off. I agree that it is probably the best all around motorcycle I've ever ridden. I went with the SGS this last time simply for the touring comfort a cruiser style bike provides. But if I could only choose one bike to ride, the RT would be it.

The Street Glide is aesthetically more appealing IMO,but the RT is a far superior bike in every other way,and I own a Street Glide Special.

Labs are such good dogs. I've had two RTs and two R1200GSA. Only thing is the seat height too tall for me. back to Harley

I love the new red color scheme, but I don't understand why they didn't paint the front panels on the fearing the same red. They did the same thing with that blue model they had, and those panels were a flat grey. It makes the bike look unfinished.
2017 BMW R1200RT ...BEEE U TI FULL. Just missed a 2017 with 2500 miles today. Soooo close to one!!!!

That BMW R/1200/RT is a real looker! So is the puppy! Of this and the K 1600 GTL, which is a better bike in your own opinion? Im partial to the BMW brand, because I used to own one when I was younger.

I like the rounded bags instead of those squared bags. Can you put running boards instead of pegs for Touring comfort?
Sport you really are trying to get me to buy a second bike cause that 1200R is looking better all the time. The RT is a replacement for the SGS but that's a way off.

Can you remove that stupid antenna easily? I would like an option for a shorter one if possible. Anything in the aftermarket to get rid of that thing in my view? Such a silly thing to ruin the motorcycle for me.

Great bikes but unfortunately here in Austin TX, our local and only BMW dealer (Woods) sucks so badly that I sold my last BMW and bought an FJR so I don't have to deal with them anymore after several bad experiences servicing my R1200R there. BMW Customer Care simply didn't care so no more BMW's for me. Great bikes though.
fleuger99 - Come down to San Antonio to Alamo powersports and get it done. It’s a stand alone BMW dealer.
I laugh when you complain about being 36 degrees in December. Where I live it was 42 below in December. No biking here.
The clunky sound produced ,is that normal ...when you shift to the 1st gear..

Got rid of my 2017 Milwaukee 8 for a BMW R1200rt
Kevin Voeks I went the opposite way, got rid of my 2016 RT for a 17 Road King
