Good video! One thing worth correcting… when you hold the switch for more than 5 seconds, it turns everything off including traction control. You said advanced track is off, but traction control is still on. This is incorrect. Traction control is also off. You can prove this to yourself by mashing the gas on a surface without great grip. You will spin right up to redline. This is also in the Mustang owner’s manual.
@@kentuckystumpjumper2882 At the drag strip…? Are you doing a burnout to heat the tires? Is the track heavily prepped? You can leave the system on and should be able to get the car to run mid 10s. If you are getting bog off the line, you can try different launch RPMs or turning off traction control.
Thanks for this. I used this technique today. Without the AT off she pulls power. You’re a saint! What rpm do you launch at typically and what Psi on a prepped track?
Sup man! Just subbed, already was following you on IG. Always thought dragstrip mode was the way to go,but I'm gonna try this next time I go. Thanks bro.
So by not using so much pressure on the brakes reduce the lag when launching? Cause when u let off the brakes it's likenthe car doesn't fo right away it's fairly stupid. Wish there was a tuning capability to remove that completely
Great video. Saw the Ford Engineer in a vid try to explain holding both paddles (putting car in neutral) & then bring up rpm for a launch. I'm not ready to try this as I'm not fully broke in yet. Can u address this topic, as I may be incorrect in what I thought I understood. Can we launch car from the neutral position or no. I'd think no Myself.. but I don't know for sure yet. Does anyone else besides myself think about a different set of rear tires besides our 4R or Cup2's for having fun at track. & not necessarily drag radials either. Perhaps just a more budget tire for shredding over a season. Or perhaps it's just easier to wear out our 4R & just replace them, vs extra rear wheels & tires.. again. It's all just opinions, but we ea have different reasons why we do what we do.. thx again!!
@@gapinsgt500 awesome thanks sir. Will have to give this a try. I think I accidentally did this a few nights ago and cut a 3.22sec 0-60 on a random freeway. Not bad for no burn out on radials
When you disable advancetrac you also loose traction control. So that means you do not have launch control that controls wheel spin. However you can still use your 2step/rpm limiter. Launch control and your 2step/rpm limiter are 2 different things. Hope that helps answer your question.

That put me in a curb one day lol. What would you suggest doing on stock tires?

Great video and explanation! Would add keep burnout to a minimum, do not need to be "john force" as that adds to the clutch overtempt issues. :-)

Thanks for the sub! This will make a big diffence in you 60' and ET. I hope to get put this weekend for some testing myself
So "Track mode"yields better times then "drag strip mode?" Ive been losing sleep not being able to get my 500 into the 10's 😭🥲

Good morning
You’re living in manual mode in track ? So you are shifting once you start running down the track correct or you letting the car do it?
It lets you use launch control with advance Trac off? Thought it didn’t let you do that? Thanks!
@BadgerGT500 Launch control is disabled. However, the 2 step will still work.
@@gapinsgt500 got it, thank you!
So you’re leaving traction control on, but only turning off Advancetrack once in Track mode correct?
That is correct.

What's your 60ft been on the street? I got a 3.4 0-60 with rollout but 60ft was still a 2 lol
you mean 5-60. real world is 0-60. roll-out is for magazine racers and magazines just started doing this roll-out crap 2016?:.
So is the best combination trac off/ adv trac off... Or trac on/adv trac off?

@@gapinsgt500whats the best rpm to launch at?
@pjbiggleswerth8903 really depends on the prep. With the tune I have now 3200 to 3800 with good prep is where I like it.
GT500 doesnt launch hardly at all stock. It bogs down to judt above idle no matter what rpm. Weak in 2nd too. tune it and its fixed.
