Thanks for the compliment! We talk about one day when we get older and it’s tough to get into the bed of a truck camper we’d consider going to a class-c. What don’t you like about your class c?
Thank you for the suggestion. I need more Benadryl for sure. I used it all for my pollen and tree allergies and should definitely get more. Just got bit by a spider this week and wished I had some Benadryl for that. Thank you for watching and commenting🤘
Oh man I feel your pain!!, I have hit my head good on the slide out a number of times. I now use pool noodles on those sharp edges. One thing you could do with the LP, plumb in a "T" and have a quick connect in place for the BBQ. Our 2004 Lance 1161 has one in place behind where the passenger side back wheel of the truck meets the camper, just where the drop off is.
Hitting your head on the slide is the worst. A pool noodle would be a great idea. As far as the LP quick connect, I have the same one you’re referring to. My struggle is that the quick connect has a pressure regulator before it and then my grill also has a pressure regulator on it so there isn’t enough flow. Do you have that same problem?
My grill does not have a regulator on it. If your grill has the regulator separate from the temp setting knob, then you could remove the regulator. I have one other grill, that the regulator and settings knob are all part of the same component, making it so that the grill cannot be modified. The one I use on my camper is an Aussie grill that mounts to a swing away bracket on the back bumper of the camper. @@thecumminscamper
@@denniskwasnycia1950 my grill is the same as the one you’re describing where your temp regulation is through the pressure regulator. Would it be safe to add a ball valve to a propane line and use that as my way to regulate the temp of my grill while then being able to utilize the quick connect on the Lance?
What brand of BBQ do you have? there may be a conversion kit . That said, a ball valve may be possible, but personally, I think it's time to get another grill that does not have the valve and regulator together. When I attempted to change my first one, "with green bottles" I found that the regulator/valve assembly bolted right up to the burner in such a way, that it really was not doable. @@thecumminscamper
Loved the video crazy I have lived & travel around FL for 25 years & only seen 1 small gator LOL, I have been down Alligator Alley 50 times at least never seen one stay safe enjoy FL
That’s crazy that you’ve only seen 1 gator in your time! We have seen so many since we’ve been here. Kayaking at any of the local springs while looking for manatees we’ve seen gators. They want nothing to do with us. They just wanna soak up the sun and be left alone in my experience. I’ll continue to keep my distance

Awesome place! Do you have many issues with your slide? We're researching rigs and I'm torn about the slides, I love the space it offers but it's something else to break down......
We haven't had any issues with our slide but Ive heard the older slide units from Happijack are better than the newer slide brands. Not sure how much truth there is there, just what I heard from some other truck camper owners over the years. Personally, I wouldn't get a slide in my dream unit. Less weight, less to break, easier to be comfortable when camping "stealth" than dealing with a slide out. I will say if you get a unit with a slide, try and choose one that will allow you easy access to your bathroom and fridge without putting the slide out. What a pain it would be to have to deploy your slide just to take a quick bathroom break on the road! Thanks for the comment and for watching
I agree Ben! Benadryl would have been a better choice than advil. I need to get some more as we’re currently all out. Thanks for the suggestion and concern also a big thanks for watching the video and taking the time to comment!

You’re correct that it’s a 2kw generator. Our AC is a small Coleman Machine 8 cub that I bought because I knew it would work with a small generator or a regular extension cord to someone’s house. I could use a soft start for the AC to help with the surge of the compressor. The humidity has been ever changing. One day it’s 38% the next day it’s 100%.
