I'm impressed by Jetblue, especially with the in-flight WiFi and the food itself which looked pretty tasty for aeroplane food. Great scenery flying over Newfoundland. Reminds me of flying back from Mexico and we flew over first the Niagara Falls, and then Newfoundland afterwards, and as it was a clear day we could see it all clearly.

After spending the first 40 years of my life traveling all over to Asia you got me to break my Europe duck and make the trip. It was unbelievable!! And I cannot wait to get back again!! I remember flying on Panam to New York then on to LA on the round the world flight. Went Clipper class 747 from Heathrow, great food as much to drink as you wanted. That was 1980 and I was only 26. Great choice of free music and films. It was my first real flight, since I fly to Portugal regularly using Jet 2 or Easy Jet, can't complain and serves a purpose.
JetBlue are excellent IMHO. Did the same flight from Gatwick to JFK last June in the Even More Space seat. Try the Business class seat if you can Lee. Another level! You were lucky for clear skies to see so much from your window. Also the middle seat not taken was a bonus I bet
I haven't been able to fly for past couple due to my mental health declining, but thanks to you bringing much needed smiles with these flying travel vlogs it gives me much needed smiles and hope for the future. Hopefully I will fly again soon with my wife 👍. Awesome travel vlog enjoy your trip 👌

Lee, the flight looked terrific. I have never had a bad experience on Jetblue. I love Jetblue, you get so many perks and the seats are always the most comfortable. You did something very clever there. You went to the departures drop off area instead of the arrival area. It's so much less congested up there than downstairs. You're lucky you got in before that crazy temperature drop. Should be much warmer for the rest of your trip. Look forward too seeing your adventures. I am a little pissed I have to deal with issues with my mom, but I will hopefully see you on your next trip in.
Brilliant video Lee and what a bargain price on JetBlue, still not 100% sure I could manage a long haul flight on a single isle aircraft but service looked excellent, food choices is a great idea and ordering as soon as you board seems a great idea, food presentation wasn't the best but if it tasted as good as it looked no issues there, JetBlue certainly competing with the legacy carrier's On their London to New York and Boston routes. On a aircraft spot how good was it seeing a Lufthansa A340-600 ( the really long 4 engine plane) on the tarmac at JFK. Have a great trip .

Jet Blue fun facts: Jet Blue (airline code B6) services both Heathrow and Gatwick from New York, using the Airbus A321LR single-aisle aircraft. This aircraft achieves greater range (4000 nautical miles) with auxiliary fuel tanks. The A321XLR (not yet delivered to anyone) will reach even further.
There is a rumo(u)r going around that Jet Blue is working on a code share arrangement with United. This could turn out to be a way to work on or use Star Alliance status by flying Jet Blue. All unconfirmed at this point of course.
Out of pure curiosity I just priced out a trip for this month going JFK-LGW-JFK. The cheapest I could find on JetBlue (in dollars) was $516. Much of that is due to the Westbound flight costing about $125 more than the Eastbound flight. Still, in this day and age it's not bad at all. Generally speaking, trying to figure out the reasons for the fare on any particular flight and day being different from any other is not a productive use of one's time, so I don't bother to try. I'd definitely consider JetBlue to be a decent option for transatlantic travel. I spotted nothing in Lee's typically excellent video in the way of negative factors.
Hello Lee, congratulations for producing the best and most detailed Jet Blue transatlantic video I have seen to date. Transatlantic Y class standards started to slip from 1977 when Laker started Skytrain. The other national carriers then started to cut their Y fares which meant that standards over the coming years and decades declined. Even VS isn't that marvellous today. As for "the best transatlantic airline" I presume you refer to the UK market. I say that because SIA (Singapore Airlinles) is probably the best out of Europe as a whole. SIA operates FRA-JFK with fifth-freedom rights and has been deploying its A380 and recently its B777-300ER. Certainly SIA is great for Y class and its premium classes on the wide-bodies are unbeatable.
Great video Lee. Amazing views from your flight! When you flew over Leeds it was actually Huddersfield you were filming and you could see Huddersfield Town Stadium (John Smith's Stadium) . JetBlue seem to have it right compared to the other carriers!

Ah, Gatwick North Terminal. Reminds me of when I left the UK to live in Thailand. Two of my workmates came to see me off. Due to our work we had air side passes and they met me in departures. Our work uniform was similar to the police. One sat either side of me and to the casual observer it looked like I was being escorted out of the country by the police. Had some very odd looks from other passengers.
Jet Blue is on another level than the other USA airlines. I absolutely love flying with them.

The last person to look down on Leeds and Mansfield and give a thumbs up was a Luftwaffe bomb aimer in ww2🤣
There's an old joke that is kind of the flip side of this about a British Airways pilot who turns onto the wrong taxiway at Stuttgart.
Mansfield was heavily bombed by the Luftwaffe, causing several millions pounds worth of improvements.
